Chapter 443 Sunrise, Chaotic Storage
Chapter 443 Sunrise, Chaotic Storage
Oh right, I have yet to name my first World. William thought as he looked at the pea-sized object orbiting Efretta without much of a purpose.
This is my Origin World, so I'll simply name it Sunrise, representing the start of a new day. There's no need to be complex with matters like these.
With complete authority over the Worlds like Efretta and Sunrise, William found that he was able to better manipulate what was within. He could even spend a large amount of his Mana to personally Descend into the World as long as he restricted his own strength.
He had no intention of doing this now, but William started by reaching out and plucking Efretta's body from the ground of the Dragon Continent and placing her in an abandoned home a few kilometers away. Your adventure continues at empire
With a hint of Plant and Earth Magic, William constructed a comfortable enough bed for her to rest, then retracted his senses and summoned Atticus to his side. Until he was completely confident of their safety, William didn't want to upgrade Atticus, but he could at least bring the big guy along.
"Atticus, can you reduce your size? We might need to enter a human city and you're too eye-catching right now."
"Yess, Masster." Atticus slithered through the air and performed a small loop before turning into a half-meter snake that curled up William's arm and sat on his shoulder just like old times.
William was surprised at the Mythical Rat Snake's obedience, but then the scent of smoke made him crinkle his nose.
"Are you really going to smoke your pipe here? You're addicted to that thing." William said as he plucked the illusory pipe from Atticus' mouth.
"Give it back! It makes me feel cool." Atticus complained for a moment, then conjured another identical pipe with the Illusion Element and stuck it in his mouth.
William looked at the entire process speechlessly, wondering where Atticus could have picked up such a bad habit. He plucked the pipe away a second time and said, "Not while I'm around. You can use your pipe anywhere else but near me."
The city had one large entrance in the front, and he could see the edges of another on one side, so William guessed that it probably had one on each of its sides. Just a kilometer away outside the Arrays were massive convoys of carriages, which seemed to originate from large, permanently open portals not far behind them.
The same went for the carriages that left the city. They would pass through these massive portals and go to some unknown location where their travel would be hastened.
This is genius! If that Magical Beast I found is only in the Ascension Realm, there are probably plenty of much stronger Beasts out there. The normal people couldn't possibly deal with them, and would normally have to hire powerful guards.
But with the portals to teleport them past the most dangerous zones, they can avoid all the hassle without paying absurd amounts of money. William gleamed, though he couldn't verify the last part.
For all he knew, the cost to enter these portals could be quite steep.
William approached the city one step at a time, careful to avoid the carriages that passed through the portals next to him. His neck craned upwards as the sheer height of the city overwhelmed him, the tall spires at the edges even reaching towards the limits of his own vision.
What is that? Two hundred kilometers or so above the ground? This place is fit for giants! William wondered why people would need such tall walls. He understood why the Array existed, but who or what were they trying to keep out?
As William approached the city gates. His attention was drawn away by a seemingly simple System message.
-Your World, Reius, is on the brink of destruction.
What? Already?!? William frantically peered inside his Sea of Consciousness and extended his senses further downward to where Reius was located.
It wasn't long before William understood the situation, since there were literal nuclear missiles actively flying from one side of the World to another. In just a few minutes, Reius would probably be no more.
