Chapter 402: You Really Know How to Live
Chapter 402: You Really Know How to Live
The Distortion World.Lin Feng had brought two barrels of honey wine and a huge pile of liquor-filled chocolates. Giratina barely hesitated before nodding.
(Approved.)
"That's great! Thank you so much, Giratina. You truly are the greatest Lord of Reversal!"
Surrounded by flattery and delicious food, Giratina immediately felt pleased with itself. Its crimson eyes narrowed as it stared at the tiny human in front of it.
Someone had bullied his Pokémon?
Unacceptable.
This human brought it food and drink. Bullying him was the same as bullying it.
In an instant, Giratina's expression darkened.
A terrifying aura unique to the ruler of the Distortion World spread through the entire dimension. The surrounding currents twisted violently, trembling under the pressure.
(Tell me where they are. I will erase every last one of them.)
The telepathic voice echoed inside Lin Feng's mind. The icy killing intent nearly made him stiffen on the spot.
He hurriedly waved his hands.
"Not yet, not yet. Right now, I only need your help opening a path for us. As for fighting back, we can handle that ourselves."
Then, worried that his words might hurt Giratina's pride, he quickly added:
"If something really goes wrong, I'll definitely ask for your help. After all, the strongest and greatest always appear at the very end!"
That sentence immediately softened the oppressive aura around Giratina.
(Acceptable!)
"Then I'll leave it to you~"
Lin Feng set down the chocolate liquor and stepped back through the reflective surface, returning to the real world.
Back in the Distortion World, Giratina quietly stared at the pile of liquor chocolates after Lin Feng disappeared. Slowly, the corners of its mouth curled upward.
It, Giratina, was the strongest.
Of course it would be saved for the final entrance.
…
The moment he returned to reality, Lin Feng let out a long breath.
After spending time with Giratina these past few days, he had started to think it was actually a very gentle dragon.
But what he had just witnessed completely overturned that impression.
It wasn't gentle by nature at all. Once angered, it became frighteningly ferocious.
"Gardevoir?"
(Did it agree?)
Gardevoir had been guarding the entrance to the Distortion World. Seeing Lin Feng emerge, it immediately stepped forward to ask.
"Yep, it agreed~" Lin Feng nodded.
Gardevoir visibly relaxed.
"Gardevoir~"
(Then next is Mewtwo?)
"Exactly."
Lin Feng excitedly pulled out his phone and immediately called Mewtwo.
Thinking about it carefully, it had already been quite a long time since he last saw Mewtwo.
He wondered what opponents it had challenged during its journey. Had it surpassed its previous limits? Had it learned Mega Evolution yet?
But when he called, nobody answered.
Maybe Rotom wasn't with it right now?
Lin Feng did not think too deeply about it. With Mewtwo's strength, it could travel anywhere in the world. It was perfectly normal for it to be somewhere without signal coverage.
So after greeting Gardevoir, he turned his attention to another matter.
Announcing that the ranch would be closed on weekends.
It was simple enough. He just had Rotom upload a short video explaining that they would be taking two days off every weekend.
But not long after the video went up, the comments section exploded.
"What?! Closed on weekends? You've got to be kidding me!"
"No, Lin! Two whole days?! Do you know how miserable my family will be without your food for an entire weekend?!"
"I know you work hard, but what does that have to do with us? Who approved your vacation? Denied!"
Request rejected…
Lin Feng only laughed after reading the flood of comments and continued walking.
"What a shame. I should've mentioned this to Mew last time it came back."
He felt slightly regretful.
Mew had left too quickly that day. He never got the chance to discuss the matter with it.
Still, with Mewtwo, Gardevoir, and Giratina on their side, he felt there should not be any unexpected problems.
Even so, he still needed to prepare thoroughly.
Thinking carefully, Team Rocket had four executives, right?
Athena, Apollo… and who else?
Lin Feng's head started hurting.
It had been eighteen years since he last watched the anime or played the games. He could barely remember the organization's members anymore.
The ones he remembered most clearly were the famous duo trio, Blaine from Cinnabar Island who participated in Mewtwo's creation, Giovanni…
And someone called the Iron-Masked Marauder?
That guy had once used a strange Poké Ball to capture Celebi, then used Celebi's power over the forest to transform it into a gigantic monster that gave Ash a lot of trouble.
What was that Poké Ball called again?
Lin Feng frowned.
That thing was dangerous.
After all, it had controlled Tyranitar before later controlling Celebi as well.
He definitely needed to stay cautious.
He just did not know how it differed from the Dark Balls developed by Mewtwo.
"And there's also the location problem… though Mewtwo probably knows already?"
Lin Feng thought for a moment.
There was no point overthinking it here.
When the time came, he could simply investigate nearby himself.
After making up his mind, he stopped dwelling on it and waited for Mewtwo's response.
About ten minutes later, Mewtwo finally called back.
This time, it appeared to be inside a hotel room, wearing the appearance of a pink-haired teenage boy.
Honestly, the human form it created was ridiculously handsome. Pale skin, sharp facial features, and the kind of appearance that looked like it had stepped straight out of an anime.
"Only slightly less handsome than me," Lin Feng muttered.
But after taking another careful look, he sighed.
Fine.
Mewtwo was way more handsome than him.
"Hey, Mewtwo. Where are you right now?"
Rather than jumping straight into business, Lin Feng first wanted to hear about Mewtwo's travels.
"Humans call this place Wind City. According to legend, the Sea God Lugia descends here at a certain time and grants the blessing of the wind."
The goal was obvious.
This time, Mewtwo had come to challenge Lugia.
On the other side of the screen, the pink-haired boy sat quietly in the room, calmly watching the information displayed on Rotom's monitor.
Then Lin Feng suddenly noticed something important.
"Wait a second. You're staying in a hotel, right? That costs money. Where did you get the money from?"
When Mewtwo left, Lin Feng had prepared plenty of food for it.
But now that he thought about it, he realized he had completely forgotten to give it money.
"I earned it by battling trainers I encountered on the road."
Mewtwo's tone remained calm as ever.
"You caught Pokémon too?" Lin Feng asked in surprise.
"No. I used illusion techniques on myself and personally entered the matches."
"Huh?"
Lin Feng's brain froze for a second.
He immediately imagined some random trainer enthusiastically running up to challenge Mewtwo, only for the battle to end before it even began because their eyes glazed over the moment they made eye contact.
The image was so absurd that Lin Feng could not help laughing.
"You really know how to live."
