Chapter 129 The Great Magician
Chapter 129 The Great Magician
Chapter 129 The Great Magician
"You are not a great magician."
Despite being a mere apprentice magician who only knew two spells, "Healing Magic" and "Reversal Magic," Connors forcefully confronted Zatanna, a great mage of the magic world.
"Why? I just helped you solve the problem with the Mysterious House," Zatanna said breathlessly.
"You're missing a prefix. You're Harry Potter, the great wizard," Connors corrected.
The interior of the mysterious house can change according to Connors's will; at this moment, a large floor-to-ceiling mirror stands in front of the two of them.
The regret that Connors couldn't create a mirror to watch the giant waves on the edge of Gotham Forest is made up for here.
Zatanna, her hands resting on the mirror, asked breathlessly:
"I can use magic to make them bigger."
"There's absolutely no need for that."
Connors stopped Zatanna from having the idea.
A true man can bend and stretch. Connors did not continue indefinitely. After Zatanna experienced her third bliss, he decisively announced that her elementary school graduation project was a complete success.
"Pandora has gone to find Luthor. You just need to take Wonder Woman and the others and keep watch in the Metropolitan prison."
Connors said, lighting a cigarette, while Zatanna washed herself in the makeshift shower, making sure she didn't leave any scent on her body.
She could use magic to eliminate the smell, but magic wasn't as refreshing as a hot bath.
As for the fingerprints and slap marks on the body, they cannot disappear in a short time. They cannot be removed by taking a bath; only magic can do it.
"You're plotting something big, aren't you?" Zatanna said as she stepped out of the shower, wrapped in a bath towel.
"Yes, it's a momentous event," Connors replied readily.
"If you need my magic to save you, you can quickly tap the ring three times to call for me," Zatanna said. "I don't want to wake up one day and find you gone."
Connors glanced at his "JS" ring, smiled, and nodded.
Whether he needs Zatanna's help is another matter, but based on her words alone, he will not abandon her after the major event is over.
Connors, on the contrary, was somewhat looking forward to it. The two Zatannas looked alike, but one was young and innocent, while the other was still charming. He wondered what it would feel like to have the two of them together.
Similarly, there were two Catwomen and two Wonder Women. "Mr. Luther, what are you looking at?" the female lawyer asked in confusion.
She walked over to Lex Luthor, her gaze catching the large, bold headline on the newspaper through her glasses:
"Superman charged with manslaughter, new member of Justice League dies."
Lex Luthor seemed to block out the outside world, looking at the newspaper and muttering to himself.
"They say I'm a bad person, as easily as people define day and night."
"I think only in this way can those simple-minded guys be sure of themselves and understand how the world works."
"They categorize everything as good and evil, just like little children."
"I've never liked children."
"Someone brought that alien down from its pedestal, but that person wasn't me."
"I have to admit, I was a little jealous, but I'm more curious about who did what to him, how they did it, and why?"
The lawyers around him were still chattering away, making Lex Luthor's ears itch:
"Mr. Luther? Please concentrate for a moment so we can—"
Lex Luthor interrupted them:
"You've all been fired."
The lawyers exchanged glances. The female lawyer adjusted her glasses, carefully assessing whether Luther was in good mental condition.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Luther, but—"
"Get out. Now," Luther said.
The lawyers whispered among themselves, reluctant to give up the huge sum of money Lex Luthor had promised for a successful defense, but now that it seemed the rich man was willing to go to jail, they had no choice but to give up and leave one after another.
No sooner had they left than others arrived, calling out Luther's full name:
"Lex Luthor."
Luther was getting impatient, and the words were squeezed out from between his teeth:
"I told you I was leaving."
But this time it wasn't a lawyer who came; instead, it was Pandora, a young girl completely shrouded in a red robe.
"I am Pandora, I—"
Following Connors's directions, she arrived at the prison and indeed met Lex Luthor, the "dark-hearted guy" Connors had described.
But before Pandora could finish her self-introduction, Lex Luthor ruthlessly interrupted her:
"No matter who you are, if you think that I will be shocked and in awe if you suddenly appear in front of me, you are going to be disappointed."
"I saw a flying creature, wearing a red cape—"
Pandora then interrupted Luther, mimicking her, and continued with her own self-introduction:
"I have a mission to save this world from the evil I once unleashed, an evil that has taken root in the hearts of people like you and continues to decay."
Lex Luthor stood up from the chair. Although it was called a prison, he didn't have any injuries to his hands or feet. The prison was also very large, surrounded by transparent, hard glass.
"Can't you take a look at yourself before you speak? Wearing a mysterious cloak and holding a three-eyed golden skull, you don't seem to be much more normal than me."
Pandora ignored Luther's sarcastic remarks and casually handed him the golden skull-shaped magic box.
"It was once a prison for evil, and it can be again. I need you to open it."
"Go quickly, take Wonder Woman and the others to retrieve Pandora's Box. Oh, and don't hurt Pandora, she's just an innocent little girl."
Connors said to Zatanna.
"You even did her?" Zatanna asked in surprise. "She's someone who's lived thousands of years ago, even older than Wonder Woman."
"It's like spring water; the older the spring, the sweeter the water," Connors said. "And she's just gained more experience."
Her body has always remained that of a young girl.
Zatanna nodded as if she understood, then pushed open the door of the Mysterious House and jumped out.
"Atomic Girl" leaned on Connors' shoulder and licked her lips with her tongue:
"Didn't I just do you a great favor? You should thank me properly."
"That wasn't a great achievement, it was something else," Connors said irritably.
With the mischievous "Atomic Girl" around, Connors didn't even bother with foreplay and went straight to the point with Zatanna.
