Chapter 464 All Zone

Chapter 464 All Zone

"First-year William, go ahead and attempt to create a Fusion Spell." Professor Tenningbrew asked from an unknown location. His voice was muffled, as if the darkness was consuming not only light but sound as well.

A Fusion Spell? Is that all he wants?

William almost laughed out loud, but he held it in. With a single snap of his fingers, two portals opened on either side of him, while simultaneously a small rock formed in his grasp. Using Space Mana to break the rock into dozens of tiny— and surprisingly sharp— shards, William sent everything through the portals at once.

Even if the Magic Homing Talent was active at this time, the shards had no target and crashed harmlessly against the sturdy walls of the classroom. The few scratches made by the rock shards were quickly healed by an unknown set of Arrays.

The other students and Professor Tenningbrew, unaffected by the darkness, watched with surprise as William easily completed the task. While the Professor noted down his performance, the others were left slack-jawed at William's insane speed.

"He can use Fusion Magic so well? That barely took a second! And he's even fusing Space and Earth Magic!" Jonathan Irisa exclaimed.

Next to him, Felmus Flamerium "What's so special about that? I can use Fusion Magic too..."

"Oho, really? Let's see it then!"

"It takes a while, give me a bit..."

"As I thought! I wonder if you could even fuse a Spell in under ten seconds, much less two!"

The room brightened up and William was able to see properly again. Considering his students' reactions, William guessed that he had shown a little too much talent with Fusion Magic.

Like the System said, though. I need to secure benefits. Maybe I can use this to my advantage... Maybe the Principal will give me Spirit Jades if he likes me enough! William's eyes lit up with greed and his lips curled up.

In the front of the classroom, the Professor gave him a thumbs-up gesture then waved for him to sit down. "Well done, William. I hope each of you can strive to improve your Fusion Spell casting speed until you rival this young man right here.

At this rate, I think I can see who the Distinguished First Year Student will be. You'll have to work extra hard this year to keep up!" Professor Tenningbrew's excitement could be seen on his face.

"What is it, Prof—"

"Wait a minute." Tenningbrew put a finger to his lips before the ferret on his shoulder jumped off, its sleek body scampering across the ground until it stopped at the back of the room.

Space expanded suddenly, increasing the size of the room to more than four times what it was before. As if keeping up with the room, the ferret also ballooned, pushing aside the desks and chairs that the students were sitting in.

Once it was around a hundred meters in size, the ferret opened its mouth and Professor Tenningbrew jumped inside, waving his hand at William to follow.

Gross. He wants me to jump inside that thing's mouth? William almost gagged at the smell of the ferret's breath, but he followed anyway.

The mouth closed behind William, but the interior of the ferret's mouth wasn't what he expected. It was brightly lit and didn't smell terribly at all! In his view was a fantastical room full of floating bookshelves, extravagant furniture, and dozens of little white ferrets running from place to place.

"Welcome to Ferret's Haven!" Professor Tenningbrew announced with a bright smile and his arms spread wide.

"What is this?" William asked in surprise. More importantly, why was the Professor showing him?

"Think of it as a Space Ring, and it'll make more sense to you. If you're familiar with the terms "Domain" and "Territory", you might also be familiar with the more powerful "All Zone". This is my All Zone, and it's just one level below becoming a Dimension like the Filem Academy."

All Zone? So that's what's above the Territory, huh?

"How does that work? What if you used a Dimension inside a Dimension?" William asked.

The Professor waved his hand in dismissal, "I can do it because the Principal allowed me to, but layering Dimensions is too dangerous if you're not using your own Mana. It's almost suicide, so if you ever gain access to a Dimension yourself, never try to cast it inside someone else's.

We're getting off track, though. I already told you that there's no need for you to practice Fusion Spells at your current ability, so I thought I'd find you something to do in the meantime.

How would you like to visit a Dungeon?"
