Chapter 678 The Girl and The Relay Feed

The girl crouched and started to pick the lock, and even though Pat knew that he could just barricade the door and prevent her from getting in using the bed or something else, for some reason, he didn't do it. He had no idea why, but he wanted to see if she could really do it.

At that moment, Pat found this girl to be interesting.

It was a strange feeling, and Pat didn't even know where it came from, but he didn't do anything but watch the girl as she worked on the lock with her tongue sticking out from the side of her mouth.

'She actually did it?'

It took the girl five minutes to pick the lock. That was twice as long as it took Pat, but even that was very impressive in its own right, and Pat scoffed as he felt a little impressed by her!

The door swung open forcefully, and the girl walked in with a wide smile on her face and put her hand on her waist while declaring toward Patrick!

"I told you I could get in if I wanted! So you're the – Wait! It's You!?"

The girl suddenly shouted loudly once she saw who it was that was sitting in the room, and Pat winced from the high pitch of her voice as he felt his eardrum shake! The girl immediately ran into the room, and Pat frowned in anger as she got too close to him!

"What the fuck are you on about, you crazy bitch!? Do I fucking know you!?"

Pat held up his laptop as a shield and eyed her wearily, but the girl didn't even seem to notice his action as she continued talking animatedly!

"You're Patrick Grey, aren't you!? You–You bastard! Who the fuck do you think you are!?"

Patrick's anger shot to a whole new level!

"I'll beat you one day! I swear I'll beat you, you bastard!!"

For a few seconds, Patrick was too shocked to tell her to get the fuck off of him. He just looked up into her enraged eyes and wondered what the fuck he had gotten himself into with this girl, but then at the next moment, he gained his sense back and growled while pushing her off!

"Get the fuck off me!"

The girl cried out as she was thrown back from him, and Pat blinked as she sprawled out unceremoniously on the ground. Wow, she was weak as fuck. Patrick didn't think he would ever see anyone who was weaker than him since he never goes out that much, but even he had more strength than this girl. She had to be at the very pinnacle of the NEET lifestyle. No gym, no sun, low carbs and lots of sugar. That was most likely what her hygiene looked like.

The girl slowly sat up and used her hand to rub her hip with a few tears at the edge of her eyes.

"Y-You bastard. No one ever taught you how to handle a lady?"

Pat scoffed.

"I don't see any ladies here. All I see is a crazy bitch that broke into my sanctuary and attacked me for no reason. Now leave, I'm busy."

The girl's eye trailed toward Pat's laptop as she heard him say this, and it widened as she saw that there were hundreds of video feeds going straight into the laptop from all around the hall. Did Pat manage to break into all the cameras!?

The girl stood up while talking.

"Holy shit, you got all the feeds to converge in one IP network? Did you use a relay? I was trying to do this, but I couldn't get the signals to merge without them finding out what I was doing."

Pat blinked at her statement before he shook his head and said he didn't use a relay.

"There's a backdoor in the network from work I did a few years ago. I was able to reaccess it using my IP address and redirect their signals to a feed I created. So basically, I'm getting the real feed, and they're getting a feed that I'm feeding them."

The girl exclaimed in shock as she moved to sit beside Pat. Pat frowned in annoyance as she leaned against him and looked at his laptop like it was some sort of holy grail. The girl watched the feeds for a few seconds before she spoke up again.

"So that's why I couldn't get through to the feeds with my algorithm. I was trying to break into a field that didn't exist anymore. If you redirect it like this, you're basically ensuring that no one else can get access to the camera while giving the hall a sense of false security! That's amazing!"@@@@
