Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World

Chapter 920: Infinitely Close To Death

Chapter 920: Infinitely Close To Death

Raising his front legs and bringing them down harshly, the clone of the Ant God crawled his way through the narrow tunnel of the Great Gap.He pulled himself through the jagged in-betweens of the universe, ignoring the way his sprawling mass of exoskeleton armor kept striking the ethereal and very dangerous void.

The six eyes were focused on one thing and one thing only, getting those impudent puny immortals who actually dared to challenge the gods with their actions.

The Gap was so unclear, it was hard to tell what was what here.

Was the Ant God climbing upward? Was he climbing downward? Or was he crawling horizontally?

It was not possible to know because gravity was both non-existent and present at the same time here.

The four star-sized mandibles of the Ant God kept on clashing with the spinning environment, cutting seamlessly through the void.

Nothing could stand in the way of the Ant God, absolutely nothing.

Right ahead, a massive golden lion and a gigantic cat were frantically clawing away at the solid Gap in front of them.

The golden lion, the All-King, was relatively calm even as he was constantly shifting between an eldritch horror and something that could not be described properly.

Seth was the one who was panicking.

How could he not panic, he was literally being chased by the Ant God of Order and the pursuer was still getting closer and closer by the second.

Seth would normally not dare to look back, fearing it would slow him down, but his senses were heightened, and he could sense what was happening behind him.

The Ant behemoth kept on smashing his way to them and Seth could sense a buildup of power...

’Wait what?...’ Now that they thought about it, the Ant God had been using his physical body to chase after them all this while.

Even when he stepped through the fabric of reality and chased them into the Gap, that was just because the Ant God’s body was so powerful that it naturally widened the entrance to the Gap.

Moving faster than the speed of light? That was still owed to the insane physical status of the divine being.

The power that Seth was sensing was starting to build up, that was completely different from the physical might of the divine being.

This was the raw power that made the gods who they were, the very thing that separated them from the rest of the universe and made them nigh imperishable entities.

The Law.

And in the case of the Ant God, it was the Law of Order.

Being a Singularity, the Ant God was not merely going to control the Essence and Law of Order, he WAS Order in the flesh and spirit.

The power gathered at the center of his four mandibles, condensing to form a grey mass of energy.

"Get ready!" Kael said telepathically without stopping his movements for a single second.

He was aware of everything happening around him and knew just how dangerous what they were doing was.

Even if both Seth and Kael had merely sent clones to this place, it was still dangerous.

The gods, or most of them, had enough weight and power to attack the original body from the clone alone.

They definitely had to run.

"Ready for what?" Seth asked, his white eyes wide open as he rushed ahead, keeping up with Kael.

"This!" Kael said. Suddenly, he crouched down, his claws digging into the translucent jagged platform.

The All-King crouched and lowered his center of gravity, also shrinking himself and making use of multiple laws to reduce the tangibility of his presence.

Seth grabbed on to what Kael was talking about and immediately made a move to.

He dashed to the opposite direction, crouching low with his limbs and shielding himself in layers of Foreign Essence.

Right then.

*SHING!.....

...

...

...

BOOM!*

A thin grey beam the width of a mortal country, shot through the Gap, clearing a crude path into the foundations of reality and striking the backs of both Kael and Seth.

Although they had tried, how could they possibly dodge the attack of a god?

The top of Kael’s back was blasted open and Seth lost his front limb.

Their bodies collided with the translucent crystal walls of the Gap, crashing and being pierced by the jagged edges.

Fragments of reality pierced through their fur, cutting into their skin and breaking off violently.

The pain was astronomical, all their clones felt it.

And it wasn’t like some kind of sensation where the original body and other clones knew what was happening but didn’t actually feel anything themselves.

This time, all clones across all dimensions felt it.

*SHATTER!*

In the New Mortalverse of the Alphaverse, on a random planet.

George, the Primordial Monkey was stunned to hear that sound and he looked up to see his Master sitting there, under the blue tree.

His master, the All-King, was sitting under this aqua blue tree, listening to his rants and reports about the progress in technology that the monkeys were making.

George, with a journal in his hand and his black tail swirling to form an ’S’ shape, was ready to get to the most exciting part.

He was about to talk about how they could apply some of these new technologies to the war and to the vassal civilizations.

They had even begun to work on a technology that would let them observe what was happening beyond the universe.

That was what George was excited about the most, observing what was happening beyond the reaches of his intelligence.

However, he never got to tell Kael about it until today. And when he was getting to that part, he heard that shattering sound.

George was stunned by what he saw.

The All-King’s eyes were open, filled with golden shock. His hand grabbed the side of the tree and his fingers pierced into the bark.

It was the act of crushing the inner wood of the tree that created that shattering sound.

Kael’s expression was extremely dark right now. He looked pissed.

He stayed like that for a few seconds. His back was curved and his eyes were dazed.

George was curious, "All-King, are you okay?" He asked out of concern.

"Hehehe..." Kael abruptly burst into a fit of laughter. His shoulders shook and power surged from his body.

"Very good, very very good," Kael muttered as he straightened his back and went back to his calm demeanor.

He looked at George, "Carry on with what you were saying," Kael said.

George blinked, a little confused. What had happened?

"Okay, so concerning the new Underseer tech we have been developing lately..."

The Gap was calm and crumbling.

The beam had barely passed through the Gap that Kael and Seth got back up and immediately continued moving.

"There it is!" Kael shouted coldly.

His back squirmed disgustingly, flesh and bones stitched back together as his muscles circulated and his blood flowed.

Seth was also healing and he saw what Kael was talking about ahead.

The entrance to Myriad Heaven.

The Ant God was still behind them. In fact, the mandibles were only a few hundred meters behind them.

Seth, Kael, and the god had all turned into beams of light that streaked forward in a straight line. They raced faster than the speed of light and space.

They moved so fast that the Law of Speed was struggling to keep up.

Seth was only able to move this fast because of Kael’s support. If not he would have been left behind a long time.

With eyes narrowed, Seth pushed a large chunk of his freedom and Foreign Essence to Kael, boosting their speed again and creating a drill-like effect around them.

This wasn’t Original Heaven, they couldn’t afford to wait outside and slowly tear apart the membrane. They had to burst through, even if it meant entering a whole new world of pain.

Kael also seemed to have the same intention as he knocked his limbs back and shot forward. The both of them, with the drill-like aura around them collided with the visible entrance of the Heavenly Realm.

*BOOM!*

An explosion that rocked the world and alerted the sensitive minds of the universe spread out.

Blood splattered, flesh turned to paste, bones crumbled to dust.

Their bodies exploded on impact, blasting a minor path into the Realm of Change. The only thing that managed to make it through in that final moment was a little bit of flesh and their souls.

Behind what had just happened, the Ant God stopped all of a sudden. Despite the terrifying speed he was moving at, he was able to perfectly control his large body to stop right in front of the shimmering entrance.

The six eyes of the Ant God showed worry and concern.

There was a reason why Change was sealed.

"They’ve left us no choice," The Ant God said, connecting with the much stronger Original Self in Order Heaven.

"Highest Will, what do I do?" He asked to the skies and to the world.

He perched his insect legs on the translucent jagged surface of the Gap space.

Shortly after, a response was delivered.

"I have almost finished gathering enough power for the End. Do what you think needs to be done,"

Hearing the reply, the titanic Ant God nodded his large head and clicked his mandibles together.

A few seconds later, portals began to appear, millions of them.
