Fortunately, the hotel cleans the room thoroughly every day; otherwise, if Jennifer had come in today and seen such a scene, her image would have been completely ruined. Xuexi sat at the table, cupping her pink cheeks in her hands, thinking with great relief.
She had just seen off Jennifer Susan Walters, the lawyer known as the "She-Hulk," who had come all the way from New York to help her with her case regarding "three consecutive accidents at her concert."
Jennifer told her that she had won the case through physical means, but she would be unable to hold concerts or any large-scale stage performances for some time.
This left her incredibly bored, and having tasted the sweetness of it all, she immediately thought of calling Connors.
The moment I took out my phone, before I could even dial a number, the screen went static, and the voice saying "You are not alone" came through.
Meanwhile, Connors, who was in the abandoned warehouse, also built a deck chair out of plants and sat on it.
Watching the snowflakes in the monitor gradually turn into a blurry face.
"I am General Zod."
"I come from a distant planet, and I have traveled across the sea of stars to get here."
"For some time now, your world has sheltered one of my people."
"I demand that you return it to me."
"For some reason, he chose to keep his identity a secret from you. He will try his best to blend in with you. He will look like you, but he does not belong to you."
".....%*¥#"
Connors didn't listen to the rambling afterward, since he could practically recite the lines by heart.
Harley Quinn, on the other hand, was whispering to "Catwoman" Selena Gomez, clearly plotting how big the spaceship was and how to steal it.
Poison Ivy looked around and, seeing that no one was paying attention to her, walked over to Connors. "I can tell that the little starlet misses you—shall we go take care of some business, the three of us together?"
Connors asked in a low voice:
"What?! Oh, the green of all things can be used like this?"
"Poison Ivy" Ivy nodded. She had indeed sensed Xuexi's condition, which had been infected by her toxins the day before, through the Green of All Things.
Ivy, the "Poison Ivy" from before, didn't understand what this feeling was like, but after she was deflowered, she finally understood.
I remember that "Poison Ivy" Ivy was originally just a shy female college student. Did chlorophyll change her personality along with her appearance? Connors looked at "Poison Ivy" Ivy, who was leaning down with an expectant look, and asked in a puzzled tone:
"I haven't tried it with three people yet, have you?"
"Before you, I hadn't tried anyone, and they wouldn't have been able to arouse my interest." Ivy's words reassured Connors.
But General Zod is still giving a speech on the screen right now; this is not the time for such things.
"Not now. I have to take Selena to the Metropolis tonight and kidnap this alien spaceship."
Ivy asked in confusion, "Isn't it Selena who's supposed to be kidnapped?"
Connors reached out and pinched the red-haired woman's chin:
"What are you saying!"
He immediately prepared to invite Selena to go to the Metropolis, but when he looked up, he found that Selena and Harley, who had been whispering just moments before, were now listening intently to him.
Harley Quinn nervously wiggled her hips and hid behind Poison Ivy, while Catwoman Selena was so stiff she seemed like a robot, not knowing what Harley had said.
Connors wasn't particularly interested in prying into the little secrets between the two girls.
"Harley, Ivy, you two stay in Gotham and make sure you protect yourselves in the Gotham Forest. I'm taking Selena to Metropolis."
"Huh?" Harley Quinn didn't understand why she was only taking Selena with her.
"It's inconvenient with so many people," Connors casually explained.
Harley Quinn looked like she suddenly understood something, while Selena Gomez, who played Catwoman, almost forgot how to walk.
"I'll drive the supercar faster. Ivy, you take that taxi down from the tree and drive it back," Connors instructed, then turned and left.
Harley Quinn skipped along, Catwoman Selena regained her agile gait, while Poison Ivy remained as elegant as an older sister.
"Karl El, surrender within 24 hours—"
"Or let the whole world bear the consequences."
General Zod's intermittent speech continued until Connors and his entourage left the warehouse.
In the abandoned warehouse, Bain stared at the monitor screen with red eyes, his brain struggling to process what General Zod had said, so much so that he didn't even try to stop Connors.
The scarecrow was still twitching on the ground. His ordinary body couldn't withstand Bane's enhanced toxins, and his eyes were already starting to roll back.
As for the Riddler, he already had three or four pages filled with various formulas written in front of him.
A great mathematician is about to be born! Connors glanced back at the warehouse. Right, why bother outsmarting Batman with this kind of brain? Wouldn't it be better to prove a theory and have the whole world praise you for being awesome?
He stepped on the gas, turned on the navigation system, and sped towards the metropolis. "Catwoman" Selena sat in the passenger seat, for the first time having no plan for her theft target.
But the challenge that came with it made it impossible for Selena to back down. After all, it was an alien spaceship, and there was probably only one on Earth. It was far more valuable than a collectible art painting!
Connors, of course, had no idea that "Catwoman" Selena sitting next to him was thinking about things in such a complicated way. Stealing an alien spaceship was nothing difficult for him, given his "Master Pilot" ability.
In other words, General Zod arrived much earlier than expected; he hadn't yet developed the strength to rival Superman.
Otherwise, this operation would be even simpler.
After the system upgrade, Connors is already looking forward to what kind of reward he'll receive for sharing this world-destroying gossip.
"Young Master Wayne, I think you should come out now."
Sitting in his cage, Batman, dressed in his Batsuit, listened to Alfred's voice on the walkie-talkie and asked in confusion:
"I also plan to pretend to surrender and wait until Scarecrow and Bane can't help but start making their move before going out."
I even brought out the Batmobile for that.
“Compared to that, you should be more concerned about a creature from Krypton,” Alfred said. “He calls himself General Zod and says that one of his companions is hiding on Earth.”
"That's not my responsibility," Batman said.
"However, Master Wayne, according to Zod's description, is a mysterious and potentially powerful individual. And while he was broadcasting globally, I discovered that Master Paterson was driving to Metropolis."
"—That guy might be a Kryptonian?" Batman thought, increasingly uneasy. "Alfred, help me start a new project called 'Anti-Connors Armor.'"
In the supercar, Connors hummed a tune softly, noticing Selena Gomez, the "Catwoman," beside him, hesitated before saying:
"What's wrong? Are you worried about encountering danger?"
Encased in a tight-fitting bodysuit, Selena curled up in the seat like a black cat, her delicate red lips slightly pursed below her pert nose.
"No, that's not it," she said through gritted teeth, voicing her doubts. "Harley said you took me away alone because you wanted to have sex with me from behind."
Connors: "???"
"Harley says this is your favorite pose."
"I'd like to ask, what does this mean?"
Harley, what exactly did you say to "Catwoman" Selena?
Connors looked at Selena, who was sitting in the passenger seat, asking absurd questions with a straight face, and answered with the same words Ivy had used before:
"You can't say it, you can only do it."
