Chapter 1097 - 1098: The Fire Wolf's Solution

Chapter 1097 - 1098: The Fire Wolf's Solution

"If the wolf can evolve into a Three-Tailed Scarlet Wolf, won't the Earth Will turn against him?" was the first thing that came to Idan's mind. But he quickly dismissed the thought.

All six types of True Fire were just different manifestations of the same element. Therefore, if they managed to master this type of fire, the Will of the Earth probably wouldn't turn away from them.

Noticing that the wolf, in addition to actively wagging his tail, began to move his paws, losing patience, Idan decided to tell him about four possible paths of his evolution.

"Okay, buddy, listen carefully," Idan began.

"The first path available to you is the path of a Gigantic Fire Wolf of ordinary rarity."

Not only the wolf, but everyone else listened attentively to Idan, and everyone understood what he was talking about.

When Idan described the first path, the wolf tilted its head, and Idan continued: "The second path is the evolution of a rare Lava Shell Wolf."

As Idan expected, the wolf, after listening to all the details, quickly shook his head, indicating that this path was not suitable for him.

"Well, the third one is the path to the evolution of the epic rarity, the Three—Headed Hell Wolf."

Upon hearing the name of the third path, the wolf immediately decided to choose it, without wasting time on studying the descriptions and necessary resources. The existence of the fourth path also flew out of his head.

It was the desired form that he aspired to.

The power and strength he possessed as a Gatekeeper was exactly what he needed.

"Wait, buddy, don't rush to make a choice. Listen to me first, okay?" Idan struggled to get the wolf to sit down in front of him again.

Then he described the path of evolution, and as the wolf listened, his confidence grew.

Idan noticed that the wolf was not bothered by the necessary resources.

[Reward for the temporary Host event]

And then the System came to the rescue.

[With a high probability, all the beasts received as a reward the opportunity to evolve into the forms they possessed as Gatekeepers]

[All they need now is to gain access to the Breakthrough Hall]

"This is it..."

Idan stopped in mid-sentence, struck by a sudden realization.

"Wait, so even without my help, they can all evolve into those forms?"

"All they need is access to the Dungeon and the Breakthrough Hall?"

His gaze fell on the agitated wolf, and he remembered the fourth unique path. Idan quickly linked this to the task of the System: "To help the seven chosen beasts of the World evolve."

"The System already knew about my interest in True Fires back then. It probably noticed the potential of the beasts to master these powers even then."

In other words, Idan realized that his task was to help all these seven beasts evolve along the fourth unique path of evolution.

Since all Systems are connected to the World, and the World is able to interact with the Awakened through the Systems, Idan's last doubts about the fact that the World might not like the evolution of Beasts with the help of the True Fires of the World of Fire were dispelled.

Now that Idan knew his target, he turned his attention back to the agitated wolf.

"Buddy, I see that you really want this particular path?" - he asked.

The wolf nodded vigorously.

"I also think this path is good," — Idan agreed. Then he reminded me, "But, buddy, have you forgotten what I said? I told you that you have four paths of evolution, not three."

The wolf tilted his head and blinked his eyes.

Idan, amused by the wolf's behavior, asked:

"Before you finally choose the third path, don't you want to listen to the fourth?"

"I assure you that the fourth path is not inferior to the third, and maybe even surpasses it."

Not only the Wolf, but all the other beasts were surprised by his words.

"Vrarr," the Wolf barked, agreeing to listen.

"Good," Idan smiled. Then, coughing, he said, "The fourth Path of evolution is a unique path, and it's called the Three—Tailed Scarlet Wolf."

"Ow?" — The wolf tilted his head to the other side, and his tail stopped wagging.

"As you might have noticed from the name, my friend, this path requires you to master the Scarlet Fire," Idan explained. "To master one of the six True Fires of the World of Fire."

The wolf froze in amazement upon hearing such a revelation.

Idan, after giving him time to recover, shared the description and the necessary requirements, resources, and ritual for evolution.

"So, my friend, what will you choose? Follow the epic path of the three-headed Hell Wolf and terrify your enemies, or would you rather become a three-tailed Scarlet Wolf? Master the power of your enemies and become the epitome of disaster for them?"

"There's no need to worry about resources and finding the real Scarlet Fire," Idan assured, noticing the wolf's doubts. "As I promised, I will get both the resources and the Fire itself. It all depends on you: do you have the courage to stand up to the true fire and not only not lose to it, but also bend it to your will?"

The wolf's body began to tremble slightly.

He knew how powerful and dangerous the Scarlet Fire was. It's not for nothing that one sixth of the Eastern Continent is under its influence.

The thought of mastering this power both frightened and excited the wolf. Use the power of your enemies against them…

He longed for it.

Gradually, desire began to prevail over fear. Like a beast hungry for power, he understood that the fourth path offered by this man was much more attractive than what he had previously aspired to.

At that moment, the wolf felt a familiar feeling inside him, which seemed to be pushing him to choose this particular path.

This was the last argument that forced the wolf to agree to Idan's proposal and resolutely choose the fourth path.

"Awww!" the wolf howled, confidently confirming his choice.

Idan couldn't help but smile at the wolf's courage and determination.
