Chapter 419 The Death of Karkaroff
Chapter 419 The Death of Karkaroff
Chapter 419 The Death of Karkaroff (Part 1)
Let's turn the clock back a few hours, roughly when the students were still reeling from the death.
"Hmm!"
Harry emerged from the lake, carefully surveying his surroundings. Only after confirming that no one was watching him did he nod slightly and wave his wand.
Seeing his robes transformed into a student-style garment, Harry smiled slightly.
This is certainly not Harry; this is Loila Hamilton, who should be lying on the ground pretending to be dead.
It's all thanks to Miss Shiloh—without her help, I'd be the one lying on the ground looking like a fool.
Ah—of course, I didn't mean to say Miss Shiloh was silly, after all, Miss Shiloh was very unwilling at the time—Loy pursed her lips, thinking of Miss Shiloh's expression when she learned that she was to pretend to be a corpse, she felt a little scared.
Hmm—don't blame me—if you have to blame someone, blame Dumbledore, okay?
It's all his fault! And Mrs. Maxim—it was their bad idea—anyway, it has nothing to do with me—
Um.
After calming herself down a bit, or perhaps just letting her mind wander, Loila felt her tense mind suddenly calm down.
She was, of course, a little nervous now, because the mission she had failed to complete more than fifty years ago was finally about to be accomplished.
Karkaroff is finally going to die—she slightly tightened her grip on her wand, the somewhat different feeling making her a little uncomfortable—but who knew that pretending to be a corpse would require taking her wand?
It seems to be meant as some kind of clue for the heroes—luckily, I still have a magic wand, a magic wand with a magic circle engraved on it, which Mr. Ollivander specially made for Loira during the summer vacation.
However, this wand can only be used once—I never expected it would be used to kill Karkaroff—but it's enough—I even added a Killing Curse to prevent resurrection or something—
Loila pursed her lips and patted her cheeks. Alright, she was about to meet Karkaroff, and she needed to pretend to be more like Mr. Potter—who knew that she and Miss Shiloh would both be impersonating others today—
Harry walked into the woods with a slightly nervous gait.
Where is Mrs. Kakalo? Loila walked into the woods with some worry. Weren't we supposed to meet here?
Where is he? — Was he held up by something? Or — did something happen? It couldn't be that he noticed, could it?
According to him, he would arrive here after Mr. Potter went into the water to investigate, and then Mr. Potter would take the opportunity to come here from the water as well.
"Clatter".
Suddenly, Loila heard footsteps behind her. She pursed her lips, resisting the urge to turn around and wave her wand, and instead pretended not to hear them and continued to walk carefully forward.
"Harry!"
"Hmm!"
Even so, when Karkaroff suddenly called out "Harry," Loira instinctively flinched. She turned her head and looked at Karkaroff, who was dressed in black robes, and nodded slightly.
He's here—that's wonderful—that's truly amazing—
Loila, who had expected something terrible to happen, smiled slightly when she saw Karkaroff.
Of course, to Karkaroff, this smile seemed like a sign of trust.
"You weren't discovered by anyone else, were you?" Karkaroff stepped forward and lowered his voice slightly to Loira, "Like an Auror or the professor or something?"
"No—no." Loila nodded and followed behind him.
Karkaroff did not search into the Forbidden Forest as Loila had expected, but instead walked deeper into the Forbidden Forest, or rather, not deeper into the Forbidden Forest, but outside Hogwarts.
Wasn't he going to take Mr. Potter to kill Sirius Black?
Seemingly because of Loila's somewhat strange look, Karkaroff explained, "I already tested it with magic yesterday—I already know Sirius's location."
He pointed ahead and said, "His hidden lair is not far from here."
He looked at Harry and said, "Don't worry, Harry."
"We will catch him."
"Okay—okay." Loila nodded obediently. Of course, she wasn't in a hurry. She planned to wait until Karkaroff went deeper into the Forbidden Forest before killing him, since it was quite close to Hogwarts.
What if some lost little wizard sees her? That wouldn't be good, would it? Loila doesn't really want to use forgetfulness spells or similar magic on her students.
However, as Loila followed Karkaroff, her excitement did not lessen at all. Besides the thought of avenging Muller immediately, she also had a slight sense of tension—perhaps because of the impending killing.
Okay, although Loila's inner monologues are always so rich, she has never actually killed anyone. Although she has used the Killing Curse, the curse has never killed anyone for some strange reason.
Today must be her first time killing someone, and thinking about it is actually quite exciting—and the first victim is a guy as evil as Karkaroff, just like in Mr. Lockhart's novels, where the first opponent of a great adventurer is always an evil fellow.
After defeating this evil fellow, the adventurer took the first step on the path to heroism.
But watching Karkaroff's retreating figure, Roy pursed her lips—suddenly, some questions arose in her mind, some that were a little inappropriate, but questions she wanted to know.
"Karkaroff—Headmaster," Loira suddenly spoke, using Harry's voice, "I have something—I want to ask you."
"Hmm?" Karkaroff responded, somewhat surprised. "What is it?" He didn't turn around, but simply asked, "If it's not too urgent, let's wait until we catch Sirius, okay?"
"It's very—very urgent," Loila said, her voice trembling with urgency. "Principal Karkaroff—did you know—and Professor Hamilton before?"
"Hamilton—" Karkaroff was clearly taken aback. He paused for a moment, then took another step a few seconds later.
"Of course I know her," Karkaroff said slowly. "We're classmates."
"Although we weren't in the same grade, we got along very well at Durmstrang."
"Is it very good?"
Loila instinctively tightened her grip on her wand.
"Yes, that's right." Karkaroff nodded and said, "Our relationship is not only good, but as her senior, I also taught her quite a few spells."
"...
—"
"I see—I see—" These answers were practically squeezed out from between Loila's teeth, but even these answers were enough to make her feel—disgusted—unable to feel any more disgusted.
It's really disgusting—this was clearly something Muller and I did—why is he saying that—why—?
"By the way, do you know why Professor Hamilton can use the Silent Spell?" Karkaroff seemed to be engrossed in the conversation, and he turned slightly to stand still and asked.
"have no idea."
"Of course, it's also related to me." Karkaroff raised an eyebrow, looking smug. "It was the silent spell I helped her train back then."
"In addition—"
"Then—then let's say—" Loila suddenly interrupted Karkaroff, and—her voice changed at that moment, no longer the voice of Harry Potter, but a somewhat indifferent, cold voice.
"Principal Karkarov—you must know Müller, right?"
