Chapter 283 Blank Castle
Chapter 283 Blank Castle
Chapter 283 Blank Castle
"This should be the castle where 'Speed' from the 'Justice Society's' location was provided, right?"
Connors looked down curiously at the ancient castle below, which had clearly been abandoned for many years; almost half of its walls had collapsed.
The remaining part that hadn't collapsed was also overgrown with weeds.
Whether there was any trace of "The Witch" Morgan le Fay inside is unknown, but Connors immediately spotted a bear rubbing against the castle wall.
"I'll go down and investigate." The "Lord Hunter" volunteered. "No, I'll go."
"Lord Eagle Girl" reached out to stop "Lord Hunter," and then jumped out of the cockpit opened by "Lord Bat."
While in the air, the eagle woman flapped her wings and hovered in mid-air, raising her Demon-Slaying Hammer high with both hands.
As dark clouds gathered in the sky, streaks of lightning converged on the Demon-Slaying Hammer, and a thick bolt of lightning was thus collected and unleashed by the "Lord Eagle Girl".
The lightning charred half of the bear's body, and it lay convulsing on the ground. The already dilapidated castle collapsed completely, and the plants that grew on the castle burst into flames.
Less than a minute later, "Lord Eagle Girl" flew back into the fighter jet as if nothing had happened and said to everyone:
"Morgan Lefève is not down there."
The others in "The Lord of Justice" breathed a sigh of relief, but then began to worry about Morgan le Fay's whereabouts.
Only "Lord Bat" was dumbfounded. He turned around from the driver's seat, looking at him with a disappointed expression:
"I didn't even have time to take a picture of the castle and send it to Alfred before you destroyed it?"
"Lord Eagle Girl" now finds Batman a bit baffling:
"Morgan Lefève isn't here, so why are you taking pictures?"
"Lord Bat" sighed silently, no longer looking at "Lord Eagle Maiden," but instead turning his gaze to Connors:
"Use your amazing abilities to draw what this castle originally looked like. I know you can do it."
Connors was marveling at the "Lord Eagle Girl's" swift and decisive actions when he never expected that he would have something to do with himself at this moment.
With "precise control" combined with "human limits," even though Connors had never studied painting, he was able to accurately recreate the appearance of the castle with his brush.
But he didn't do that. Instead, he snapped his fingers: *snap*!
"Alright, you can take the picture now," Connors said.
A series of clattering sounds came from the ancient castle below, and everyone in the "Lord of Justice" except for the "Lord Hunter" looked down.
The ancient castle, which had been destroyed by a bolt of lightning from the "Lord Eagle Girl," miraculously reappeared. Apart from the charred bear body still lying on the ground, everything else looked the same as before.
"Give me enough time, and I can restore the castle to its original state—"
"Lord Superman" stroked his chin thoughtfully.
"Use your 'super speed' and 'super strength' to move bricks?" Connors asked doubtfully.
"Lord Superman" gave an awkward smile, without denying Connors's statement.
"Lord Bat" glanced at the two of them, silently took a picture of the castle, and sent it to Alfred, the butler of Earth Zero.
Soon, news came from Alfred:
"Young Master Wayne, this castle is called 'Blank Castle.' It was discovered by a reconnaissance team shortly after World War II, and two members of that team are still alive today: Henry Moss and Haf Hiccman."
"What's so special about this Blanc Castle?" the Lady Knight asked from the side.
"Miss Prince, according to the information I have consulted, this castle once appeared in the 'Legend of King Arthur,' but I need to take some time to find out whether the story came first or the castle came first."
Alfred said slowly and deliberately.
The "Lord's Woman" shook her head, pulled the Vulcan Greatsword and shield from her magic pocket, and assumed a fighting stance:
"There's no need for that. Even if this Blanc Castle has nothing to do with Morgan le Fay, there's a high chance it will have some connection with the Philosopher's Stone."
"Alfred, help us find out the specific information about those two WWII veterans. One of them definitely possesses..."
The Philosopher's Stone.
"One of them must possess the Philosopher's Stone."
Meanwhile, somewhere on Earth, inside a medieval museum, Morgan Lefebvre spoke to his son Mordred.
"Mom, I swear I won't lose the Philosopher's Stone again this time." Mordred's voice came from inside her metal helmet as she wore a medieval plate armor set from the museum.
"We'll talk about this after we find the Philosopher's Stone. Come with me," Morgan le Fay said.
She was wearing the same golden mask as in her dream, but her long dress was still the same deep purple medieval gown she had worn before, with a cinched waist and a strapless bodice that perfectly accentuated her figure.
After speaking, Morgan le Fay waved his hand and cast a pinkish-purple spell, disappearing from the spot along with his son.
They didn't go too far; instead, they remained in the same spot and entered the dream.
"Pray for me, son, that someone is sleeping near Henry Moss and Haf Hickman at this moment."
Morgan Lefebvre's voice sounded hazy and mysterious in the dream.
Morgan le Fay's slender, pale fingers traced magical curves in the air. His eyes suddenly lit up, and he reached out and grabbed at the air.
A figure gradually materialized from nothingness in Morgan le Fay's palm, being choked by her neck.
"Tell me where you are right now," Morgan Lefebvre said in an icy voice.
This guy, clearly still asleep and unaware of what was happening, vaguely told me his location:
Having received the answer he wanted on Colby Street in Maine, Morgan Lefebvre nodded in satisfaction, casually tossed the man to the ground, and then returned to reality with Mordred.
"Colby Street, Maine," Morgan Lefebvre repeated the location the man had just described, as pink and purple magic propelled her and Mordred's figures slowly into the sky.
In a dimly lit apartment on Colby Street in Maine, a punk suddenly wakes up from a dream and instinctively clutches his throat:
"I think I just had a nightmare."
The events in my dream became blurry upon waking, except for the hazy pinkish-purple light that remained vivid in my memory.
But it was just a dream after all, and the punk youth quickly put it out of his mind. He muttered a few words, got out of bed, and drew back the curtains, planning to go to the refrigerator later to get a bottle of chilled beer to cool off.
As the curtains were drawn back, the bright sunshine outside made him instinctively shield his eyes. As his eyes adjusted to the light, he was astonished to find that the pinkish-purple light from his dream enveloped the sky.
