Reincarnated With The Degenerate System

Chapter 270: Establishing My Status 5

Chapter 270: Establishing My Status 5

The fake laughter around me kept going after that.People nodded at things that didn’t matter. They smiled at lines they didn’t even believe. Every word felt like it had already been approved before it left their mouths.

I stayed there a little longer, just enough to be seen, just enough to keep their attention where I wanted it.

Then it started to feel useless.

I walked through the edge of the mansion, past the polished halls and soft lights, until the sound behind me faded.

The air changed when I reached the courtyard.

A few lamps lit the space, but even their glow felt staged. The sky above was a painted darkness, too perfect to be real.

No stars. No wind that felt natural. Just a fake night built for comfort.

I exhaled through my nose.

"This place really sucks," I muttered

A table sat near the fountain. I pulled out a chair and sat down.

"Mr. Leon, may I join you?" Mira stepped to my side.

The Mayor’s granddaughter. The same one who’d looked straight through me before, when I wasn’t worth the effort of acknowledgment.

Up close, she was more beautiful.

Her dark eyes stayed steady. Not once did they show fear. Her face looked well cared for, like she had always lived in comfort. Nothing about her seemed touched by hardship.

It was clear she had grown up safe. While others struggled outside, she stayed protected from it all.

I didn’t hold it against her. Being born with a golden spoon wasn’t a sin.

But it did tell me exactly what kind of person I was dealing with.

"You want to keep me company," I said, less like a question, more like I was turning the idea over to inspect it.

Her smile stayed, though I caught a hint of discomfort behind it. She was used to being welcomed, not studied.

Maybe she was having a hard time understanding how someone from the slums, could just ignore her beauty so easily.

"I have to admit," she said, "I’m genuinely impressed. What you did earlier..." Her gaze moved over me briefly before settling back on my face. "I’ve met strong people before. None of them made it look that effortless."

I let the silence sit before responding.

"Impressed," I repeated, as if sampling the word.

"Thanks. But flattery’s a common currency around here. If that’s all you came to spend, I’m sure someone else will find it more valuable."

She opened her mouth, then closed it again. She recovered quickly.

"Then what would you find valuable, Mr. Leon?"

"Let’s cut to the chase." My voice dropped lower, rougher. "If you want me to notice you, you’ll need to prove your worth in more... tangible ways."

Her breathing hitched as I leaned in, close enough to feel the heat radiating from her skin. "Actions speak louder than words, don’t they?"

When she didn’t pull away, I captured her chin with my thumb and forefinger, tilting her head back slightly.

Her lips parted instinctively, and I traced their soft outline with my fingertip before slowly sliding it inside.

The wet warmth of her mouth welcomed me as her tongue tentatively brushed against my finger.

"Much better," I murmured, my thumb stroking the sensitive skin beneath her jaw. "Now show me what else that tongue can do."

She closed her lips around my finger, sucking gently as her tongue swirled around it.

I withdrew my finger slowly, a glistening strand of saliva connecting us before breaking.

"Kneel," I commanded.

"Wait... are you serious? You want me to blow you here? In the courtyard?"

"Serious?" I let out a low chuckle, the sound rough in the quiet darkness. "Look around you. The only people who matter are right here. The rest are just noise behind windows."

I tilted her head back, forcing her to meet my gaze.

"As for here... what’s wrong with here? The risk of a person in a window seeing you on your knees, seeing what a good girl you can be. Doesn’t that make it better? Doesn’t that make you feel more excited."

I saw the conflict in her eyes—the fear warring with the thrill, the hesitation fighting the desire.

"It’s alright. I know your grandfather won’t be angry. In fact, he’d be happy that you were able to do what he asked, right?"

Her eyes widened.

"How did you know?"

"I’m not stupid, Mira. I know he sent you here to seduce me."

The carefully constructed persona of the impressed, curious socialite crumbled.

"You’re right... but I’m not entirely against it. Watching you fight earlier made me fall for you. Can you blame me?"

She didn’t pull away from me. Instead, she leaned into it slightly.

Her eyes showed courage now, not the sheltered princess attitude I saw earlier.

"I don’t." I shook my head and let go of her. "Sorry. I insulted you earlier. My impression of you has changed."

"What was your impression of me before?" she asked.

"It doesn’t matter." I grabbed her hand and pulled her toward a darker corner of the courtyard, a place where no one would disturb us.

Before she could say anything, I kissed her.

Her lips were soft, but the response was anything but passive. She met my intensity with her own, her hands fisting in the fabric of my shirt, pulling me closer.

I backed her against the cool, rough stone of the mansion’s wall, my body pinning hers.

One of my hands slid from her waist up the curve of her back, feeling her shiver under my touch.

The other tangled in her hair, tilting her head to deepen the kiss, exploring her mouth. She tasted expensive, like champagne and something uniquely, thrillingly her own.

When I finally broke the kiss, we were both breathing heavily.

I then lowered her head and unzipped my pants.

She was momentarily stunned by the size of it, but ultimately took my manhood into her mouth.

"Fuck. That hit the spot."
