Chapter 303 Diversion

Chapter 303 Diversion

After Seth checked its value, he was dumbfounded. A whopping 105.7 million gold coins.

Well, he controlled himself, in that Auction he had seen something more.

Seth slid the necklace inside the box before he stored it away.

He then came out together with the rest of the people, he looked at the vanishing moon as well as the rising sun.

The ominous feeling he had been feeling about the moon has reduced ever since First Might made a mystical line around the Moon Stigma.

But there was still something there, just outside his vision for some reason he can't feel it fully.

This became pronounced as he was planning to leave the next night.

'I should wait till next morning then!' He thought.

"I have been meaning to ask you, why do some players don't have game attire. Was it a reservation or to hide one origin?"

Seth asked Rena but it wasn't her that answer but Greenvein.

"In some sanctuaries players were hunted by the NPC as a sport, so they hid by not wearing it. But some just wanted to hide from other players as you have suspected. However, most of us have been killed or destroyed completely and when we respawn we lost our items!"

"How so?" Seth expected that attires can be respawn in the village or their sanctuary. Even Roots Village Mansion has that function to retrieve what was lost!

"Have you ever heard about the Marauder King?" Lady Saya asked. Seth shook his head.

"He is a mysterious Intercontinental Thief that is rumoured to have survived the war in Gawee Land. He set his eyes on everything and stole it at a moment's notice. It was said that he didn't spare even ancient dragons, angels and demons. Heck, everyone has lost something to him." Lady Saya narrated.

"But none of the powers made a move to kill or even stop him. Not because he is stronger than them but because he is a necessary evil. You see when a dragon breath obliterate you, three things happened"

One, if your attires grade was high, it won't be destroyed and you will vanish with it and respawn with it. With this one may not lose his acquired arms much!

Two, if the attire grade was low, you will respawn in white fragile garment in your sanctuary. Your attire will be retrieved by the sanctuary chief at a cost.

Third, the destruction was too high and you will lose your attire completely. But using some skills and other abilities or going somewhere you can resurrect them. But that was a minute after you lost them, if not you can't get them back.

For the longest time Players have thought that they lost their attire forever but from the real world they learned from certain players that spawn in a special land where Banditry reigns supreme. Every destroyed attire will appear there.

"Really?" Seth was surprised.

"It's confirmed by multiple sources. Here we have GEST but in other continents they created their own organization for retrieval of the items lost!" Greenvein explained.

Seth was holding his Red Signature Book, reading through each page with a frown, his attention suddenly shifted to a (E+) run canvas where he painted his cart and Little Cub, the image just blurred completely.

'They fall for the decoy!'

He thought but he was never worried about who would follow him, even if they met him, he was confident in himself to a degree.

What he was worried about was to reach a sanctuary before night. His intuition was screaming to him again about the moon. What cemented his fear was the vision he saw through the eyes of Rena.

He sighed deeply and focused on the Red Signature Book again, he purposely looked at Beholder World Skill, it still gave him chill, before he turned to Safe House Skill.

The reason he was going through this was creating battle tactics in his mind. The book despite its danger was his second strongest weapon. The first was obviously his Short Sword two skill attack. The ones he only used one time each.

'Something is amiss?' Seth thought, 'the bells aren't ringing which means those Gawee Beasts aren't following me.'

With his Preeminence Gaze and Shadow Glare Seth checked but didn't find anything wrong with that.

So, his attention returned to the Red Signature Book.

'I'm about to reach the 100km mark away from Underground Valley.... but there should be monsters underground that should trigger the bells!'

All this paranoia seemed from the fact he knew Blood Warlock had engaged with the monster he created.

The Crimson Lord has warned Seth that the beast may have some mystical way of knowing who discovered it.

However, the Chief also said, he won't allow the monster to escape his grapsed. He only informed Seth to make sure he was in the know.

Seth reached the Coral Authority Domain Skill, he hadn't used this before but it almost consumed him. The domain seemed to feed on blood to grow, and he had been trying to understand what it truly was but failed.

Seth was about to move to the next skill when he stopped, 'There are no bell rings of alerts!'

His attention then focussed on Little Cub that was running at high speed, the beast was silent on its feet, its breath was controlled, there were no usual growls.

Seth frown deepened as he remembered when he faced off against the Ancient Cloud Dragon, Red Signature Book acted on its own and Pharaoh's Whip became a hand and with the enhancement of Arf grabbed that vile artefact and it was stored in the book.

Now the Artefact has a page for itself and Seth has checked it and it has no name.

The event showed him the book has its own instinct to protect its owner against overwhelming force.

Seth smirked and closed the book, holding it with both hands he projected his intention, 'Protect me against all power!'

Bam... Zooooom!
