This has nothing to do with any tactical thinking.
It was purely an intuitive reaction.
Ivy Beatrice just instinctively felt that she should do it now, so she did it.
As the two were locked in a stalemate, the scythe-shaped sword emerged like a venomous snake from the upper edge of the shield, striking Ivy Beatrice's head and face with lightning speed.
Ivy Beatrice slammed her foot against the shield, using the force to leap backward. Glendale's sword strike missed its mark, his forward momentum halted, and he found himself unable to mount a follow-up attack.
Taking advantage of the enemy's retreat, Glendale lowered his tower shield slightly, trying to assess the opponent's situation with his eyes.
However, as soon as he poked his head out, he roared and pulled his head back, a burst of blood erupting from his forehead.
As Ivy Beatrice jumped backward, she simultaneously swung her sword forward with both arms.
Glendale misjudged one thing.
If it were any other weapon, this would be completely futile. But what Ivy-Beate held in her hand was an exceptionally long greatsword, the Spellbreaker Mand!
The silver-blue sword tip swept across Grandel's forehead, slicing through his flesh, just a hair's breadth away from cleaving through his skull.
The blood flowing from the wound on his forehead gave Glendale a scarlet mask.
Before Ivy Beatrice could even land and steady herself, with Glendale's almost frantic roar, the violent torrent of fire struck again!
Just before the breath was about to strike, and a blazing red light flashed in Glendale's mouth, Ivy Beatrice darted to the left, as if to jump into the sea from that side to avoid it.
Glendale then turned his head, spewing out a stream of fire from his massive mouth, enough to melt rocks.
However, at that moment, Ivy Beatrice, who was about to be engulfed by the flames, seemed to have a premonition and turned to the right.
The blazing flames brushed past her, scorching the large towel tied around her waist and singeing a few strands of her hair.
Ivy Beatrice yanked off the large towel and let it be blown away by the wind and rain.
The long-awaited close-quarters life-or-death combat made her extremely focused.
Just now, it felt as if a door had been pushed open in my mind, and the profound truths within the Sword of Military Path initiation scroll flowed rapidly through my heart. The ability to dodge the fiery breath was precisely the Sword of Military Path's professional skill, "Combat Insight," which allows one to perceive all changes on the surrounding battlefield with an astonishing mind.
At this moment, the wind and rain intensified.
Ivy Beatrice adjusted her breathing and slowly raised her silver-blue greatsword overhead. Her emerald-like vertical pupils seemed to transform into two bright green flames, staring directly into Grandel's crimson eyes.
This is precisely the "punishment stance," a highly lethal stance in the Iron Heart Style martial arts.
With each breath, she felt power surging from every muscle in her body, and the steady, powerful heartbeat and the sound of blood flowing were clearly audible.
The demonic language written in silver light during the mental vision also subtly changed:

Lightning danced wildly like dragons in the dark clouds, and between the flickering light of the sea and sky, the stars and moon were obscured.
The wind howled and the rain poured down.
Without its mast and sails, the trimaran tossed and turned in the turbulent waves, constantly in danger of capsizing and breaking apart.
Ivy Beatrice stood atop the deck, her greatsword held high. The dark, misty magic surrounding her, known as "Evil Aura," made her glistening, snow-white body appear even more radiant.
A flash of lightning, and her eyes narrowed slightly.
Grandel on the other side made a move.
Suddenly, the strong, red-headed giant jumped up and landed heavily on the deck with a "thud," then leaped and bounded forward at high speed!
Amidst the violent rocking of the ship, Ivy Beatrice felt a tremendous force coming from beneath her feet, causing her legs to go numb and her body to be involuntarily thrown off the deck.
Before her feet even touched the ground, Grandal charged towards her with the force of a thunderbolt. The tower shield in his hand was like a wall, slamming into her head.
Ivy-Beate was still in mid-air and hadn't had time to regain her footing when she gripped the Spellbreaker Mand tightly with both hands and slashed down fiercely with a fierce roar.
The sword and shield clashed with a deafening roar.
Glendale was pressed down by this force, and his body paused for a moment.
Without hesitation, he gripped the sickle-shaped sword tightly, circled around the right edge of the tower shield, and swiftly hooked and stabbed Ivy Beate's left rib!
