Chapter 918: Clone Connection Node
Chapter 918: Clone Connection Node
Kael took a gentle step away from Seth, his eyes glowing mysteriously with the combined power of different laws. The sand beneath his feet began to shift, the grains rolled and circled around his legs, floating into the air as Kael raised his hands.
"I have located the exact location of Myriad Heaven, I shall chart the path with myself and you will support me with your Freedom Essence," Kael said as he looked up.
His face became stoic and unflinching as he rose into the sky.
It was time to get absolutely serious.
Seth nodded and brought his hands to his front to rub them together.
Freedom Essence began to gather in his palm.
At the same time, he connected himself to his backup.
Normally, Seth was far more adept at the use of Freedom Essence than Kael. So even if Kael had sensed very complex workings from Seth, he wouldn’t have flinched.
It would be an expected level of activity given Seth’s experience and power level.
But Kael had to look down in very genuine shock when he sensed a very different type of aura from Seth.
When Seth gathered the dense mass of power at the center of his palms, it wasn’t just Freedom Essence that showed up.
The white glow of his eyes became significantly more menacing and his shoulders dropped. Seth’s facial expression became much colder and Kael could literally see the change in his eyes.
That power. It flowed out of Seth, no, it flowed from somewhere else entirely. Kael could sense it.
It appeared as if it was coming directly from Seth’s body but it wasn’t. It was actually coming from some kind of clone connection node within him.
Kael tilted his head, curious.
He took a sniff, using the Law of Observation mildly.
For a brief moment, Kael’s senses pierced through Seth’s physical body, directly observing all that was happening within.
Even then, Kael was not satisfied with what he saw so he mixed in a few more Laws and decided to look deeper.
His senses carelessly bashed through the connection node, immediately seeing what was on the other side.
Kael was half expecting some kind of mutated clone that was harvesting a variant type of Freedom Essence.
What he saw was much more shocking.
Chen.
A massive white tiger with black stripes, sitting quietly in a dark empty room.
Kael recognized this person very well.
Wasn’t this the same tiger that had championed the Tiger Race’s alliance to Ma’abu and the Anti Primordial Coalition?
The same vengeful tiger that had silently allowed Ibadon to kill his race’s Primordial all for the sake of his personal ambition.
A very dangerous foe. Kael had never forgotten about him. But because he hardly heard about the white tiger for some time, he naturally stopped putting it as a high-priority enemy.
Especially with how no one really talked about the tiger, it was pointless to try searching for him constantly.
Kael was truly shocked to find Chen on the other side of a connection node that was supposed to lead to a clone.
Kael had those connection nodes too so he knew how they worked. His own connection nodes were much stronger than Seth’s because Kael’s clones no longer comprised just Freedom Essence.
Many other laws allowed him to create clones and Kael had already combined them into a singular superior technique.
The point was that on the other side of such connection nodes, there was only meant to be another clone.
Unless the original body had some kind of shape-shifting technique, then the clone should look exactly like the original.
But Seth did not have any shape-shifting ability linked to the Law of Freedom, not that Kael knew any of them.
That could only mean that the person on the other side of Seth’s unique connection node within his body was the real Chen.
But how...
Before Kael could see further what was happening, the large white tiger suddenly shifted its bright green gaze at Kael’s ethereal gaze, seemingly looking straight at him.
Kael’s gaze was pulled back immediately and he saw Seth looking at him coldly.
"All-King, please focus on yourself," Seth said with a threatening tone. He had truly undergone some changes as he seemed way more threatening and guarded than before.
Kael raised an eyebrow. To say that he was not very interested in what was going on right now would be a very big lie.
He wanted to know what Chen was doing on the other side of Seth’s clone connection node and why it was a source of a strange power.
After thinking about it, Kael decided that attacking Seth now was not part of his immediate plans and it could cause some completely avoidable variables.
So, he decided to let it go for now.
But not fully, one corner of his mind was already charting up some plans, reevaluating Seth’s true personal strength and preparing for him.
Kael’s gaze focused again and he returned to what he was doing, forcefully opening a gate to the sealed heavenly realm.
Seth on the other hand now had a deeply worried expression after Kael looked away.
Kael had seen Chen, he was sure of it. He was shocked that Kael could even look through a connection node so easily.
Now that the All-King knew, he was definitely going to be interested. Just because he didn’t make any moves or ask any questions now didn’t mean he was going to forget it.
Seth knew that that was a serious sign of something very violent being planned for him in the future.
Shaking the thought from his head, Seth found solace in his power level.
Even if something were to happen, he and Kael were not necessarily on the same level again. He was a High Level Immortal now.
The gap between Mid Level and Low Level was vastly different from the gap between Mid Level and High Level.
At the end of the day, the most important thing right now was freeing the sealed mad god of slimes.
Change.
Unfortunately for these unwilling allies, a certain god of ants was not going to let them have their way.
