Chapter 15 Three Factions
Chapter 15 Three Factions
Li Ang looked up and the scene outside the car window instantly stunned him.
A colossal tower, entirely black and seemingly constructed from the purest black crystal, stood majestically before him like a pillar supporting the heavens and the earth.
The tower walls are engraved with countless huge and mysterious runes and magic arrays, which are now faintly flowing with a ghostly blue light.
This is the heart of Riley City, the Wizard Tower, a symbol of wizarding power and status.
Li Ang subconsciously wanted to try to bind to this giant tower, but the information that appeared before him made him somewhat disappointed.

Looking at his current mental strength of only 10 points, Li Ang reluctantly gave up on the idea.
The carriage finally stopped at the foot of the Wizard's Tower, in front of a tall, arched gate that could accommodate several carriages entering side by side.
Two rows of guards stood in front of the gate, clad in full golden plate armor, wielding golden rune-inscribed halberds, their faces hidden beneath menacing mask-like armor.
They stood motionless like cold sculptures, with only their blood-red cloaks fluttering in the wind.
The reserve apprentices were terrified. A bunch of country nobles who had never seen the world had never seen such a magnificent tower or such imposing guards.
Even the usually arrogant Matthew couldn't maintain his former boss status at this moment, staring blankly at the scene before him.
The apprentices dared not make a sound, fearing that they would disturb the guards and be killed with a single halberd strike. But the guards were a different story in Li Ang's eyes.

Are even these guards wizard facilities? No wonder it's called a wizard tower.
Celeste was the first to dismount from his personal beast-drawn carriage, and Li Ang and the others quickly followed suit. Celeste ignored the prospective apprentices and headed straight for the massive archway.
As he approached, the runes flowing across the archway flickered, and a small door, about two people tall, next to the imposing gate opened.
Led by Theronster, the group entered through a side door, where the heat and noise of the outside world were instantly shut out.
The first thing that appeared before everyone was a huge circular hall that could hold a thousand people. What surprised everyone even more was that the hall had no dome and you could see the sky directly.
At this moment, the sky was like a clear night sky, with twinkling stars that slowly shifted and formed a vast and mysterious star map.
Finally, one of the apprentices couldn't help but speak up. "Wait a minute, wasn't it daytime when we entered? How come it's nighttime here?"
Celeste continued leading the group forward as if he hadn't heard, but he didn't reprimand the prospective apprentice.
Seeing this, the other trainees also boldly began to discuss it.
"This shouldn't be the real starry sky, but some kind of witchcraft facility," said the bespectacled boy, Ludick.
These remarks elicited gasps of surprise from the prospective apprentices, and seemed to have touched a nerve with Matthew.
He wanted to scold Ludick for talking nonsense, but fearing he might disturb Theronst, he could only glare at Ludick fiercely and warn him in a low voice.
"Rudick, if you dare to talk nonsense again, watch your tongue!"
Ludick was so frightened by Matthew's threat that he dared not say another word and retreated to the back of the crowd.
However, the scene before him made Li Ang look at Ludik with new respect, since he only knew it was a witchcraft facility because of the system.

A soft, unseen light illuminated the entire hall, and the floor, paved with smooth, mirror-like dark stone, reflected the flowing starry sky overhead.
In the center of the hall stands a lifelike, enormous black rock sculpture.
It depicts a wizard with a blurred face, holding a wand and wearing a robe of stars. His name is engraved on the base of the statue: the legendary wizard Riley Celta.
Li Ang had heard rumors about this man; he was the owner of this wizard's tower, a legendary wizard known to all.
At this moment, one side of the hall was bustling with people, creating a stark contrast to the solemn atmosphere.
There were three long tables placed side by side, behind which sat a wizard dressed in a blue or black robe, and on the tables were stacks of parchment.
Above the table, a huge three-dimensional emblem composed of pure light floats.
The largest crowd gathered in front of the first table, with apprentices forming a long line. Their faces showed excitement, nervousness, and anticipation. The emblem above them was a vortex that constantly changed colors: "Elemental School".
Celeste's gaze swept over the area, and he nodded to the black-robed wizard sitting behind the table, who returned the nod.
The second table was much quieter, with only a few people queuing. The emblem above it was a crystal cauldron entwined with emerald green vines, signifying the Potions School.
The female wizard in blue robes behind the table had a calm demeanor and was slowly flipping through the parchment in front of her.
The third table was the most mysterious, with a slightly longer queue than the Potions School. Its emblem was a black curtain adorned with countless glittering stars [Stargazing School].
The wizard behind the table was also dressed in a blue robe. He had his eyes closed and was gently tracing lines on a starlight compass floating in front of him, muttering something unintelligible.
Celeste stopped and turned around, his cold gaze sweeping over the group of apprentices behind him who were newcomers, somewhat stunned by the grandeur of the hall and the scene before them.
"This is the starting point you have chosen."
His voice wasn't loud, but it reached everyone's ears clearly, carrying an undeniable authority.
"Elementalists, Potions, and Stargazing—the three major schools of thought. Your future direction and path will be determined at this moment."
His gaze, almost tangible, slowly swept over Li Ang, Matthew, and Helena, the three formal apprentices.
"The Elemental School studies the secrets of the elements and controls the power of destruction. It is the hall of battle magic and the strongest external force in the Wizard Tower."
His words were calm, but when he mentioned "the strongest power," a barely perceptible hint of arrogance flashed in his eyes. "Of course, the competition is also the fiercest, and only those with exceptional talent can stand out."
His gaze then shifted to the deserted table at the Potions School:
"The Potions School focuses on concocting potions, each with different effects. They can heal injuries and illnesses, enhance physical strength, and even prolong life. Of course, they can also be used to stagnate blood and qi, disturb the mind, or even poison a legendary wizard."
"The most important things to master this skill are patience and meticulousness."
