Chapter 202: Prelude To The Great Flood 4 -- Lucifer’s Grand Plan

In the cavernous depths of their hidden refuge, Cain gathered his progenies around a rough-hewn stone table. The flickering torchlight cast long shadows on the walls, dancing in rhythm with the tension that hung heavy in the air. Cain, his presence commanding and his gaze intense, leaned forward, his hands splayed across the ancient map of the Tower of Babel.

"We have an opportunity here," Cain began, his voice a low rumble that resonated with authority. "The Tower of Babel is a marvel of both arcane magic and forgotten technology. If we can secure it for ourselves, it could provide us with the power and resources to not only defend against the giants but to establish a new order in this chaotic world."

Mabel, her eyes gleaming with curiosity, asked, "But what about its missing power source? Without it, the Tower remains dormant, a potential loss."

Cain nodded, acknowledging her concern. "Exactly. Our first task is to locate a suitable power source. We know the Tower was designed to harness immense energies, both magical and mechanical. We must scour the ancient texts, search through forgotten ruins, and tap into any arcane knowledge we possess to find what we need."

Alaric, ever the strategist, added, "If we control the Tower, we can use its portals to our advantage, moving our forces swiftly and striking at the giants when they least expect it. It could turn the tide in our favor."

Lysandra, always pragmatic, asked, "What about the defenses? The Tower may still be protected by enchantments and mechanisms that could hinder us."

Cain’s eyes darkened with determination. "We will deal with those as they come. Our priority is securing the Tower and its power source. Once we have that, the rest will follow."

As the discussion continued, Cain suddenly felt a sharp, familiar sensation—a connection that had long been dormant but never truly forgotten. His thoughts were abruptly interrupted as a surge of ancient energy pulsed through him, unmistakable and potent. It was Lilith. She was back on Earth.

Cain’s eyes widened momentarily, and his progenies noticed the shift in his demeanor. He quickly masked his surprise, but the bond he shared with Lilith resonated strongly, filling him with a mix of anticipation and unease.

"The Tower of Babel, so that’s what the humans did that drew the attention of God to them, that’s quite an accomplishment," said Lilith as she looked at the towering Tower in the midst of the City that has now become desolate due to Lucifer driving the humans away.

"Yeah, and I managed to complete it without any stress whatsoever. It is truly a wonderful creation, with this, they traverse Realms easily " said Lucifer as he appeared beside Lilith.

Lilith frowned when she heard that he completed the Tower, "and why would you do that? I know you don’t need the Tower, so why did you go ahead and complete it? What are you planning, Lucifer?" She asked him knowing fully well that Lucifer was up to something.

Lucifer laughed out loud as he looked at Lilith, "Don’t worry, it is not what you think, I don’t need a Tower of Realms domination, I have better things to do with this Tower, which is the only means of transportation for those who have no means to traverse the Realms and after the purging, I assure you, my Father is is going to make traveling to Earth a tad bit difficult and that’s where this Tower comes in" he said causing Lilith to be very surprised.

Lilith’s surprise quickly turned into suspicion. "A purging? What are you talking about, Lucifer? What is this grand plan of yours?" she demanded, her eyes narrowing as she searched his face for any sign of deceit.

Lucifer’s expression turned serious, his laughter fading. "The world as it stands is in disarray, Lilith. Humans, giants, and celestial beings, are all vying for dominance. My Father, ever the judge, is preparing for a cleansing—a purge to reset the balance of creation. When that happens, the paths between realms will be sealed, and the chaos contained.

This Tower, however, will remain a beacon, a bridge for those worthy enough to traverse the realms."

Lilith stared at him, processing his words. "And who gets to decide who is worthy?" she asked, her tone skeptical.

Lucifer shrugged nonchalantly. "Me of course. But I assure you, I have no interest in ruling over the ashes of a purged world. I seek to preserve the delicate balance, to ensure that the realms remain interconnected. The Tower is a tool for that purpose, nothing more."
