Chapter 919: The Ant God Of Order
Chapter 919: The Ant God Of Order
Beyond the dim space of the Outer Hole Galaxy, a colossal insect claw pierced through the void. The claw was impossibly large, probably as big as ten stars lined side by side in a row.
It was singular, curved, and looked very deadly.
However, being alone in this wide-open dark void far away from the galaxy, the insect claw did not look too impressive.
Maybe it was because this was just a small body part of a much larger creature.
"Wasteful immortal, you take our nonchalance for granted." A shrill male voice boomed across the spectrum of souls and sound as the claw moved again.
Already piercing through the void from the other place, the claw scratched down, cracking reality around it and tearing out a large chunk of the observable universe.
As this was done, there were effects. The void became unstable around the massive tear. Spatial storms appeared in multiples and elements sparked to life violently.
All this did not affect the owner of the insect claw as he was finally able to step out of the tear.
And behold, the world ceased to revolve.
A god had stepped into the mortalverse.
Time shifted, Space crumbled, powers became meaningless.
Past, present, and future began to fuse, happening at the same time around this being who existed simultaneously in multiple dimensions.
To call him eldritch would be a serious understatement, or overstatement.
His figure was quite clear and easy to behold.
A large ant.
That’s what it was.
A mixture of black and red exoskeleton adorned its physique with many little hairs on its insect legs.
Its head was incredibly large and it had eight antennae sprouting from the top of the head.
It had six legs, stood on four of them like a centaur, and aligned the remaining front two beside its body as though they were fingerless arms.
Even then, its form was not fully revealed. The tear closed up behind it and although anyone would be able to tell that this was a heavily mutated giant ant, they wouldn’t be able to see all of it.
Not only was it too big, but it was also crushing the space around it with its mere presence. The void was constantly creeping in, eating at its hard exoskeleton in an attempt to send it back to where it came from.
Perhaps this would have worked before when the universe was still stable and the rules were set in stone.
But many times were being dissolved and the rules that prevented the gods from descending to the mortalverse were also being dissolved gradually.
It wasn’t fully removed but it had already gone weak enough for Order to send his strongest clone.
Surely, this commotion would not go unnoticed. The appearance of the Ant God in the mortalverse was going to cause violent ripples that would attract the attention of everyone.
It wasn’t like he cared.
Six beady black eyes stared straight at the distant Outer Hole Galaxy. Those six eyes flashed reflecting the images of two humanoid individuals pulsing with power.
"INSOLENT WORMS!"
The four mandibles of the Ant God slashed in front of him and he moved.
////
"All-King?" Seth said as he opened his eyes wide, staring at the sky.
He saw it, he saw it very clearly.
Before he saw it, he felt it.
He was profoundly shocked. He was stunned. He was absolutely flabbergasted to the extent that he felt the desire to just lie down and give up.
Seth had been close to Supreme Level Immortals a lot. He had even been close to the Primordial Turtle and Tortoise, who were not only Supreme Level Immortals but also Primordials.
But he had never felt this way when he was close to them.
He never felt like just lying down and letting them kill him.
At first, Seth couldn’t understand what he was seeing. With his enhanced eyesight, he could easily pierce through the annoying speed-of-light rule to see things as they were.
He could see what was happening far beyond the Outer Hole Galaxy.
And he could see that space and time had switched places.
As absurd as it sounded, that was the only way he could make sense of what he was seeing.
Time was supposed to be linearly moving through Space.
But over there, Space was moving linearly through time.
This was the kind of groundbreaking physics wizardry that would usually be seen at the center of a black hole.
"Kael!" Seth called out again without taking his eyes off the stunning phenomenon.
Kael was calm, "I’m aware," He said with his nose raised to the sky.
How could he not be aware that what he wanted to do would get their attention?
He had already told Seth right from the beginning that Change was the one who told him all he knew, protecting Reincarnation from any eavesdroppers.
And he had followed that lie to the very end.
"Change knew that this was going to happen. They would not let us free him.
Alas..." Kael smiled ominously.
He put his arms down and freed up his fist.
He stared at the sky, looking at the same exact place Seth was looking at. Kael’s gaze was boldly offensive.
He stared at the godly entity as though he was just a slightly bigger ant.
That was exactly what he was.
How dare he!
And an ant!
Challenge the Majesty of a lion?
Even godhood could not spare him from the scorn of a true king.
"Fuck you!" Kael said to the embodiment of order with eyes glowing brighter and brighter every second.
"INSOLENT WORMS!"
It was then that the entity spoke and made a move.
Clearly, he had heard them.
There was no time.
Not even a second could be spared.
A god was coming after them and it crossed millions of light-years in a single step.
The weight of the god crashed down on the desert moon.
"KAEL!" Seth shouted frantically with fear evident in his voice.
Was this how he was going to die?
Everything moved so slowly in those final moments.
The very tip of those star-sized mandibles was a few kilometers away from them, the ant god filled the entire sky.
The Outer Hole Galaxy stopped moving. Every planet and every yellow star within was violently pulled out of their orbits as they flung toward the Ant God.
Time moved backwards, crashing through the space and the meaning of meaning with force.
And still, with the chaos, the commotion, the panic, and with the possibility of death, Kael stood tall with his shoulders firm and his chin raised.
*CRACK!*
A wound so severe was torn through the universe.
All those unstable energies and laws that had been suppressed within Kael’s body were like a spring that had finally been let loose.
Everything was directed to one point in space and time.
Seth saw a flash of white light followed by darkness.
He could not see Kael or the Ant God again, but he instinctively knew that they were moving incredibly fast.
"Keep it up, we’ll be there in no time!" Kael’s stern voice echoed in Seth’s head just as his vision began to clear up.
That was when Seth understood what was happening.
He was moving very fast. He was falling and rising at the same time.
He was in the Great Gap, the boundaries between the heavenly realms. Seth knew this because he had been in such areas before.
There was no color here, but color filled every possible area he could think of. Everything was stretched to the absolute extreme as they moved faster than speed, light, and space.
"What the fuck!" Seth exclaimed. He wasn’t shocked by the speed at which they were moving through this Gap Tunnel, he was shocked at the speed at which the Gap was being created and the speed at which the Ant God was catching up to them.
Seth immediately transformed into his true form, a moon-sized black and white cat with glowing white eyes.
His tail swiped and his limbs kicked back. Freedom and Foreign Essence surged out of his body, having the tone of his panicked state.
Why wouldn’t he panic?
In front of him, a massive golden lion roared, his voice synchronizing with the slash of his claws.
The All-King moved as the vanguard, having reacted faster than Seth. He slashed and clawed his way through the Great Gap, following the Location he had set as it stood out like a beacon for him.
His golden claws pierced through the Gap, clawing back and ripping a big chunk of it with every slash.
The front claws of Kael moved so fast that it could only be described as a blur. In fact, Kael actively had eight fore limbs sprouting from his shoulders, all of them slashing at the area in front of him with a massive inflow of Freedom and Foreign Essence from Seth.
This was what they had to resort to because Myriad Heaven was heavily locked up.
They couldn’t just appear there, more work needed to be done.
However, below or behind or above them, the Ant God rampaged through the narrow Gap tunnel, screeching furiously as he pursued Seth and Kael.
That was the source of Seth’s primal fear. He was literally being chased by a god through the back end codes of the universe.
To make it worse, every millisecond, the Ant God was getting dangerously close to them.
