Chapter 607: An Attack From Both Sides

Mark had been waiting for the Angels to arrive at just the right distance all this while. It had actually been Mark’s plan to use Rachael as a shield, and Mark grinned once he saw that his plan had worked. The Angels didn’t want to fire at him because they were afraid they would also hit Rachael.

Mark raised his hand into the air, and the innate skill of the [Gauntlet of the Thunder God] came to life as blue lightning arched across the sky. The Angels were already putting up their defenses as they realized what Mark was about to do, but that didn’t bother Mark at all as he summoned a bolt of lightning as long as a javelin into his arm before planting his foot and throwing it forward!

The lightning blitzed across the air and shot straight at the light shield covering the Angel ship, and at the same moment, a large barrage of dark spells was also fired from the demons’ ships toward the light shields!

BOOM!

The attack struck the shields from both sides, and the Angels holding up the shield all felt an intense strain as the shield shimmered for a moment before holding strong! The female captain of the ship looked up at Mark, hoping that he wouldn’t be able to use such a powerful skill more than once or twice, but her eyes widened as she saw Mark raise both hands in the air as two more lightning bolts appeared in his hands!

The Angels had prepared their spells, and the captain raised her hand and shouted the order to fire. Hundreds of light arrows flew out from the magic circles and soared toward the tower, and Mark only grinned as Rachael screamed in fright and started to beg even more! She didn’t want to die! She didn’t want to die yet!

"Please! Stop this!! I’m begging you! I’ll give you anything! My father is rich! He can give you anything! Just—AAH!"

Rachael suddenly screamed as she was pulled up by the chain, and Mark threw her behind him before he raised a hand towards the light spells! Rachael thought that Mark had gone crazy! He wants to stop so many light arrows with only his hands!?

But then the light arrows hit, and Rachael could only watch in shock as they slammed against Mark relentlessly before dissipating into nothing once they touched him! It was insane to see something so impossible happening, but Rachael couldn’t deny it. The demons lord was blocking light spells using nothing but his body! Was he immune to light spells!?

Once the light arrows died out, Mark shook his hand once to rid it of the tingling that appeared there. Mark only took ten percent damage from any light spell, so even though the spells didn’t hurt him, they were still enough to shake him up a little. But that was nothing compared to what Mark was about to do to these fuckers!

Mark raised his hand in the air and summoned his largest bolt of lightning yet! He grabbed hold of it like some sort of thunder god and slammed his feet into the ground before throwing it forward in perfect form!

The lightning bolt shot forward with all the fury of nature, and the tower that Mark was standing on finally gave out as it started to crumble to the ground. Rachael screamed in fright as she started falling through the roof of the building, but Mark easily grabbed the Fangs and dragged her up before catching her bridal style as they both fell. Rachael flinched the moment Mark touched her and thought he was going to hurt her, but she was surprised when she saw that Mark wasn’t even looking at her.

Mark had a wide grin on his face as he looked toward the Angel boat in the distance, and the lightning bolt had finally decimated the light shield!
