Chapter 509 New Teammates
As dawn broke and the students of Hogwarts were still fast asleep, the Headmaster's office was bustling with activity.
Dumbledore sat calmly in his chair, surrounded by several wizards, most of whom were members of the Order of the Phoenix, chattering away with him.
Meanwhile, our Miss Loira Hamilton sat on a high stool in the principal's office, swinging her legs and eating honey tsuna.
Dumbledore sent Bibi early in the morning, saying there was something important to discuss—but when she arrived, Royla only saw a group of Order of the Phoenix discussing the maze with Dumbledore.
Hmm—so this is what's important?
Loila thought Dumbledore was already prepared to take over the Ministry of Magic and unify the wizarding world.
Her boots dangled in the air as she stared at the wizards, candy clutched in her hand.
Dumbledore didn't seem to have gathered too many people this time. There was only Professor Snape, and two other people that Royla didn't recognize.
One of them was a girl with pink hair that looked like bubblegum, who seemed to be only a little older than herself—but her outfit was much cooler, giving Loira a very rebellious feeling.
The other person was a dark-skinned middle-aged man wearing a somewhat comical purple hat to cover his bald head, and also had a huge gold earring.
They appeared to have arrived together, and it seemed they had a lot to talk about with Dumbledore.
And they are all related to the Ministry of Magic.
"Fudge has become increasingly extreme these past few weeks," the middle-aged man said slowly, his voice unusually calm, possessing the same calming power as Dumbledore's.
"He's always thinking about and doubting others," he continued. "That's not a good thing."
"Perhaps it's because he finally realized his incompetence." The pink-haired girl didn't mince words, she scoffed, "But that's all, he's never really realized his mistakes."
"Tonks—" Seemingly because her words were a bit too impolite, the middle-aged man coughed and reminded her, "You'd better not show this kind of emotion when you're at the Ministry of Magic."
"Of course." Tonks nodded and turned around. "My acting skills are excellent."
However, her spinning motion seemed a bit too big, and she accidentally bumped into the globe on the edge of the table. Seeing the globe about to fall over, she hurriedly tried to catch it.
""
Everyone watched this scene in silence, including Loila.
Is she really okay?
Dumbledore, aren't you going a bit too far? How could you recruit such young people to deal with Voldemort?
And speaking of the Ministry of Magic—do they have any connection with the Ministry of Magic?
Could they actually be Aurors from the Ministry of Magic?
Wait a minute—Loy scrutinized the dark-skinned middle-aged man, then seemed to realize something—he seemed to have appeared in the office with Minister Fudge—the same time he'd been hiding in Mr. Parkinson's office—
Is he really that amazing?
Could he be a vice minister?
Or is he some kind of director?
And what about Miss Tonks? Is she also from the Ministry of Magic?
But could someone dressed like that really work at the Ministry of Magic? Absolutely not in the German Ministry of Magic.
As Loila was carefully observing the two of them, the middle-aged man seemed to say something, causing everyone to turn and look at Loila.
"ah?
'
Suddenly being stared at by everyone, Loila trembled and almost fell off the high stool, but luckily she managed to grab the table in front of her.
"Miss Hamilton, please come here for a moment. We have something we'd like to discuss with you." Dumbledore smiled as he looked at the scene before him.
"Ah—okay—okay." Loila pursed her lips and nodded. She carefully got off the high stool and then silently walked to the side of the group.
"Miss Hamilton—" The middle-aged man spoke first as he saw Loila approaching, "I am Kingsley Shackle."
"As you know, I work at the Ministry of Magic—" he said, bowing slightly.
"Hello, Mr. Shakel." Loila wasn't very good at talking to strangers, so she nodded cautiously.
"Hello, Professor Hamilton." The girl called Tonks spoke up at this moment, looking at Loila curiously and then circling around her.
"You really do have pointed ears, and silver hair—"
"Your hair is weirder than mine" — Loila glanced at her pink hair, unaware that Tonks had seen this gesture.
She smiled gently and shook her hair, turning the pink color into the same silver as Loila's in surprise.
"Hmm!"
Seeing Loila's surprised look, Tonks smiled and raised an eyebrow: "How about that, impressive, right—Professor Hamilton?"
"Alright, Tonks," Kingsley coughed and said to the surprised Loila, "Miss Nymphadora Tonks is a Disguise Magus, and also an Auror of the Ministry of Magic."
"Disguise Magus?" Loila muttered the word. She had never heard of this creature before—well, its ability.
"It means being able to transform into anyone," Snape said slowly, glancing at Tonks, whose hair had returned to pink. "Miss Tonks is a natural-born—Disguise Magus."
He unusually refrained from mocking Loila.
"That's really... impressive." Loila thought for a moment and, at a loss for words, could only utter this.
"Cough cough."
Seeing the somewhat silent atmosphere, Dumbledore coughed and slowly began, "Miss Hamilton—I have a question for you—"
Do you have any thoughts on changing jobs?
"Hmm?" Loila blinked, not understanding Dumbledore's meaning.
"What does 'change jobs' mean?"
"Should we switch to a different church?"
"No," Dumbledore gently shook his head. "What I mean is—would you like to work at the Ministry of Magic?"
"Huh?" Loila trembled upon hearing this. "No—no!"
"I don't want to go—to work at the Ministry of Magic!" she protested fiercely. "The Ministry of Magic is terrifying."
Her words made everyone present chuckle.
Dumbledore smiled, shook his head, and looked at Kingsley: "I've already said—Miss Hamilton won't be going to the Ministry of Magic."
"Alright, alright," Kingsley shrugged. "Since Miss Hamilton is unwilling to join the Ministry of Magic as a spy for the Order of the Phoenix—then let's drop this matter."
So you wanted me to join the Ministry of Magic?
Loila looked at Kingsley with displeasure, her puffed-up face resembling a hamster with its cheeks stuffed full.
"Regarding joining the Ministry of Magic—if Miss Hamilton is unwilling, I have another matter I'd like to ask you about." Dumbledore changed the subject, his expression becoming slightly serious: "Miss Hamilton—"
"What if Connery suddenly decides to put you on trial one day—"
"I hope you will surrender."
"Hmm?" Loila's expression changed immediately.
Are you telling me not to resist?!
Wouldn't it be very dangerous if the Ministry of Magic were to just kill me or something?
Maybe I should just join the Ministry of Magic!
"Don't worry—Miss Hamilton," Dumbledore said slowly, as if he knew what Royla was thinking. "You'll be alright."
"I can guarantee that."
