Chapter 172 Bad Memories
Chapter 172 Bad Memories
Bad Memories
Naturally, Vazar wasn't the only one who was caught off guard by the power of the meteor. The other Scions and their entourages had been subject to the aftershocks of the attack sent well, and their reactions weren't much weaker in terms of intensity.
"Th-This is...?!" Jenny exclaimed with wide eyes as the spatial ripple and aftershock washed over her group.
Once more, the turtle was forced to protect the entourage as many of the people among them would have become incapacitated if they endured the blow of the attack... it wasn't even aimed at them, nor was it the full thing, so it couldn't be called an attack.
Instead, the stray could have seriously injured and incapacitated them. Such a thing would have irritated Jenny to no end, even more so considering that they were just about to enter the blizzard.
However, she couldn't focus on any of this.
Slowly, her breaths started to get hoarse, and her pupils trembled. She started to grit her teeth, and her brows were knit together. She ignored the pain in her arms as she clenched her fists tightly.
Then, her Aura erupted in full force, startling everyone in the entourage. It was wild and unrestrained, a clear indication of her untamed emotions.
'That's... Authority!' Immense hate filled every fiber of her being as she recognized the strange energy that followed the terrifying impact.
Authority, the same authority that made the life of one of her loved ones a living hell. The same authority that forced her to seek out nascent hearts that could help keep that person alive.
The same authority that forced her, the proud Scion of the Domitor Clan, to hide for fear of her life.
'I'll kill them!' She swore in her heart.

"But that's impossible." Constella stood straight as she stared forward with a look of genuine shock in her eyes. Shock, and a hint of fear.
Her calm and collected demeanor was nowhere to be seen as she stared forward with that same expression. However, no one in the room or the seers could see or detect what she was seeing, so everyone was both stunned that she had been startled so strongly and uneasy towards whatever could have startled her so strongly.
'An Arbiter... but how? That should be impossible! An Arbiter has no business in a place like this! Did I sense wrong? No, that energy, there's no way I can forget it. Moreover, the energy released from that attack just now, unless it's a Sovereign, an Arbiter is the only possible cause. But... why... why would one be here?' Constella thought with shock and bits of horror. Stay updated via My Virtual Library Empire
Memories of how her father and all the elders in her clan, beings she saw as untouchable, were brought to their knees by a single entity.
They hadn't used some overwhelming Aura, they hadn't used some powerful technique either. No, it was a rule.
A rule that ensured that any being in the presence of the entity would be brought to their knees. An inviolable rule which none could defy. Including Constella herself.
She'd know, she was there after all.
After that, a massive explosion took place, and if anyone witnessed it, they wouldn't have witnessed anything, as sound, light, and color were completely removed as the meteor landed.
The force was so terrifying that base concepts such as those had no hope of surviving the aftermath.
Slowly though, the concepts started to repair themselves, and soon the scene of destruction started to become apparent.
It was a hole.
That was the simplest way to describe it.
A hole as deep as a medium-sized star sat there, looming like a black abyss.
Around its edges, various cracks that seemed small from a distance but were in fact as wide as several planets lined up together spread out with an inestimable depth.
It was a scene of utter destruction.
As for the perpetrator, well, he was nowhere to be seen.
Christopher had dashed forward the instant every entity near him was killed.
He felt his overwhelming excitement dim when he Ed so many at once, confirming that he needed to kill more to sate his strange state.
He had no intention of doing such however as he immediately shot through the Blizzard at terrible speeds.
He didn't intend to give the entities time to gather up and slow him down like before. Now he focused his attention on moving in a straight line as quickly as possible.
In order to make sure he wouldn't slow down even if an entity spawned in front of him, he used Scarlet to create the image of a red arrowhead in his front.
It was a simple solution, but an effective one. Coupled with annihilation Insight, any entity that appeared in his oath would be erased totally the moment they came into contact with the spear head.
As such, Christopher got the feeling similar to watching flies splatter against the windshield of a fast moving vehicle.
He had no idea just how impactful his actions had been, and he had somehow managed to trigger varying degreesof trauma for the three people that were meant to be the strongest within this hidden realm.
On the flip side, Aisha and the other seers were still reeling from having their ability to see into fate abruptly cut off. It happened with such force that they suffered a mental blow, but they quickly started to recover.
When Aisha was coherent enough to think properly, she felt two emotions, awe and fear.
Awe because all it took was a single attack from her master to cause such long lasting and widespread damage to the hidden realm, and fear for the exact same reason.
