Chapter 173: Game

Chapter 173: Chapter 173: Game

Although Alex's unexpected participation surprised everyone, they quickly refocused. After all, they were eager to finally use the strength they had honed over the past month to utterly crush their rivals from Kyoto Jujutsu High. Their excitement was palpable.

When Yuji Itadori appeared, alive and well, and having trained hard during his time away, the team's morale soared even higher.

Soon after, the Tokyo team arrived at the designated meeting spot, where they came face to face with the Kyoto Jujutsu High team.

Led by an elderly man, the Kyoto students stood behind him, ready for confrontation.

As the two sides faced off, Aoi Todo, who had previously been brimming with arrogance, visibly shrank back the moment he laid eyes on Alex. The enthusiasm he had shown during their last meeting was nowhere to be seen.

Alex turned to Megumi and Nobara, curious.

"What exactly did you do to Todo to make him this terrified?"

While the Tokyo team's spirits were soaring, the Kyoto group was noticeably subdued. The announcement of Alex's participation in the exchange event had dashed any hope of their victory.

If even Satoru Gojo couldn't stand against Alex, what chance did they have?

Principal Gakuganji of Kyoto narrowed his eyes at Alex, voicing his displeasure.

"Even this guy is joining the battle—isn't that a bit too much?"

Before Gojo could respond, Alex smiled faintly, narrowing his own eyes.

"What's too much? I'm a student too, aren't I?"

The Tokyo students immediately burst out laughing, with Gojo laughing the hardest.

He had always disliked the old principal but had been forced to tolerate him due to the rules. Alex, however, was different. If Gakuganji tried his usual tactics on Alex, he was bound to regret it.

Hearing Alex's words, Gakuganji furrowed his brow.

His original plan had been to order the Kyoto students to kill Yuji Itadori during the exchange event and destroy Sukuna's three fingers. But with Alex now participating, such a plan was doomed to fail.

Gakuganji spoke gravely:

"The purpose of the exchange event is to help students from both schools improve. If you participate, the match will become a one-sided massacre, defeating its original purpose."

Alex waved his hand dismissively.

"Oh, I see. And here I thought you had some ulterior motive.

Relax. As long as none of you target me during the event, I won't attack you. My main goal is simply to enjoy watching the battles up close."

Gakuganji opened his mouth to argue further, but Alex suddenly appeared right in front of him, towering over him with a cold gaze.

Placing a hand on Gakuganji's head, Alex's tone turned icy.

"Listen, old man. Have I not been polite enough?

Let me make this clear: I will participate in this event. Even if you wanted to withdraw now, I wouldn't allow it.

Did you hear me, old man? One more word, and I'll crush you like a bug."

Gakuganji's frail body froze. The tangible killing intent emanating from Alex left no room for doubt—if he continued to resist, Alex would absolutely kill him.

Realizing this, Gakuganji dared not bring up Alex's participation again. Instead, he attempted to deflect:

"Is this how you treat an elder?"

Alex smiled and pressed his palm down with force, pinning Gakuganji into the ground like a nail.

He then turned to Gojo and asked,

"Grandson, tell this old geezer who I am."

Gojo raised his hand enthusiastically and shouted, "Grandfather Alex!"

Alex turned back to Gakuganji, placing his foot on the principal's bald head and grinding it. Crimson streaks of blood began to trickle down from Gakuganji's scalp.

Mockingly, Alex said, "In terms of seniority, I'm probably older than you. Elder? You're not even qualified to call yourself that!"

The Kyoto students wanted to step forward to assist their principal. However, as they approached within five meters of Alex, it was as if they hit an invisible wall, unable to move forward.

Confused, they reached out, only to feel a solid, intangible barrier. Their hands trembled from the force.

Suddenly, the invisible wall expanded rapidly, pushing the Kyoto students back and pinning them against a distant wall.

Before they could figure out what was happening, the Tokyo students, familiar with Gojo's abilities, exclaimed,

"Infinity!?"

Indeed, the Kyoto students' plight was the result of running into Alex's Infinity. But there was disbelief in their eyes. Until now, the only known user of the Infinity was Gojo, and his effective range extended just one meter.

Juzo licked his longsword, his face growing increasingly twisted.

"How lucky. The barrier isn't even up yet, and we've already found prey!"

Haruta gripped his dual blades tightly, his expression contorting further as he exuded a violent, bloody aura. "Yes... yes!

Juzo, we can't kill him too quickly. We must torture him for as long as possible!"

The two ran swiftly toward the sound of approaching footsteps. Juzo was the first to reach the corner but suddenly stopped in his tracks.

His abrupt halt caused Haruta to crash into him.

Annoyed, Haruta grumbled,

"Juzo, what are you doing? We need to incapacitate our prey quickly, or it won't be any fun!"

Juzo didn't respond. He remained frozen, staring blankly ahead.

Sensing something was off, Haruta turned to look as well. What he saw made his blood run cold—a white-haired man with eyes slowly approaching them.

Haruta gasped,

"Gojo Satoru!

Wait, no... Gojo wears a black uniform. This is... the God, Alex!"

Realizing who stood before them, Haruta began trembling uncontrollably, mirroring Juzo's earlier reaction.

Overwhelmed with excitement, Haruta grabbed Juzo in an embrace and exclaimed, "Juzo, do you see this? The strongest man alive is standing right in front of us! I can't wait to kill him!

I want to hear him scream in agony, to see him writhe in pain!"

Yet no matter how passionately he spoke, Juzo didn't reply.

Confused, Haruta turned to look at him, shaking him repeatedly.

"What's wrong, Juzo? Are you so excited you can't move?

Get it together! This isn't the time to freeze up!"

After being shaken for a while, Juzo finally regained a sliver of clarity from his overwhelming fear. He muttered under his breath,

"We can't win... We have no chance of winning..."

Suddenly losing control of his emotions, Juzo frantically retreated. Unable to maintain balance due to sheer terror, he resorted to crawling away on all fours.

"He's a monster... We can't fight him... He'll kill us!"

Haruta was stunned. Only now did he realize Juzo wasn't trembling with excitement—he was paralyzed with fear.

Then, as if a revelation struck him, Haruta turned and fled without hesitation, leaving the petrified Juzo behind.

Haruta knew that Juzo had an uncanny ability to survive. If even Juzo was this terrified, then something truly terrifying was about to happen.

Deciding he valued his life more than pride, Haruta abandoned any thought of fighting Alex and fled as far as he could.

But just as Haruta had fled dozens of meters, a figure appeared in front of him—a white-haired man with a playful smile, holding a glowing white singularity in his hand.

Alex's voice was teasing yet chilling.

"Leaving so soon? Stay a while, and let's play a game."

The next moment, Haruta felt an eerie numbness in his limbs. Glancing down, he realized his arms and legs had been obliterated by the glowing singularity, reduced to nothing but dust.

Not far away, Juzo, who had suffered the same fate, landed alongside Haruta in a massive pool Alex had conjured. The pool was 100 meters wide, 10 meters deep, and filled with seawater from the One Piece world. A few massive crocodiles swam ominously within.

Alex's playful voice echoed again,

"You have ten minutes. During that time, eliminate every living thing in this pool—except yourself, of course.

Survive, and you live.

Now... begin!"

In an instant, both Haruta and Juzo gathered what remained of their cursed energy, wielding their weapons with their mouths as they lunged toward one another.

Only one could survive. And in that moment, it was clear—an ally could also be an enemy.
