"lia fail, show them your might!" chloe declared, and a red aura spread outward from her body, giving everyone a boost in their speed and strength.
"dagda, time to shine!" princess ariel ordered.
the black cauldron appeared in front of her and shot a green beam of light toward the heavens, creating a green aurora that had a mild healing effect, which increased regeneration and gave a boost in stamina.
"sylvans!" lady arawina shouted. "time to fulfill our oaths! kill!"
""kill!""
""kill!""
""kill!""
""kill!""
""kill!""
obelith looked at the pitiful army, who had decided to invade their realm, with contempt. he waved his hand and ordered the gargoyles to decimate the invaders who bit off more than they could chew.
the first clash sent stones shattering and blood spraying in the air.
everything immediately descended into chaos, while obelith looked down at xanda with a sneer plastered on his face.
he didn't know where the giantess got her reinforcements, but he believed that this army wouldn't be enough to pose a threat to him.
but the sneer on his face stiffened when he saw dozens of powerful individuals emerging from the army he had greatly underestimated right after the initial clashes.
xanda was also caught by surprise due to how powerful her reinforcements were, and she couldn't help but laugh, her eyes glistening with killing intent.
charging alongside her children, she swatted aside countless gargoyles, turning them into shattered rocks.
she had always been defending passively against the gargoyles that had long decided to conquer her domain.
but now, seeing that she had so many powerful experts helping her, she no longer felt that this was a suicide mission.
truth be told, she just wanted to invade the gargoyle realm as a show of her resolve and desperation.
she was prepared to die, and her only goal was to take the leader of the gargoyle with her to the afterlife.
ethan fought close to xanda, making sure that she would not be overwhelmed by their enemies.
"use your x-vision," ethan's other half commented. "use it to its fullest power. perhaps, you will be able to see the secret behind this phenomenon."
ethan's other half was also unable to determine how the professor was doing what he was
doing.
only ethan's x-vision might be able to solve this question, so ethan activated it without a moment's hesitation and raised its power to the fullest.
at first, ethan didn't see anything. but as he continued to look, a faint outline could be seen hovering behind the professor's back.
as ethan focused on it more, he couldn't help but gasp when the faint outline finally made sense to him.
hovering behind professor rinehart was a tortoise that was nearly impossible to see using normal means.
this was not an ordinary tortoise. its head looked like a snapping turtle with four serpent- like black tails, slithering across the sky and destroying anything that tried to go near the headmaster of the academy.
the tortoise was at least thirty meters tall and fifty meters long, which didn't even include the four tails that were wreaking havoc in the skies.
after seeing everything in great detail, ethan finally understood what he was seeing.
"perfect resonance," ethan muttered. "that is professor rinehart's perfect resonance."
the headmaster of brynhildr academy was said to be the most powerful wizard in the current
generation.
even professor barret once said that he wasn't a match for professor rinehart if the two of them fought seriously.
"it seems that there are many old people who want to die today," obelith, who could no longer ignore professor rinehart's silent rampage, said as he faced the opponent who was calmly walking in his direction.
raising his hand, the gargoyle emperor summoned a dark spear that crackled with black
lightning.
"i'll kill you first," obelith stated as if it was already a done deal.
"come," professor rinehart replied calmly. "my academy needs a decent gargoyle statue.
you will suffice."
"impudent mortal!" obelith roared before pointing his trident at the arrogant human who dared to ridicule him.
an explosion that seemed to split the sky in half erupted, making those who were fighting in the sky and on the ground momentarily stop what they were doing to look in the direction of the headmaster, who took obelith's black lightning strike head-on.
