Chapter 164: Taking Advantage

"Did you hear about those insects that keep attacking us?"

"Yes! But lucky for us, Baktou works on a medicine to treat our plants. I just hope it works really well."

The two guards who were protecting the entrance to Baktou's new house muttered, but both of them looked rather confused.

"Hey, do you know why our leader Baktou is fighting Garnt? I heard they were like brothers before Baktou betrayed him. Do you know why?"

The other guard shrugged his shoulders as soon as he heard the first guard's words.

"No idea, but I don't really care. I'm well fed and we are given the chance to live like this, so I don't really want to question Baktou. If Garnt were the person that was feeding me, I would have probably supported him." He muttered those words and smiled. "That's how it works after all. Without any advantage, no one would stick to another person."

Their conversation alone showed how much Baktou managed to increase education within his own faction, following in Garnt's footsteps. To accomplish all these things, he had some extraordinary help within his faction.

While they were talking with each other, suddenly they heard a female voice in front of them and they quickly took a defensive stance because they couldn't feel someone approaching them, but seeing who it was, both of them quickly took back their weapon and opened the door.

"Kalina, come inside! Our leader is waiting for you." She gave them a bombastic side-eye, as they didn't show her any respect. However, she knew that the respect of useless guards was the last thing she wanted, unlike the man she was helping.

"Instead of talking trash, why don't you two keep your senses sharp? I could have killed both of you a thousand times while you were talking with each other. Do you want me to report about this to Baktou?" She went into Baktou's house after talking with the two men causing both of them to click their tounge.

"That pompous bitch! I can't stand her, I can't imagine why our leader is keeping that woman. She is not even that attractive for a woman."

"Exactly! I think they have something to do with Garnt. But what could we possibly do? Let's just hope the best for our village,"

Kalina, who possessed the acute hearing of a wild animal, obviously knew what they were talking about. However, she simply ignored them with a smile, dismissing them as Stone Age men who had been blessed by her professor, the one who initiated all of this. Even though she found herself inhabiting the body of a primitive woman, Kalina always considered herself a modern woman and consistently looked down on others, including Baktou.

Kalina swung open the door to Baktou's room without bothering to knock. The scene before her made her click her tongue in disapproval. There, in the dimly lit room, she witnessed Baktou entangled in a passionate embrace with Telvi, Baktou's wife.

"Ahhhh~ Baktou! You're too rough, please slow down," Telvi moaned in pain, but Baktou looked like he was going berserk, as he had saliva leaking from his mouth.

Then, a cocky smile came to her face, and she thought about how she could possibly use this situation to her advantage. She got the brilliant idea of releasing a few of the pets she had been breeding in her new lab, the one Baktou had helped her create.

"Garnt, I just want you alive, so if I kill your people, you wouldn't mind, right? Well, let's see how this goes." She left Baktou's house after saying those words. Inside Baktou's room, Telvi got up quickly and helped Baktou to relax.

"Are you okay, darling?" She asked with her face looking rather worried, and she quickly took some water and sprayed it on Baktou's face.

"It is hard! Telvi, I feel like my control is getting worse and worse every day. I'm scared," He muttered showing he wasn't okay, but Telvi didn't say much instead she just hugged him.

"You will be fine. Baktou, you will be fine, after all, you're the best husband and best brother Garnt and I could ask for. I'm always by your side, so don't worry. You will be fine," She said those words and hugged him even more tight.

"Telvi, do you think Brother hates me? Do you think my sister will forgive me after all this?" Baktuo asked looking at his wife.

"Baktou, you can't let these doubts consume you. Garnt may be angry now, but deep down, he cares for you. And your sister, she's family. Family forgives, no matter how tough it seems right now."

Baktou sighed, still visibly distressed. "I've done things, Telvi. Things that put everyone at risk. I don't know if I deserve forgiveness."

Telvi gently lifted his chin, forcing him to meet her gaze. "You made no mistake. Everything you did was right. I'm supporting you because I feel you're right. No one will understand you now, but once they get to know how great of a man you are, they will forgive you and love you again. I know that."

They were talking with each other, showing that they had indeed developed their relationship much more in these five years. However, the door of the room opened, and a boy with blond hair entered with a confused look.

"Father! You promised that you would play with me today, but you're here playing with Mom? Why are you two sweaty? I want to play this game too," the boy shouted, expressing his frustration at being ignored. Telvi just laughed at her cute son.

"Haha! Father will play with you today because he is free, but—" She then realized they were indeed not supposed to be seen like this, so she quickly decided to change the topic and get some time for them to change their clothes and wash their bodies from all the semen and sweat. "Sweetheart, wait outside for us! We will soon come. Father needs to change clothes,"

The blond-haired boy didn't understand why his father and mother were half-naked and sweaty, so after leaving the room he decided to ask from a servant what they were doing, only to be ignored with awkward smiles.

'Why are they acting like this is something strange? What is this? I quickly need to find out about this.'

The boy that and he started his own quest to find what his mother and father were doing without knowing it would bring him so much shock about his own body.
