Chapter 42 Selling Items

Chapter 42 Selling Items

Selling Items

Christopher and his group along with the other people from the different powers followed the servants into another part of the Auction house.

As they walked, Christopher used his Runic Insight and noticed that the "Servants" were actually made up of a congregation of runes, meaning they weren't actually people, but...

'Constructs. Interesting.' He resisted the urge to rub his chin as they were led into a large room.

The room had smaller rooms which had isolation magic on them and Christopher guessed that this was the place where the items they were going to sell were gonna be appraised.

Two of the servants gestured to him and his group to follow them, and they did. They arrived in one of the smaller rooms which was bigger on the inside by quite a lot as a result of spatial magic.

There was a large table in the center followed by all sorts of magical gadgets and such, Christopher guessed that these were used to ascertain the quality of what he desired to sell.

So without wasting too much time, he waved his hand and then a small heap appeared on top of the table.

There were swords, spears, and all sorts of weapons followed by different classes of armor ranging from leather sets to chainmail and heavy armor. Everything was of a different colour and gave off a faint luster. Each of these pieces of equipment were at the purple rank.

However, Christopher wasn't done yet. He waved his hand and several fruits, metals, talismans, and vials appeared among the heap.

Christopher naturally hadn't just been sitting around during this past month. Or rather, two months due to the time dilation within his dimension.

He'd spent a lot more time inside the Library and learnt quite a lot of things. Moreover he also grew his dimension a whole lot and there were many new things.

He forged many more sets of equipment that would be sold during the Auction, learned the art of potion making, and spent some time identifying the different types of materials within his dimension and what was more valuable than what. Including the fruits his trees naturally produced which he used to create all sorts of potions. The different ores in his dimension, and so on.

He'd also used his Runic skills to create several powerful talismans that each had miraculous effects. In short, he'd been busy.

And now the fruits of his hard work were displayed on this table.

The servants stared at him and then at the items on the table and he began to explain their uses and their ranks. With each one he explained, the servants used each item and then used a device to ascertain their rank to confirm what he said was true.

After a while, the entire heap had been accounted for and the Servants nodded in unison, seemingly satisfied.

One of them led Christopher out of the room and he noticed that he was among the remaining people still there, which wasn't surprising considering the number of items he'd put to be sold.

As it was the first item, the bids were still quite tame... well, as tame as 12,000 Stellar Coins were which was what the bow ended up being bought with.

There was no break as the next item was quickly bought on. This time, it was a small dagger.

The weapon was designed simply but was still quite pleasing to the eye. The blade was around the length of a forearm and the handle was green and covered with a type of soft leather.

"This is called the Unbound Dagger..." Christopher didn't hear Sinestra's voice as he immediately zeroed in on the dagger. This was because with his Runic Insight, he could see something interesting.

The Runes around the blade were Fate runes.

This really caught his interest. The only other time he'd seen Fate runes were around Princess Aisha and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't summon them. As such, the dagger that was surrounded by these Runes piqued his interest.

'Yeah I want that.' He thought as Sinestra said.

"The starting price will be 2,000 Stellar Coins and the minimum bid that can be raised will once more be 1,000." Hearing this, Christopher was surprised. He assumed something Fate related would be way more expensive. But he recalled the bits of the introduction Sinestra had given and realised that the description he gave the item was quite tame and had no mention of fate.

'They must not know it seems. Just my luck.' He Thought as was about to place a bid.

"5,000 Stellar Coins." Before he could though, the calm voice of the Elven Queen sounded out.

He looked towards her and saw her hand holding the sign up. Besides her, Aisha was staring at the Dagger with a heated gaze.

'Right, she's connected to Fate, so of course she would be able to see its true Value.' Christopher thought, not too surprised.

However, he had no intention of backing down. So without wasting much time, he held up his sign.

"9,000." He spoke calmly and the crowd turned to look at him in surprise.

The Queen and her Daughter also turned to him, Aisha furrowing her brows when she saw him.

"That's 9,000. Anyone else?" Sinestra said with a playful smile and the Queen stared at Christopher for a second later before saying slowly.

"14,000." She raised her sign and Christopher smiled behind his mask.

'Well, this is gonna be fun.'
