Chapter 167: Chief Yellow Monster Core

"14%? I'm not even halfway. Shouldn't the dragon have a 10% increase, the four dragons should give me 40% completion and the two other parts of the quest take 30% each!"

Seth wondered but then he shook his head and his hand went to the Red Stones.

"They will be of great help. Hopefully, the next dragon will be easier to deal with!"

Seth's eyes moved to Clear Stone. He smiled as he knew this one will help him clear his head and remove all impurity in case he met with any of that. But it pained Seth that the stone is still cracked here and there. No amount of aura can heal it. But he doesn't know how to upgrade it as that was the only thing that can be recovered.

Seth took the dragon's blood, it's as if he took a steel ball due to its weight. But tapping into its aura and red colour seth was able to move it with ease.

"I need to familiarize myself with this!"

Seth looked at the Gawee Monster and then he grabbed it while his hand was coated with aura. He knew that would keep him safe nevertheless his body trembled and a flash of memories struck his mind.

Seth saw a rabbit from a forest that is not Living Roots, a gust of wind blew and the rabbit was thrown outside the forest, Gawee Continent pressure slammed at it. That made it come close to death but it was never a normal rabbit but an animal that was born and raised on the continent. So, it survived in agony for some hours.

Unfortunately, an asteroid struck down, and dense Silver Mist permeated the whole forest and the surrounding locations. Many animals transformed into Crodo. But few of the creatures weren't able to transform rather they turned into an abomination.

The rabbit lost its white coat but developed a special organ where it became its new brain and heart. A desire to feed and regain its previous form filled its being. And that was when a brutal life-and-death battle began.

That was how most Abhorrent Monsters were created. They are failed Crodo transformers.

The Abhorrent rabbit fed on any animal and abhorrent it came across. The more the Abhorrent fed the more the new organ grew stronger and its desire for one thing. Perfection. It has the desire to no longer be abominations but something pure and good.

That also drove them mad to push for more kills and feeding. But the best way was by feeding other pure creatures, especially humans.

Gradually the Abhorrent Rabbit fed more than 5 humans and also countless other pure animals and some other Abhorrent Creatures.

With more feed, the creature levels up from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... to 10. But sometimes when it feeds on Abhorrent creatures it regresses in level. Two things were required for a successful level-up, Pure Flesh and Abundant Water.

After what seemed like years it reached level 10. The core has reached its maximum power. And then the desire to be pure overwhelmed its being and then it underwent a tremendous transformation and became more normal than the mishmash abomination it was previously.

It regained its smooth soft coat of rabbit and some of its features. However it can't be a rabbit again because it has so many genes in its body, it had to adjust to it. But that was better than nothing.

It became more intelligent and gained more desire to become pure, exploded and multiplied more than ever. However, normal humans and animals were no longer able to satisfy that progression.

This was when Abhorrent Monsters were recognised and called Gawee Monsters.

Gawee Monsters were the normal and accepted species of creatures populating the Gawee Continent.

Seth woke up from the memory with more understanding of their nature.

Abhorrent->Gawee Monster->Gawee Beast->Unknown

When normal animals were contaminated they fought to be pure again but in a brutal way possible and the end result was unknown. Gawee Monster Core doesn't have information beyond Beast.

But one thing was sure, they might be evolving to be normal but they were also overwhelmingly powerful. Even among Gawee Monsters, some were terrifyingly powerful that can face baby dragons head-on.

And the easiest way for Gawee Monster to become Gawee Beast was to feed on a dragon or something of that calibre.

The thing was the energy still passed through Seth before it reached the tattoo and that caused more problems for Seth as his body began to peel off and his heart stopped beating.

However, First Might does not let Seth's Health Status register as dangerous or fatal. At the same time, Seth's body was being altered slowly.

The Ostrich Size egg ends up losing its energy completely, Seth's body on other hand was charred black. Inside the Egg was some complicated pattern that Seth wasn't able to decipher due to the dullness of his head.

Seth felt something crawling on his body and it went through his hand until it reached his palm that was holding the Ostrich size egg.

An invisible worm drilled out from Seth's hand. And it put its suction tube mouth on the yellow egg and began to suck it, strangely the worm's mouth expanded like rubber and kept swallowing it.