However, the sword could not be delivered.
Because Ivy Beatrice's second strike arrived first.
After she struck the tower shield with her sword, she used the impact of the sword and shield to deflect the blade and regain her sword momentum. Then she gripped the Spellbreaker Mand tightly with both hands again, let out a fierce shout, and slashed down hard with her sword!
Her arm muscles bulged, and with a fierce shout, she slashed with her sword.
Glendale gritted his teeth and struggled to maintain his shield-raising posture. After three consecutive sword strikes, his arms were almost too heavy to lift, so he immediately retreated steadily in a defensive stance.
While Ivy Beatrice wasn't as strong as him, she had the advantage of wielding the sword with both hands and delivering vertical slashes from top to bottom. With the "Punishment Stance" buff, each strike truly possessed the power to cleave mountains and split seas!
If it weren't for the layer of adamantite skin nailed to the surface of Glendale's tower shield, the man and shield would have been shattered by now!
Before he could catch his breath, he suddenly heard a buzzing sound.
Glendale roared, and countless fine cuts of varying lengths appeared on his body—a "blade barrier" composed of countless rotating force field blades that appeared and disappeared without a trace, just like a wall, appearing out of thin air on his side behind the tower shield, slicing his flesh ruthlessly.
If it weren't for the bronze tube sleeves protecting both arms, the hands that were holding the shield would probably have been torn off.
Glendale was covered in a spray of blood mist as he staggered backward, avoiding the "blade barrier".
Ivy Beatrice then realized that the countless wounds inflicted on this guy's body by the rotating force field blades had healed in an instant. The regenerative ability of the troll bloodline was indeed extremely powerful.
Glendale spewed hot air and sparks in anger.
He suddenly felt something was wrong, subconsciously turned around and glanced back, and was immediately stunned.
Before anyone knew it, another Ivy Beatrice, holding a sword exactly like the one above her head, was standing on the stern deck.
That was the projection technique of the six-armed serpent demon.
"Despicable! Magic!"
Glendale stared in horror as he saw the projection of Ivy Beatrice pointing her sword at him from afar.
In the blink of an eye, another "blade barrier" appeared out of thin air behind Grandel. Amidst the rising blood mist, it added countless more cuts to his body and pushed Grandel forward two steps, almost causing him to fall into the still-undissipated blade wall in front of him.
Enraged, Glendale couldn't tell the difference between reality and illusion and turned to rush towards the projection, Ivy Beatrice.
Just then, Ivy Beatrice's true form also pointed her sword at Glendale.
A third "Blade Barrier" appeared between the other two. The three rotating force field blade walls merged together, trapping Grandal within them.
But that wasn't all; the real body and the projection took turns using "Blade Barrier".
In no time, countless walls of rotating force field blades, both horizontal and vertical, crisscrossed, turning the deck into a sea of rotating force field blades!
Suddenly, the evil dragon scale stuck in Grandel's forehead shone brightly red.
The "blade barrier" within a twenty-foot radius of him vanished without a trace, and all magical effects were eliminated or suppressed.
Glendale grew larger and his mouth grew longer.
Ivy Beate saw that the lumpy, keratinized red scales had spread to Glendale's abdomen, covering his chest and arms. Spiral black bone spurs pierced outwards from his jawbone and cheekbone, as if small horns were growing around his face. Longer bone spurs also pierced the skin from each vertebra on his back.
The evil dragon's aura was a hundred times stronger than before.
The last shred of reason in Grandel's eyes was overwhelmed by his savage beastly nature, and his roar turned into the howl of a raging dragon.
Chapter 91 The Tyrant of Flames
Grandel raised his scythe-like sword and chanted complex syllables—it was clearly "Dragon Magic."
Ivy Beatrice racked her brains, searching through her memories of demonic knowledge, but couldn't find what the magic was. She could only vaguely discern that it was a buff spell that greatly enhanced melee combat effectiveness.
Glendale stopped chanting; the magic was complete.
He stared at Ivy Beatrice with his bloodshot, chaotic eyes, as if he harbored some deep-seated hatred. Several random, dim red lights swirled erratically around him.
