Chapter 39: Prelude to a War

The sounds of laughter filled the entire throne hall of the God King of the Greco Realm.

The Titans all gathered together as they held a feast to celebrate the years Chronos has ruled them.

The Titans also known as the children of the Primal gods, Gaia and Ouranos alongside their children sat close to the God King, Chronos as they watch the lesser gods present gifts to Chronos who took what he likes and discards what he view as garbage.

Among these lesser gods, was an old man with white hairs and frail body.

With his frail and sickly mountain, he climbed up the mountain of Othrys shocking his onlookers as he was very determined to meet the God King today as times like these are rare.

Mt. Othrys, is where the God King resides and also the most scared places in the entirety of the Greco Realm where Only the Primal gods can visit anytime they like but other than them, anyone who trespasses into Othrys without prior notice or being summoned by the God King is as good as dead as soon as they are sighted.

So today when all the restrictions on the Mountain is lifted, everyone wants to come see what this places is all about and also pay their respect to their King.

After strenuous hours of climbing to the mount of Othrys, the frail old man finally got to the peak of the mountain where the Palace of the God king is.

He was directed to the palace by the guards where he could the Titans and their family looking at lesser gods like him with disdain which he did not mind as he believed that those with greater power gets to make the decisions or dictate your life.

He waited for his turn to speak face to face with the God King as they were so many lesser gods ahead of him who wanted the same thing.

After an hour of waiting, it finally got to his turn. He moved forward coming face to face with the God King who towered over him, he was like an ant in the presence of the man.

He came out of his daze and cleared his throat before he looking upward "greetings, great God King of the Greco Realm, my name is Haeus Arisis, one of your loyal subjects, it is an honour for me to be able to see you and step foot on your home. So to show my appreciation, I brought this special wine, specially made by the wood nymphs, it contains the essence of life blessed by the Mother Earth.

Costs me my entire fortune to be able to acquire this bottle so that my Lord could be able to have a sip of this legendary wine" the man said as he presented a bottle of wine to Chronos.

Chronos observed the frail man before him and the wine he came with but he found nothing suspicion and even felt the aura of his mother from the wine confirming the word of the man.

He took the wine from him and opened it, taking a little sniff from it. When he did that, he felt as if a whole new world has been opened to him, he felt very powerful, he felt full of life.

"Argh, Arrrggghhh"

The scream of Chronos drew everyone attention back at him where they saw Rhea stabbing him with a dagger.

Everyone was confused by the series of event going on one after the other. They were not even done digesting what happened previously but another one rises.

Haeus approached the disoriented adults that were just vomited out of the stomach of Chronos as he transformed into a very tall man like 8ft tall and muscular. His clear blue eyes that had arches of electricity dancing inside them.

He is Zeus, the last of the children of Chronos. He helped his siblings up "this is no time to be in daze, right now, we are in the enemy’s territory, so we should get out of here very quickly" he said as they complied, using every last ounce of strength they could muster and started making their way out of the mountain.

But things did not go as plan as the other titans and their children blocked their escape route.

"Now what"

One of the female sibling asked her supposedly brother what’s the way forward.

Zeus sighed when seeing this but good thing they had Metis and Themis on their side.

Out of nowhere, a burst of light shone causing the Titans to be momentarily dazed and giving Zeus and his siblings chance to escape.

"This way"

The siblings saw Metis with another Titan, one of the children of Themis, Epimetheus calling out to them.

Zeus and his siblings immediately went to them and together they made their way towards the edge of the mountain where Rhea, Themis, Mnemosyne, and Prometheus another child of Themis who caused that blinding explosion temporarily blinding the Titans making it easier for them to escape.

Seeing all her children together, Rhea could not be any more happy as she ran to hug her six children together crying as she has finally been reunited with them after so many years.

"Come on, sister, we don’t have the all day, we have to move before they arrive" said Themis who didn’t want to spoil the happy moment in her sister’s life but now its not the time for it as they were still in enemy’s territory.

Rhea released her children from her grasp and cleared her face "let’s go"@@@@
