Chapter 371 The Saintess
Chapter 371 The Saintess
Chapter 371 The Saintess
Connors' "healing magic" comes from a melon-eating reward and is quite different from those on the market. Its characteristic is that it can transfer all the negative statuses on the target to its own body, thereby achieving the purpose of healing the target.
Thus, the effects of Kryptonite on "Supergirl" Kara manifested in Connors, while Kara herself returned to her energetic self.
Kara initially didn't know what was happening, but with her superhuman sense of smell restored, she caught a whiff of blood. When she turned to look at Connors, she saw Lucy nod at her, confirming her suspicions.
Kara felt a sudden, inexplicable pain in her heart, followed by an overwhelming surge of anger. With a roar, she charged at Amarak, her fists pounding into his chest.
puff!
Amarak wasn't knocked away; instead, his body remained in place, with only a large, round hole appearing in his chest.
Amarak was stunned; he stared at the "Supergirl" in disbelief.
The reason he was able to boast about killing Kara was because of the specially crafted kryptonite weapon in his hand. It was originally made for the legendary "Superman", but it could be used on "Supergirl" Kara as well.
But he didn't expect that the kryptonite weapon would inexplicably stop working.
Kara, the "Supergirl," was also somewhat bewildered. She had never imagined that Amalak's only weapon against her was a kryptonite weapon.
Their own strength, however, was as weak as paper.
"Meow Meow"
Kara pulled out her fist, and Amarak, his chest ripped open, collapsed to the ground, coughing up blood, trying to say something but unable to utter a word.
"Hand over all your weapons, and then you can leave."
Kara shook the blood off her hands and spoke to the ruddy-skinned men who had come with Amarak.
But to everyone's surprise, they did not listen to the advice. Instead, they slowly backed away, their faces showing a mixture of fear and anticipation.
"Super Girl" Kara frowned as she watched them slowly retreat, wondering what they were up to.
Connors looked at the group of people with a puzzled expression.
"ah!!"
A bloodcurdling scream rang out. Amarak, his chest riddled with holes, was drenched in sweat and trembling uncontrollably. In his hands he held a golden flower-shaped object, its petals forming a grotesque face. Amarak pressed the object against his chest with both hands.
Another scream rang out as "Supergirl" Kara watched as Amalak's body gradually dried up, his facial features twisting into the grotesque shape of that golden petal.
The bizarre scene made Kara involuntarily take a few steps back.
"What a pity. I was hoping to sell this for a good price, but now I can only use it on myself."
Amarak's voice was tinged with regret as his black curly hair began to fall out, along with his eyebrows and other hairs, sparsely falling to the ground.
His hands gradually withered, turning into sharp shapes resembling stacked flower petals.
Amarak stood up from the ground, the large hole in his chest now plugged by golden ghost-face flowers, making him look as if he had never been injured.
With a few whooshing sounds, the petals in Amalak's hand burst open and flew out like arrows toward "Supergirl" Kara.
Behind Kara were Connors and Lucy. Instead of dodging, she casually raised her hand and caught the "petals." After discovering that they were made of keratin, she tossed them to the ground.
She failed to discard these things; instead, she found that these "petals" gripped her palms as if they were alive.
A sharp pain shot through her hand, and Kara couldn't help but let out the same scream as Amalak.
Amalak charged forward, laughing maniacally.
"Scream! You scourge of Krypton!"
"This is the most bizarre virus in the universe. Any living thing that comes into contact with it will be firmly bound to it. It will give you great power, but it will also make you suffer excruciating pain every moment!"
Amarak raised his hands, and the ends of his arms were no longer palms, but had completely transformed into "petals," which he intended to pierce into the body of "Supergirl" Kara.
Pfft!
Kara's abdomen was pierced by Amarak's hands, and the excruciating pain made her scream again, her eyes shooting out heat rays indiscriminately.
Amarak grinned wildly, then lowered his head and nudged Kara's chin, causing her head to tilt uncontrollably upwards, her heat rays shooting entirely into the sky.
"I swore I would make the Kryptonians pay the price, no matter what. This was originally intended for their extinction, but who told your planet to disappear so quickly?"
"You will bear all the unbearable pain they experience!"
Amarak appeared to be insane, blood streaming from the corner of his mouth, as he screamed and mocked Kara.
Lucy, hiding behind Connors, felt a pang of heartache watching. Her clothes were soaked with Connors' blood, while Kara in front of her was also seriously injured.
With a determined look, Lucyya let go of Connors's hand and rushed out on her own.
She had to help Kara pull the sharp petal arm that was stuck in her abdomen out.
"Lucy! Don't come any closer!"
Kara hurriedly tried to stop him, and Connors quickly grabbed Lucy, refusing to let go no matter how much she struggled.
"Under the effect of the 'healing magic,' Kara's injuries should be transferred to me, and I should recover quickly. What's going on now?"
Connors frowned as he looked at his arm, which was still injured and showed no signs of healing.
He sensed that this was related to the golden ghost-faced flower that Amarak had taken out, and just as he was about to step forward, "Supergirl" Cara suddenly let out a miserable laugh.
Amidst intermittent laughter, Kara gripped Amarak's arms tightly with both hands and slowly pulled them out of his abdomen.
"Who do you think I am?" Kara grinned, her expression twisted, and gritted her teeth. "I'm 'Supergirl,' do you know how much 'Super' means?"
She pulled Amarak's arms off completely, then reached out and grabbed his neck:
"Tell me how to remove this from my body?"
"You think you're safe just because you're 'Supergirl'? Hahaha." Amalak, his neck being gripped, laughed in imitation of Kara. "It's useless. Once this thing is released, nothing can stop it until this planet is completely destroyed!"
Kara loosened her grip on Amarak's neck slightly, and she turned her head blankly to look around.
This planet is Lucy's home, inhabited by countless people like Lucy. Kara knows she can't let the planet fall.
So she turned to Connors for help.
Without further hesitation, Connors retrieved the Mother Box from the Mysterious House and opened the "Explosion Channel".
A dazzling burst of light appeared out of nowhere, engulfing Amarak and his men, along with Connors and Kara.
The place, which had just been filled with maniacal laughter and screams, suddenly fell silent. Lucy stood there blankly, her clothes still dripping with Connors' blood.
She didn't know where the group had gone, nor how to get back to her home on the other side of the planet, so she could only stand there motionless.
But slowly, a large crowd gathered around. Among them were men, women, the old and the young. They knelt down before Lucy, who was standing still, and chanted words like "Saintess".
Lucy looked down at her hands, then looked up at the yellow sun.
She knew that these people regarded Connors and "Supergirl" Kara as gods, and that she, who had always been under their protection, had become the spokesperson for the "gods".
"The king is dead. I will establish a new country and erect statues for them—" Lucy secretly made up her mind.