Ivy Beatrice's heart skipped a beat, and she tentatively asked, "Hayslatti?"
But Glendale didn't react to the name at all, only roaring wildly, spitting everywhere.
Ivy Beatrice watched in horror as he suddenly charged at her, swinging his tower shield. Having lost all reason, he completely abandoned tactics, only knowing how to wildly smash and thrash whatever he held. But looking at the tower shield, taller than a man, casually swung in his hands, it seemed barely heavier than a piece of paper!
Glendale's tower shield was imbued with the "Dispel Magic" effect, causing the force field and rotating blades to disappear wherever it went.
Before he could get close, Ivy-Beate activated a high-level teleportation spell.
With his goal gone, Glendale was instantly lost.
He turned his head and looked around.
Lightning flashed across the sky, illuminating the sea and sky.
Suddenly, Glendale saw several heads of various sizes emerging from the cabin entrance at the stern of the deck. It was two little bubbles, Bear Gu and Gu Xiong, and Steo, the Medusa-like girl with a head full of emo-style snake hair.
Just then, a voice came from high above: "Here!"
Glendale looked up and followed the sound, and saw Ivy Beatrice standing atop the mast of a three-masted sailing ship, waving her greatsword at him as if beckoning in the raging wind and rain.
The lightning faded, and the world returned to darkness.
Glendale could still see the silver-blue sword light flashing in the dark sky.
However, his intense desire for the ruby fragments forced him to ignore her and turn his chaotic gaze back toward the cabin entrance.
Seeing that she couldn't pull the monsters, Ivy-Beate, standing on the mast crossbar, frowned slightly, sensing that something was wrong.
She cast a spell-like ability, "Projection," onto the bow deck of the trimaran.
Lightning flashed again in the dark clouds, illuminating the scene brilliantly.
Glendale extended his right hand to the girls and pets who were peering out of the cabin.
“Hand it over…” Glendale said with difficulty.
At this moment, he had something in both hands: a tower shield in his left hand and a sickle-shaped sword in his right. This gesture of reaching out to ask for something was seen as an act of retaliating with a sword, which appeared particularly ferocious in their eyes.
At this moment, Ivy-Beate's magical projection stood silently on the bow deck, hiding herself in the darkness.
--"hand over"?
She watched the scene unfold before her with a cold eye, lost in thought, and turned her gaze past Glendale to Medusa's sister, Steo.
Before he could say anything more, the heads of all the girls and pets shrank back in alarm.
Glendale roared and charged forward, taking three steps at a time to reach the stern deck. He turned his horned, red-scaled head toward the dark cabin entrance and opened his mouth to unleash a fiery breath into the cabin.
Just then, a huge black shadow suddenly rushed out.
Raphael, the Terrorclaw Monster, extended his enormous claws and hooked them around Grandel's neck, twisting them forcefully.
With a cracking sound of his spine breaking, Glendale staggered backward, swallowing back the fiery words that were about to escape his lips.
His head drooped at an odd angle. His cervical spine and vertebrae were twisted clockwise, and the skin on his neck had a spiral pattern, resembling a towel being wrung out.
The flames that failed to erupt turned into a molten, golden-red liquid. Tiny specks emerged from Glendale's nostrils and mouth, dripping onto the deck with a sizzling sound, burning craters and sending up thick black smoke.
Lightning flashed and thunder roared, the sea and sky flickering uncertainly.
Then Raphael, the Deinonychus, burst out of the cabin. The torrential rain soaked its beetle-like, glossy shell. To Grendel, the world seemed to freeze in time. With each shift in light and shadow, the Deinonychus drew closer.
The enormous claws viciously snagged on Glendale's neck, which had already been twisted into a towel.
This time, however, Glendale swung his tower shield, which resembled a door panel, and retaliated, striking the Devilclaw's body and head hard, causing it to kneel on one knee on the deck.
The scythe-shaped sword, like a bolt of lightning slicing through the darkness, swiftly cleaved the Terrorclaw monster's neck!
"Gurgle, gurgle"
With the sword only halfway through its strike, Grandal felt his arm grow heavier. The tip of the scythe-like sword involuntarily dipped downwards, landing on the dinosaur's shoulder, which was covered in a sturdy shell, and sparks flew.
