I'm The Devil

Chapter 45: Coriel And Nyx

Chapter 45: Coriel And Nyx

"I thought they say you are the strongest of you lots out here but I guess was wrong. So Nyx, the Primal goddess of the Night, what’s so special about you that draws me to you"

Hearing someone else’s voice in her domain that does to not belong to Erebus or any of her children, Nyx was shocked since she did not even feel the presence of the person until they spoke.

She turned around to see the woman who was with the three brothers in front of her devoid of any emotions on her face.

She found her to be weirdly familiar but she knew that she has never seen her before nor have any encounter with her and given the way she speaks and act, she is not from her Realm, maybe even the Cosmos, she must be one of those strangers that her fellow Primal gods were talking about.

"Are you one of the strangers from another Cosmos?" Asked Nyx who do not want to engage in any form of battle without knowing who she was going to face.

Yes, she was the strongest and most powerful Primordial but she also knows how to pick her battles and her instincts are telling her to run and never engage her in a battle.

Coriel raised a brow at her because this is not what she was expecting from Nyx "I thought you would have attacked me by now given I intruded into your domain but I thought wrong.

So let me introduce myself, you have earned at least that, my name is Coriel, one of the Arch Demons/Archangels and Lord of Hell, the Sin of Sloth and I am here because I felt something drawing me to you and I have coke to find out what it is. Can you help figure out what that is?" Said Coriel as she appeared in the face of Nyx who just stare wide eyed at her.

The woman before her was so otherworldly beautiful even to the extent of making her look ugly in her presence.

The purple hair, the purple pupils each compliments one another adding to her true beauty.

But what truly caught her eyes is the pure black Raven wings that was on her back.

It was as black as the darkest of nights and the abyss or something even she the personification of the night would not compare to, the sea of Chaos.

Chaos, something outside the Cosmos, a place where no one would dare to venture into because how terrifying it is which made them unable to leave their Cosmos as they are surrounded by a sea of Chaos ready to eat them alive the moment they step into it.

But one day she tried to see what was inside this sea of Chaos and decided leave her Cosmos. The moment she stepped out of the Cosmos into the sea of Chaos, she felt a terrifying presence inside as if beckoning her to come to them but she immediately turned around but was engulfed by a terrifying darkness which made her lose her consciousness.

Later she woke up inside her home without any recollection of how she got there in the first place and then she found this weird pendant clutched tightly in her hands, another mysteries she is trying to solve till this very day.

But after that incident, she felt herself become even more powerful than when she ever was making her the most powerful Primordial and a force to be reckoned with in the entire Cosmos but no body knew what she suffered from every waking second of the day, the trauma of venturing into the sea of Chaos scared her for the rest of her life.

Thanatos and Hades were exchanging blows after blows with Thanatos coming out on top as he was the better and more experienced fighter than Hades who was in his father’s stomach all his life.

But Hades did not give up and still continued his exchange with Thanatos even when he knew he was not getting the upper hand but with every passing second of their altercation, he knew he was getting better and with time he would have the upper hand against Thanatos.

Thanatos also knew this that’s why he wanted to end this fight with a decisive blow but Hades would not let him have the chance.

"For a new god, you are really annoying" cried Thanatos as he was getting frustrated with Hades.

Hades didn’t answer and dodged the attack coming his way.

Zeus and Poseidon were also having some difficulties as they are outnumbered but they are having it pretty well compared to Hades who was facing a second generation god.

Hades bent low when Thanatos threw a large blast of deadly energy ball towards him destroying what was behind him.

Hades with a burst of speed rushed at Thanatos who has let his guard down after he launched his last attack and stabbed him in his torso before getting away from him.

"For an old god, you are easily predictable" said Hades who smiled as he saw the injuring he inflicted on Thanatos getting bigger and deeper, one of the effects of the dagger.

"What is that dagger you have there?" Cried Thanatos as he could feel the pain from his injury getting intense with every passing second.

Without answering Hades disappeared from the sight of Thanatos and appeared behind him but he underestimated the god of death if he thought a small injury like that would weakened him and cloud his sense of reasoning.

The moment Hades appeared, Thanatos also turned around and held him by his neck bringing him down to the ground really hard creating a crater underneath him.

"I don’t know what that blade of yours is but when I’m done with you, I will have it for myself" he said as he raised his scythe high and aimed for his neck.

Zeus and Poseidon seeing this wanted to move to help their brother but was blocked by the lesser gods making them unable to advance.

"This is what you get for underestimating me"

Thanatos said as he brought down his Scythe at a speed in which lesser gods could not follow as it moved to rip the life of Hades.
