The Silent Witch of Hogwarts

Chapter 468 Request

Chapter 468 Request

Chapter 468 Request

Early in the morning, Loila woke up shivering, not knowing why, she hadn't slept well the night before.

It wasn't a nightmare or anything; she hadn't had nightmares for a long time since Karkaroff died, but she just didn't sleep very well.

Could this be some kind of omen?

A cold wind blew into the room through the window, causing her to sneeze.

Fortunately, Miss Nagini wasn't in the room at the time, otherwise this sneeze might have woken her up.

Valentine's Day has passed in the blink of an eye, and winter is almost over, but even so—Hogwarts shows no sign of getting warmer.

This is really an uninhabitable place, not at all like Austria — although the snow in Neumorgad probably hasn't melted yet either.

Thinking of Nurmengard, Loira realized that she hadn't seen Lord Grindelwald for a while. In fact, it had been since she last met Lord Grindelwald with Dumbledore—perhaps she should talk to Dumbledore and ask him to take her there again when he had the chance.

But what excuse should I use?

You can't say you hate Lord Grindelwald to the point of developing feelings for him, can you?

Loila sighed and rolled over in bed. She didn't want to get up and go to work—although the maze was almost finished, the thought of standing there in the dead of winter made her reluctant to go.

I want to be lazy today —

"Bang bang bang".

There was a sudden knock on the office door, which made Loila, who was hiding under the covers, twitch her ears.

Who could it be so early? Could it be Dumbledore? I've heard that older people do seem to have trouble sleeping—does he have some work to assign me again?

Loila pursed her lips and asked, "Who's at the door?"

"Loila—it's me."

Mr. Lupin's voice came from behind the door, which surprised Loila quite a bit—Mr. Lupin had been very busy lately, so why would he come to see her?

"I have something I'd like to discuss with you," Lupin's voice continued, leaving Loira little time to think further.

"Okay—okay, please wait a moment!" Loila got out of bed in a bit of a mess, waving her wand to tidy up the room while hurriedly putting on her robe.

She also closed the window and let the fireplace fire burn brightly.

Only after all this was completed did she nod and open the door to the room.

"Just woke up?" Lupin seemed to know what had happened, and he chuckled, saying, "Sorry I'm here so early today."

"No—it's alright!" Loila quickly shook her head. As Mr. Lupin was her friend, she wouldn't say anything even if he came at midnight!

Lupin looked at her with a gentle smile on her face, but as he walked into the office and slowly sat down, the smile gradually faded.

"Loila—I have something I want to ask you." Lupin sat in his chair and thought for a few seconds before looking at Loila as if he had made up his mind.

Do you have some questions for me?

Loila sat obediently opposite Lupin, tilting her head and holding her teacup in her hands.

"What is it?"

I can answer anything that isn't related to Karkaroff.

"You and Karkarov are classmates, right?"

Ugh!

Loila's hand holding the teacup trembled slightly.

It really is related to Karkarov!

How should I answer this?

"Yes—we're classmates," Loila said, taking a sip of tea. "But we—aren't we very familiar with each other—"

Lupin looked at her silently for a few seconds, then continued, "I see—"

"So—Loila," he said, then paused abruptly, hesitating for a few seconds before asking, "Do you know Müller von Ansbach?"

"

'

Loila's slightly awkward expression suddenly froze, and she looked at Lupin with some surprise.

How did Mr. Lupin know the name of Müller?

Who told him? Was it Miss Ansbach?

When Mr. Lupin mentioned Müller's name, it was as if Hagrid had suddenly announced that he was a member of the Malay Party.

Loila never imagined that one day she would hear that name from Mr. Lupin.

Mr. Lupin — why ask this question?

Loila felt her head was spinning, but just then, she felt someone gently pat her shoulder.

It is Mr. Lu Ping.

"Loila—you know Müller, right?"

Mr. Lupin's gentle voice reached her, causing Loila to take a deep breath.

"Hmm...hmm!" Loila nodded slowly and said, "I...I know him."

"You two used to be close, right?"

"Close relationship?!" Loila's tone changed abruptly. What did she mean by "close relationship"?

It's really strange what our relationship is—we should be classmates, right?

But we should be closer than classmates, right? But if we're definitely not friends—then—what are we?

A teacher—or so it seems? Perhaps he was a teacher? After all, Müller taught him a lot.

Seeing that Loila's thoughts seemed to be in disarray again, Lupin coughed and slowly said, "Although it's a bit—sorry to say that."

"But Loila—can you tell me—how did she leave?"

'

""

Loila slightly raised her head to look at Lupin, her sapphire-like eyes suddenly dimming as she hesitated, fidgeting with her fingers, unsure whether she should say these words.

She wasn't very willing to bring up those things—unwilling to recall how Muller was—and even in her mind, she didn't want his name to be associated with that word.

"I'm sorry, Loila." Lupin seemed to have noticed something. He shook his head and sighed, "Perhaps I shouldn't have asked that."

"No—I shouldn't be the one apologizing—" Loila said, her head lowered and her voice tinged with sadness. "I—I just—don't know how to say it."

"I'm so sorry—"

Hearing Loila's voice, Lupin gave a reassuring smile: "It's okay—I shouldn't have asked such a question."

"Let's change the subject," he said, alternating, "How's your work going?"

"It's alright." Loila forced herself not to think about that matter anymore.

She looked at Lupin and said, "It should be finished in another week—"

"That's wonderful," Lupin nodded. "If you need my help, please don't hesitate to ask."

"Okay—okay." Loila nodded softly, though she didn't think Mr. Lupin could be of any help with the magic circle.

They chatted casually for a while, and then Mr. Lupin took his leave. He seemed to have some research to do with Mr. Steinberg, so he left.

But watching his departing figure, Loila felt a deep sense of unease.

Did Mr. Lupin discover something?

Why ask about Karkaroff and—Müller?

Loila pursed her lips with a hint of worry; the last person she wanted to know was probably her friend.

If Mr. Lupin knew—what should I do?

Will Mr. Lupin tell Dumbledore?

Loila held her wand in a somewhat annoyed manner for a long time until she saw the letter on the table and, as if remembering something, picked up the quill pen.

"Miss Hilo—I have something I'd like to discuss with you—do you have time?"

Please! ( ) )!

Looking at the letter in his hand, Hilo Rozier raised an eyebrow and put down his teacup.

What did she think I was doing? — I'm very busy here too!

But looking at those final words, "Please," Shiloh shook his head and picked up his pen to write a reply.
