Chapter 429 Frostile
Chapter 429 Frostile
As the time passed, William found himself committing more and more time to his Cultivation. He quickly progressed to the peak of the Soul Formation Realm, his Talents and the effects of the Ascension Dragon Tears offsetting the majority of the Ultimate Tribulation's damage.
The Heavens had reached the limit of how strong they could make the Tribulations long ago, so William was unperturbed even after reaching the Tribulation Transcendence Realm. Better yet, the System no longer needed to help him absorb the Superior Cores, so he could absorb them himself while simultaneously Cultivating.

Yuming continued studying Alchemy, and with the occasional tips from William was able to refine peak Tier 8 Pills. He was still very far behind the others in terms of combat power, but Yuming had become a renowned Alchemist of his own, praised as a talented youth beyond his years.
Carl saw the greatest improvement among the group. His Heavenly Mark became stronger and stronger over time, allowing him to contract more and more powerful Magical Beasts as his Cultivation grew.
With the constant battles between Magical Beasts and Heavens' call for supporters, Carl learned how to resist the commands and remain in control of his creatures. He regularly visited the battlefield where Fria and William's Beasts fought, collecting tens of thousands of peak Magical Beasts and storing them into a series of extremely intricate scrolls.
When William and Fria reached the old Revista Faction's palace, the group was enjoying a banquet consisting of hundreds of rare Spirit Food sourced from Magical Beasts. It seemed that Fria's efforts were quite beneficial to the World's food supply.
"Will! You're back!" Charlotte dashed from her seat and ran to William with an open-armed hug, casting a suspicious glance at Fria in the process.
Charlotte had seen William only a few months before, but for a girl her age that was an extremely long time. Not many could withstand being away from their partner for so long, and Charlotte was no exception.
It didn't help that Fria was with William last time, who had been left behind to fight Magical Beasts during his previous visit.
Her only source of solace was that William's feats regularly spread around the World. No matter where she was or what she was doing, she always knew what William was up to at any given moment.
Only when he swapped from one Continent to the next to absorb different Superior Cores would she briefly lose track, but his strength was so absurd at this point that Charlotte had no reason to fear for his safety.
"Who is this?" Charlotte asked with narrowed eyes, her icy tone lowering the room temperature by a few degrees.
William followed Charlotte's gaze to Fria, who was looking at Charlotte in almost the same manner. The only difference was that Fria actually had an Affinity for the Ice Element, so the temperature dropping was literal.
"This is my sister, Fria. Fria, this is Charlotte, my..." William explained quickly before any misunderstandings could form.
"Friend. We're friends." Charlotte explained quickly before William could finish his statement.
Friends? But we spent the night together. William questioned in his mind. In the brief lapse of emotions, William accidentally used his Thought Transference ability, so Charlotte heard everything.
Her expression briefly switched to surprise before her eyebrows furrowed and she mouthed the words "we'll talk" to William.
From William's experience, this gesture was usually the worst sort of omen, but the exchange of words seemed to lighten the mood a little bit between Charlotte and Fria.
They quickly warmed up to each other and held a side conversation while William's other friends called him over to eat some Spirit Food.
