Chapter 1105 - 1105
Chapter 1105 - 1105
The next day.Aurelia yawned and got up. As soon as she arrived at the lab, a sinister face leaned forward, but inside, Aurelia remained calm. She even wanted to punch that face, yet she put on an expression of shock, widened her eyes, and awkwardly said, "Al-Alaric."
Alaric Wood smiled, a smile filled with ill intent, and said, "Sweetheart, what were you up to last night?"
Aurelia's heart skipped a beat.
Alaric immediately followed up, "You look worn out, with such heavy dark circles."
Aurelia calmed herself and replied, "I stayed up late organizing some data that Dr. Vaila requested, maybe that's why I look a bit off."
Alaric chuckled, "Women should take care of their skin and avoid using such heavy foundation regularly."
Aurelia remained silent.
But her reaction clearly indicated she didn't intend to heed his advice.
Alaric didn't mind.
Alaric: "Come with me to a place."
Another clean-up job for him?
As expected, it was another of those tasks to clean up the mess he left behind.
Aurelia somewhat suspected whether this man thought that once he had someone to clean up after him, he could torture the experiment subjects without restraint?
Looking at the person on the ground, on the brink of death, tortured beyond recognition and lying in a pool of blood, Aurelia narrowed her eyes casually and asked, "Alaric, do you enjoy torturing people?"
"Do I?" Alaric seemed briefly lost, a fleeting sorrow flashed in his eyes but was quickly replaced with wickedness, curling his lips, "Sweetheart, you sure ask a lot of questions. Don't you think red is beautiful?"
Alaric tilted his head, looking at Aurelia with a bizarre expression.
Aurelia averted her gaze, lowered her head to clean, and said blandly, "I don't like red."
"Ah, is that so? I thought you did." Alaric muttered to himself.
Aurelia paused for a moment and asked Alaric, "Why did you think that?"
Alaric: "Just… thought you were like me."
"I'm not like you." Aurelia finished cleaning and stood up, heading out, "Alaric's status is far above mine; I'm just a little assistant."
…
After dealing with Alaric's matters, Aurelia went to attend to Mason Nightshade. With Vaila Mook's orders, approaching Mason became much easier.
Aurelia whispered in Mason's ear, "Vaila seems to be researching a potion, but I don't know the specifics. Also, I've found Pablo and the others; I plan to start the action today."
Mason raised an eyebrow.
Aurelia looked at him, "I can't delay any longer."
"Fine." Mason replied, with a hint of coldness in his squinted eyes, "It's time to teach them a lesson, make them understand which people they can mess with and which they can't."
Aurelia's slender fingers gently touched the cold shackles on Mason's arm; her fingertips were exceptionally pale, one of those unusual whites without a hint of blood, exquisitely trimmed, which clashed with her heavily made-up face.
She softly murmured, "I hate how they deal with you like this."
Mason whispered into her ear, "Trust me, darling, I hate it too." Suddenly, a pair of big hands hugged Aurelia, causing her to freeze momentarily.
Mason tightened his grip, inhaling her familiar fragrance, and sighed, "Aurelia, I missed you terribly."
"Your hands…" Aurelia was stunned for quite a while. Suddenly, she understood Mason's words about him leaving whenever he wanted.
