Chapter 109: Was it him who bullied you?
Chapter 109: Was it him who bullied you?
"It's unscientific. I've thought of more than ten possibilities, but I still can't imagine how a newcomer could survive in the endless sea." A wizard apprentice shook his head repeatedly, with a draft paper next to him filled with various scenarios, the paper crumpled up.
How long a wizard apprentice can survive at sea is the best proof of his or her strength. Not to mention a second-class wizard apprentice, even a first-class wizard apprentice might not be able to survive that long when traveling alone.
"That's just bragging. Maybe he just happened to find a deserted island, left some food there, and then swaggered back home," a wizard apprentice said with a jealous look, his face flushed red and his hands clenched into fists.
"I also think that the tower master just brought him back casually. The tower master has always been friendly to us."
Hearing this, Lin Wei was speechless, thinking to himself, "Think whatever you want." He rolled his eyes, his lips drooping slightly.
The wizard apprentices quickly dispersed, leaving only Dora and Lin Wei, who had just come ashore, talking amongst themselves. However, Lin Wei's name was remembered by more people; at least he was a newly promoted second-class wizard apprentice, which was not bad.
Somewhere in the crowd, two people were talking.
"Lin Wei? Is this the guy who bullied you earlier?" A gloomy-faced wizard apprentice asked Ombi, who was standing next to him. The two looked similar, both with the appearance of bad boys. The gloomy wizard apprentice's eyes revealed a fierce look.
"Big brother, that's right." Angbi looked at Lin Wei not far away, his teeth itching with hatred, his hands clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white.
He had been thrown to the ground by Lin Wei in front of many people, losing all face.
Angbi even stopped practicing meditation, simply because closing his eyes reminded him of Lin Wei's disdainful look as he threw him down.
"I understand. In the Turing Tower, remember to call me teacher. Figure out how to get back at him first. Don't bother me all the time. You've lived for over a hundred years. Don't rely on your brother for everything. I only need one opportunity to become a first-ring wizard. Don't bother me during this time." Angko dismissed him and left silently, his face showing impatience.
"I can handle this myself," Ombi said through gritted teeth, clenching his fists.
Behind Lin Wei and Doraemon, a wizard apprentice watched their departing figures with a violent expression and eyes full of anger. Several other wizard apprentices also left with him.
"Giodarmo, what's wrong?" a wizard apprentice asked, frowning slightly and looking puzzled.
"It's nothing." The man shook his head, his lips pressed tightly together, offering no explanation.
"Because of Dorra, right?" the other wizard apprentices teased, some even deliberately drawing out their words.
These people were all dressed in the gray-black robes of second-class wizard apprentices. In the slightly dim room, their shadows were elongated, making them look very composed.
Gautama was quite talented. At thirty-one years old, he had already reached the threshold of a first-class wizard apprentice, making him the most gifted among them. He possessed rare talents in both water and fire, as well as a strong temperament. However, he was a bit short-tempered. At this moment, his face was gloomy, and the veins on his forehead were slightly bulging.
It's an open secret that he's been pursuing Dora.
"She's just a witch. You'll conquer her sooner or later. Although she's more talented than us, she's not as talented as you," someone teased with a grin, nudging Gautama with his elbow.
Gautama snapped the wand he was gripping tightly in his hand with a "crack," his face becoming even more ferocious, his eyes wide open, and he roared, "This is a foregone conclusion, but I still won't allow anyone to get so close to Dora."
……
"Achoo! Achoo!"
Lin Wei walked along the winding path, the trees beside him lush and green, with a few leaves occasionally falling. He suddenly sneezed a few times, his body trembling slightly, which made Dora, who was beside him, widen her beautiful eyes and open her mouth slightly, revealing a surprised expression.
"Junior Brother Lin Wei, we wizards don't sneeze. You must be being talked about." Dora paused for a moment, then covered her mouth and laughed.
"I guess someone's trying to harm me." Lin Wei shrugged, a slight smile playing on his lips, thinking to himself, "My advanced perception told me that many eyes were watching my back."
"The wizarding apprenticeship is a deep rabbit hole. I thought everyone was doing well," Lin Wei said, shaking his head helplessly, his eyes revealing a hint of wariness.
Lin Wei was fearless. At least the tower master Robert treated him well. Robert was a second-circle wizard, and as long as he continued to demonstrate his value, he had nothing to fear in the Turing Tower. Lin Wei stood with his hands behind his back, his steps firm.
"Junior Brother Lin Wei, you don't seem nervous at all." Dora tilted her head, her eyes filled with curiosity, and continued to smile.
"Don't panic. When I was on the human continent, there were many people much stronger than me who wanted to kill me, but I dealt with them all in the end. I don't even care about these people." Lin Wei grinned, his eyes revealing confidence.
Soon, the two arrived at the manor. The manor gates were wide open, and the surrounding flowers and plants exuded a fragrant aroma. Dora skipped home and brought back more than ten baked goods for Lin Wei to admire; these were all the ideas she had come up with this month.
"Hmm, this weird-flavored bean tastes like snot." Lin Wei wrinkled his nose, put the bean in his mouth, chewed it, and then spat it out.
"This lamb chop is good, I haven't had enough." Lin Wei's eyes lit up, and he picked up another piece of lamb chop and put it in his mouth, chewing it heartily.
"There are too many beef cubes, more than two hundred, each one is bigger than a fist. Who are you trying to make this for?" Lin Wei said as he stuffed beef cubes into his mouth.
Lin Wei enjoyed the meal immensely and finished tasting it in no time. He then bid farewell to Senior Sister Duola.
"Hmph, this guy eats really fast, and he's not holding back his comments at all." Dora stomped her foot and pouted angrily.
Just then, a piece of paper appeared outside her window, fluttering gently in the breeze.
"Dora, one of the candidates for the Challenge Cup, represents the Turing Tower in the Challenge Cup held by the Wizarding Committee of East 8 and East 9. Depending on her performance, she can obtain corresponding resources, and there are even free Banshee Breakthrough Potions."
Upon seeing the envelope, Dora's previously puffed-up face instantly broke into a wide smile, her eyes narrowed into slits, and she jumped up excitedly.
"I'm determined to get the Banshee Breakthrough Potion; I can drop the title of prospective candidate," she said earnestly, clenching her fists. "However, there are so many wizarding organizations in the East Eighth and East Ninth Districts, dozens of them, big and small. I need to hurry up and cultivate."
Not only Dorra, but several other talented first-class wizard apprentices also received the letter, including Onbi's brother Onco.
