Chapter 85 The Price of Watching the Show
Chapter 85 The Price of Watching the Show
Kakashi stared blankly at Uchiha Yoru lying on top of him, the image of Rin before her death flashing through his mind.
"How could this happen!" He once again felt an intense hatred for his own weakness.
Fortunately, the collapsed area temporarily blocked the enemy, and Kakashi quickly snapped out of his reverie.
He picked up Uchiha Yo and rushed towards the entrance at the fastest speed he had ever been.
Fortunately, they did not encounter any enemies along the way.
Uchiha Ye fainted from the pain, but has now woken up from it.
"Senior, find...find a room, I...I want to treat my wounds." She said intermittently, enduring the pain.
"Good." Kakashi's voice carried a hint of barely perceptible joy. "That's good, she's alright."
Kakashi found a room that was temporarily safe.
At the next stop, Uchiha Ye spoke up, "Kakashi-senpai, I'll take care of my injuries myself. You just need to stand guard at the entrance for a while."
"Don't push yourself. You probably can't even use Shadow Clone Technique right now."
"I've already left a shadow clone at the entrance; it can hold them off for a while." Kakashi's voice carried an unquestionable tone, completely different from his usual lazy one.
"Then I'll trouble you, senpai." Uchiha Ye silently turned his back. "You may begin, senpai."
After she finished speaking, she took out a handkerchief she was carrying and bit it.
Kakashi took out a medical kit from his person, arranged the contents one by one, and then looked at Uchiha Yoh's back.
"Bear with it!" Seeing the shuriken deeply embedded in Uchiha Ye's shoulder, his eyes darkened, he clenched his fist for a moment before slowly releasing it, and spoke up to remind him.
He took a deep breath, placed his hand on Uchiha Yoh's back, and pulled out the shuriken.
"It hurts..."
Uchiha Ye instantly broke out in a cold sweat. Fortunately, he had bitten his handkerchief beforehand, otherwise he would have definitely screamed and attracted the enemy.
"Waaah... I'm never watching a show again. The price is really too high." She grumbled inwardly before fainting from the pain again.
"I'm sorry." Kakashi tore off the clothes on Uchiha Hashirama's back, a dark glint flashing in his eyes.
He treated the wound gently, but occasionally brushed against the skin. "Luckily he passed out, otherwise it would be hard to explain." Kakashi breathed a sigh of relief.
Uchiha Ye's first thought upon waking up was, "Have we moved to another place? It's quite comfortable."
After she could see clearly, she found herself in Kakashi's arms.
She paused for a moment, then forced a smile and said, "Senior, please put me down. I'm fine now."
If Kakashi hadn't noticed the flash of pain in her eyes, he would have actually put her down. "Your wound is deep, so it's best not to move around too much."
Hearing Kakashi's refusal, Uchiha Ye looked somewhat surprised. She turned around and made another excuse, "Senpai, could I change my clothes first before we continue?"
"Okay." A blush rose on Kakashi's face, but fortunately, the mask covered it, and the light was dim underground, so even if Uchiha Yoh saw it, he wouldn't be able to tell.
Uchiha Ye took out a scroll containing clothing and selected an outfit that matched his own.
Otherwise, Itachi will definitely notice when she goes out, so it's best not to worry Itachi.
With a gentle tug, Uchiha Ye's clothes fell off. "What's going on? Has she been seen naked?"
She glanced down at the bandages wrapped around her body, and two blushes rose on her face.
Kakashi had already turned his head away and didn't notice her expression.
Uchiha Yoh quickly calmed down and changed her clothes, putting the damaged garment back into her scroll.
As for the fact that she was almost seen naked, she decided to play dumb.
After all, this kind of thing is quite common among companions, so she shouldn't make a fuss about it, especially since she didn't actually see it.
"Senior, I'm ready, you can go now." Uchiha Ye walked to Kakashi's side and said softly.
Before she could finish speaking, Kakashi swept her up in his arms.
"Kakashi-senpai... what are you doing?" Uchiha Ye exclaimed in surprise.
"Don't worry, it won't touch the wound," Kakashi said calmly.
Uchiha Ye was speechless. "Please, who mentioned the wound to you? Is it really okay for you to do this without even asking the person's opinion?"
She maliciously poked Kakashi's chest with her finger, seemingly in revenge.
As she poked him, Uchiha Ye recalled the incident when she ran into the wrong building that night. She saw Kakashi's muscles and, thinking about it, reached out and touched them. "Not bad... he's in great shape."
"So, does Kakashi actually like Rin or Obito?"
"And having been his neighbor for so long, I still haven't seen his true face behind the mask, which is truly lamentable."
Kakashi took a deep breath before speaking, "Ye, if you keep moving around, I can't guarantee what you might do."
Upon hearing this, Uchiha Ye blinked in confusion. "What did she do wrong? Don't jump to conclusions."
"Did she touch a sore spot?" She curled her lips into a wicked smile, then poked Kakashi's chest again with her finger as if it were a sin. "He saw my back, so it's not too much for her to just touch his pectoral muscles!"
No sooner had he committed the evil deed than Uchiha Ha was pinned against the wall, though a large hand protected his wound.
"Senior, what's wrong?" she asked, blinking innocently, turning her face away subtly. "The pressure is too strong; it's best to avoid the limelight for now."
Kakashi's breathing brushed against her ear, making her feel a little itchy.
"Kakashi, you have to hold back, she's still young." Seeing Uchiha Yoru's constant little tricks, Kakashi took another deep breath and barely managed to hold back.
Uchiha Ye glanced at her briefly, then quickly turned away. "Her eyes are terrifying, like she's about to devour me."
Little did he know how alluring her gaze was, causing Kakashi to fall completely in love, his lips brushing against Uchiha Yo's eyes.
"What's going on? What's this?"
"You want her eyes, to make a pair of Sharingan?"
"But that's probably unlikely, since she hasn't revealed her eyes to anyone yet."
Uchiha Ye's head was full of question marks. "She really didn't do anything just now, more real than real gold and silver, she swears."
"Who can tell her how to break this deadlock, whether to push away or stay still?"
Fortunately, it seemed that heaven knew of her predicament, and a huge shockwave swept over her.
Uchiha Yo was not seriously injured; Kakashi shielded him tightly.
"Kakashi-senpai, are you alright?!" she asked anxiously after the shockwave subsided.
Kakashi shook his head and replied, "It's nothing."
He then straightened up, his eyes scanning over Uchiha Yoru, and breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing that she was unharmed.
