Chapter 518: Alpha Six
Chapter 518: Alpha Six
Sasha reached out for her connection to her Eldritch and cursed angrily when she noticed that the connection was gone! That bitch killed it! Sasha glared at Arit in anger and began to prepare to summon more monsters from her ALTERWORLD!
"This was all your fucking fault, you anima bitch! If you didn’t interfere, I could have killed that stupid ice bitch! You want to meet your ’KING’!? Well, too bad—he’s dead, you anima bitch! How about I kill you so you can both go fuck yourselves in hell!?"
Arit’s entire body began to vibrate in anger as Sasha said this! Her mana burst out from her in waves, and Sasha prepared herself as she felt the oppressive nature of Arit’s bloodlust pressing down on her! Sasha would never admit that the bloodlust was enough to make her think twice about attacking Arit.
It was like facing off against an Eldritch-class monster that had the intelligence of a human. No matter how you looked at it, it was terrifying. But it was only enough to make her think twice about it! Sasha was still going to kill this bitch!
Ka-Cha!
Phwip!
Stay tuned to empire
Phwip!
But before either of them could even move a muscle, the sound of something shooting across the air barely managed to reach Arit! At the last moment, when Arit was sure she was about to be hit by something, her instincts forced her to move her head to the side, and she just barely managed to dodge and avoid a massive sniper bullet that would have decapitated her!
The bullet traveled past Arit and slammed into the ground before detonating in a massive explosion!
But Sasha was not so lucky. Sasha had been completely focused on Arit. She was getting ready to summon more monsters after going through a battle against Luna that had taken up more than ninety percent of her mana and stamina. At this moment, Sasha was at her weakest, and unlike Arit, who had the natural reflexes of an anima even in her weakened state, Sasha did not have anything like that.
The bullet flew across the sky and struck true!
SPLAT!
BOOM!
BOOM!
The sniper bullet exploded once it made contact with the ground, and Arit quickly started to fly toward the woman! Alpha Six quickly reloaded her sniper gun in less than two seconds and raised it toward where she knew Arit was, but before she could pull the trigger, Arit was right on top of her!
"Bring back my KING, you fucking BITCH!!"
The world exploded in sand!
BOOM!
Sand poured out from every crevice in the area, tearing the building that Alpha Six had been standing on asunder as it surged to life like a living thing! The sand grabbed Alpha Six and also surged up to grab Arit! It poured out toward the area where Luna had been fighting against the last remaining calamity-class anima and grabbed hold of all of them.
Luna sighed once she recognized who the sand belonged to and she felt her heart rate calming down as she finally fell onto her back tiredly.
Luna had no idea what had just happened to Sasha, but she knew exactly who it was that was creating the sand. Luna raised her hand in thanks toward her vice-captain, and the man walked out to the edge of a tall building and he waved back at his captain before looking over the desolate landscape.
They had absolutely destroyed this place.
The vice-captain was a young man who looked to be in his late twenties. His name was Thomas, but everyone in the Moonlight Guild only called him Vice-Captain Tom. He had a small beard on his chin that matched well with his short black hair. He had red eyes and a nasty scar that crossed over the right side of his face, a scar he got from a calamity-class anima during a mission a long time ago.
Once Thomas came to the clearing, he saw Alpha Six shooting both Arit and Sasha, and he wasn’t able to stop her since he didn’t fully understand what was going on. But once he saw Arit charging toward Alpha Six, he knew he had to stop them. Alpha Six was wearing the same uniform as one of the soldiers who had joined them to fight in City S, so Tom knew that she was an ally.
And after the moonlight guild got news of Arit’s condition from Tina, Tom also knew that Arit was a fugitive wanted by the government.
Arit was still trying desperately to break out from Tom’s sand, but she was too exhausted to really do any damage to it. And since Tom was at full strength, he was able to hold her easily.
Although Alpha Six was being held tightly by the sand as well, she still had one free hand and she immediately used it to unholster a pistol and pointed it at Arit to shoot her in the head, but the gun suddenly started to freeze into a solid block of ice, and Alpha Six had to quickly let go of the weapon before her hand froze as well!
Alpha Six looked down and glared at Luna in the distance.
