Chapter 485: Preserving Danger

A large Anima that looked like a cross between a rat and some kind of prehistoric dinosaur suddenly appeared in front of her with its mouth wide open, trying to bite her! Arit felt heat on her back, and she knew that the hawk from before had launched another fireball at her.

’Idiots.’

Arit immediately swerved away and allowed the fireball to slam into the Anima in front of her before it exploded!

BOOM!

The Anima cried out in pain as it was thrown to the ground, and Arit turned around and shot towards the hawk before it could prepare another fireball! The hawk opened its mouth wide to shoot at Arit, but she grabbed it by the throat before bringing her fingers together like a knife and shooting her hand forward!

SQUELCH!

Her hand dug into the Anima’s body, and it cried out in pain before it fell to the ground once Arit let it go! The other Anima around felt their bodies shiver once they saw the way their comrade died, and some of them began to look towards Arit with fear, but Sasha’s control over them overrode the fear, and they shot after Arit once more to continue the fight!

’I’m hungry.’

What?

Arit was surprised when she heard the queen suddenly speak up in her mind. What the hell was the queen talking about?

’I’m hungry. I’m hungry. I’m hungry.’

She would come in, attack, and then move back, allowing the enemy to come after her again. That way, she could preserve mana and make sure she kept the enemy away from her.

But this time, Luna was fighting like a Vanguard. She was attacking without restraint, and the ease with which she could create her constructs was shocking! It was like Sasha was fighting a completely different person!

’I have to finish this quickly before Salazar and Gunter get back.’

Sasha growled in her head as she continued sending the weaker anima after Luna. The stronger anima that Sasha had were standing still behind her. Sasha had taken them from Salazar’s lab since she knew that the calamity-class monsters she had would not be able to put up a good fight against Luna alone.

There were two lower-ranked Eldritch-class monsters as well as one Elder Eldritch that Sasha brought with her, and both Gunter and Salazar had no idea that Sasha had taken the monsters. Gunter didn’t even know that Sasha was currently fighting against Luna since Gunter had given Sasha specific instructions not to go after Luna.

But Sasha didn’t care. She was sure that she would be able to kill Luna before Gunter and Salazar finished off GHOST, so they wouldn’t be able to do anything about it when they came back. If Gunter asked about what happened, she would just say that Luna attacked her first!

Sasha felt the Eldritch-class monsters behind her rumbling as they were eager to join the fight, but Sasha made them wait. Sasha didn’t want to use them yet because she knew that Luna had the ability to handle regular Eldritch monsters from that fight she and Mark had against Elder Eldritchs before.

Sasha wanted to make Luna waste some of her mana on the weaker monsters, and then when Luna was drained, Sasha would send in the stronger ones and use them to finish her off!

Sasha would have preferred to have this fight against Luna in her ALTERWORLD, but Sasha couldn’t go inside the world because she had already used her ability to send people in there. Your journey continues on empire

Sasha’s ALTERWORLD was only meant to hold anima as well as one person at any one time, which was meant to be her, but she could send multiple people inside the world as long as she sent them in as a group and brought them out as a group as well.

It was a glitch in the blessing that allowed her to send Mark into the world with Gunter and Salazar, but it also meant that she couldn’t go inside the world until she brought them out.
