Chapter 32 Chaos vs Seraphine
Chapter 32 Chaos vs Seraphine
Arin slammed his right foot into the ground with force, causing debris to scatter around him. He crouched low, shifting his right leg back, his sword poised and ready to strike. A smirk curled on his lips as he locked eyes with Seraphine.
"I won't lose here because..." he began, his voice low and confident. The tension in the air thickened as the red spikes hurtled toward him. He paused for effect, then added with quiet determination, "I am all that I choose to be."
*WHOOSH*
The crimson spikes closed in rapidly, but before they could reach him...
*BOOM*
Arin suddenly kicked off the ground with explosive force, a cloud of dust erupting behind him. He reached the spikes in an instant, his sword a blur as it sliced through the air.
*CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG*
A rapid series of metallic clangs echoed as Arin deflected the spikes with precision, inching closer to Seraphine with every strike. His enhanced speed, a result of the Extra's Stand skill, allowed him to expertly counter each spike, sparks flying with each impact.
More spikes surged toward him, but his focus never wavered. He continued deflecting them, his eyes sharp and unwavering, showing no hesitation.
Using the Arcane Chaos spell would have made this easier, but Arin knew better. Vampires couldn't use Mana; instead, they harnessed Blood Energy. The effects of his Arcane Chaos spell were nullified against the red spikes, forcing him to rely solely on his physical abilities.
As the last spike neared, Arin raised his left hand, summoning a Water Shield to block it. But before he could catch his breath...
*WHOOSH*
Seraphine appeared before him, a predatory grin on her face as her claws slashed toward his head.
*CLANG*
Arin was quick, raising his sword just in time to parry her strike. The force of their clash sent Seraphine stumbling back, but Arin saw his chance.
Without missing a beat, he flicked his wrist, lunging his sword toward her heart. But before the blade could strike...
*CLANG*
A red armor, seemingly made of hardened blood, materialized over Seraphine's chest, stopping his sword cold and sending sparks flying.
*WHOOSH*
Seraphine leaped back, putting distance between them once more. She eyed him warily, her expression a mix of surprise and respect.
With a swift motion, Arin raised his hand, channeling Mana into a spell. The sound of rushing water filled the air as Water Spikes formed above him, ready to strike.
With a flick of his wrist, the Water Spikes shot toward Seraphine, who braced herself, her claws ready.
"You think these will stop me?!" she sneered. "Think again!"
*CLANG*
With a powerful slash, she deflected the first wave of Water Spikes, but more followed, forcing her to stand her ground.
"Tch..." she clicked her tongue in irritation, standing firm as the spikes closed in.
But just as the Water Spikes were about to hit...
*WHOOSH*
A wave of Blood Energy erupted from her body, altering the trajectory of the spikes and sending them harmlessly off course.
"Haha, that was easy..." she began, but her victory was short-lived.
An ominous presence loomed above her, and she glanced up in alarm. "Tch..."
Arin had already leaped high above her, his sword descending like a meteor, aimed directly at her head.
"Stupid move," Seraphine muttered, raising her claws to block the attack.
*CLANG*
The sound of their clash echoed through the forest, louder than any before, as their weapons met with devastating force.
*WHOOSH*
The wind whipped around them, making their hair and cloaks billow wildly. Seraphine had blocked his strike as expected, but she was unaware of Arin's true intentions.
In a fluid motion, Arin, still airborne, pressed down on his sword, using Seraphine's claws as leverage. Before she could react, he flipped over her, landing gracefully behind her.
His eyes locked onto her exposed neck, and without hesitation, his sword lashed out.
"I told you..." Arin whispered, his voice icy and determined. "I won't lose here..."
