Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World

Chapter 921: Samsara

Chapter 921: Samsara

Samsara Heaven.Reincarnation was sitting on her own, thinking to herself.

As usual, she had been sitting on a chair in the middle of an open plain. This time, there was no fable or tea set, just her and her chair rocking back and forth as she continued her job in the background.

All the people and creatures of the universe that died had to pass through her, unless their souls were blasted away and wiped out of existence, they would eventually meet her.

And because of this, she was able to see and experience everything they had seen in their final moments.

It was as horrible as it sounded.

It wasn’t a matter of choice for her, it was something she was a slave to.

Her bondage as well as her strength.

Every single cause of death, she experienced every single one of them. And most times, she was reliving the last moments of these souls millions of times per second.

Whether they died in battle, of torture, of a sickness, of a natural cause, or anything at all that could end their life, she would see it and it would be just as real for her.

She would feel the sadness, the weakness, and she would feel the deep sense of defeat of all those who passed through her.

It was why she tended to look quite sad all the time even when she was smiling. It wasn’t a pretense, the final moments of so many mortals and immortals were being forced into her and there was no way she could reject it.

It was her burden to bear for being the personification of Reincarnation.

What was worse was that she had been experiencing these final moments of different creatures for millions of years.

Her mind and spirit had already solidified into a very deep chasm that could hardly be moved by anything.

Alas, to her, the only way to avoid true death was to become a God, even immortals died.

Wasn’t that the main goal of all creatures in this vast universe of theirs? To survive whatever way they can?

It was painful, it really was. Because at the end of the day, no one ever truly won the game.

Besides the gods, who are not that many, everyone else will eventually die because of something.

Something must kill the beast. If time didn’t kill it, it would kill itself, if it didn’t kill itself, another beast would kill it.

That was the only true grand scheme that everyone feared.

And they feared it for nothing, because they would still die at the end of the day.

What was the point of fighting and striving when it wouldn’t matter at the end of the day?

Even the gods feared death at the end of the day, if they didn’t, they wouldn’t care about all that was happening and wouldn’t be going around making deals and plotting grand schemes.

To Reincarnation, all she felt and had ever felt was a profound state of depression. She was constantly dying inside, constantly managing the transfer of soul from one compatible body to another.

Especially now that the Soul Heaven and Primordial have been taken without anyone’s knowledge by the All-King, Reincarnation was very important.

But even then, Reincarnation asked herself what the point was.

Imagine being born into a world where no matter what you did, no matter how hard you fought, the end must come.

The end was coming, she knew it. So why was she even letting these souls be reincarnated?

She was just reintroducing them into states of perpetual suffering.

To live was to suffer, to die was to rest.

They should rest.

So, why chase suffering with so much conviction?

Right now, she could feel a massive chunk of her power being drawn by that fragmented soul of hers.

This was how Reincarnation knew that the Primordial of Soul had fallen. Her own soul was very powerful and even the Hydra would never have been able to control it, even if he became a god.

But a fragment of her soul was nothing difficult.

And that was what Kael did unfortunately.

Reincarnation could feel everything that her Reincarnation Essence was being used for.

She didn’t hate Kael for what he did, how could she? Reincarnation wasn’t even capable of hatred on a technical level.

All she felt was injustice towards herself and towards Kael.

As she sat there, on her own in the middle of the vast grassy plane, she was surprised to see that the vast amount of Reincarnation Essence hoarded within the body of one of Kael’s clones was being expended very fast.

"Hmm," Reincarnation frowned, blinking her eyes. The whole world around her paused. The wind stopped blowing, her wrinkles trembled.

She looked at what she saw again, wondering if she had been under some illusion spell.

But when she checked the connection again, she was stunned once again.

Through her Reincarnation Essence, the Own Goddess found herself staring at a high-speed chase between Kael, Seth, and Order.

Order!

The Order!

She recognized that ant head with four mandibles anywhere at any time.

What were Kael and Seth doing that they were being chased by him? How were they even managing to keep the distance? What was happening?

The more Reincarnation observed, the more shocked she became. She stood up from her chair, her eyelids trembling.

Samsara Heaven began to operate normally again but there was some kind of hook.

Reincarnation changed her perspective. Because the chase was happening beyond warp speed, by the time she changed the angle of her vision, they had already collided with something.

It was fast.

Her vision blanked and she lost connection because all the Reincarnation Essence in that clone was expended at that very moment.

However, she did manage to get a glimpse of what they had collided with.

A translucent membrane of power and rules.

The last time she had seen that kind of barrier was with Original Heaven.

But no one was going back to Original Heaven at this time and even if they could, Kael would not.

Besides, Origin has already decided to expel all the tenants there. There was no use in using his realm as a prison when the main prisoners had already escaped.

"Hmmm," Reincarnation narrowed her eyes, sorting through her millions of years of memories to cross-reference any other alternative explanation.

And she found one.

Change, Slimes, and Myriad Heaven.

"Oh my..." Reincarnation opened her mouth and didn’t close it.

Change, the Slime God, the mad deity that had to be locked up by the Highest Will. A being who had gotten upset with the perpetual change of everything down to its micro state.

Reincarnation had not been alive during that era but she heard that the Slime God wanted to change everything, including himself and the Highest Will.

He took his role in the universe way too seriously after being exposed to that Other Law.

"How did it come to this?" Reincarnation took a step forward.

The realm space folded around her, instantly transporting this body to another part of Samsara Heaven.

When space and time unfolded again, Reincarnation was in an entirely different biome.

The sky was dark here. There were no stars and no clouds. Just pitch-black darkness.

Reincarnation reached down with her frail elderly hands and grabbed the hems of her garments. She walked ahead quietly, careful not to step on the swampy puddles on the ground.

After walking for a while, Reincarnation came to the end of the swampy road. Her feet had sunk into the mud but she didn’t bother to clean them.

She only stared at the object in front of her.

An object that had existed long before she ascended. She only gained access to it after she became a god.

Hovering in front of her under the dark sky was a golden metallic wheel the width of a small hill.

The wheel had strange carvings etched into the very structure of its surface, looking like the marks had been made the very moment the wheel itself was made.

The origin of this wheel was a mystery. Reincarnation knew that it was probably built by the Monkeys working with the Races from the Master Builder Alliance back then.

As for the exact details of who built it or used it first, she didn’t know. It was irrelevant information.

All that didn’t matter, what mattered was what this wheel was used for.

When the Highest Will sealed Change, his slimes had to be killed off but they also had to be prevented from being revived by Change himself.

This wheel had been used to keep the souls of all slimes in a state of limbo. Neither dead, nor alive.

Because of this wheel, the Slime God would never have access to any soul so that he could create more slimes.

And because of this wheel, no slime was ever accidentally formed outside Myriad Heaven.

And Change could not create if he did not have materials.

Reincarnation had always wondered what to do with this wheel...

Until today.

The Highest Will had explicitly told her to leave it alone when she had found it.

Looking back, she was so obedient back then, Reincarnation laughed at herself.

Letting go of her garments with a newfound resolve to help the All-King all the way.

Not for him, but to stop the Highest Will.

She raised her hand, watching it turn into the wing of a brown owl.

Half of all the Reincarnation Essence she had, enough to easily crush any heavenly realm into a little ball, was concentrated into this right wing.

That was the amount of energy needed to break this kind of godly artifact.

Checking herself and ensuring that all her insurances were in the right place, Reincarnation slashed out.
