Lilith asked Fang Hua who came to sit beside her.

"I am just here to talk to you ..."

Before Fang Hua could say what she wanted to say next, Lilith cut her off, "If you are here to tell me about how rude I was then I’m sorry, you can’t get to me" she said before trying to get up.@@@@

"Sit back down, I’ve not even begun talking, and you are trying to leave, why are you difficult to talk to?’ Fang Hua said as she held Lilith by her hands and forced her back to sit.

Lilith huffed, crossing her arms defiantly. "Fine, I’ll stay. But make it quick."

Fang Hua sighed, shaking her head at Lilith’s stubbornness. "I’m not here to lecture you or criticize your behavior. I just want to understand."

Lilith raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued despite her defensive stance. "Understand what?"

Fang Hua looked at Lilith with genuine concern. "I want to understand why you’re always so defensive, why you push people away before giving them a chance."

Lilith’s expression softened slightly, though she still maintained her guard. "Why do you care?"

Fang Hua shrugged. "Call it curiosity. We’re both outsiders in this realm, yet we handle things very differently. I want to know what drives you."

Could she trust someone in this unfamiliar realm? Could she let down her guard and allow herself to form connections, despite the risks?

The answers eluded her, buried beneath layers of mistrust and past betrayals. But amidst the uncertainty, there was a tiny spark of longing – a longing for connection, for understanding, for a sense of belonging.

With a heavy sigh, Lilith pushed herself to her feet, her resolve firming with each step she took. She may not fully trust Fang Hua or anyone else in this realm, but she was willing to take a chance – if only to quell the ache of loneliness that gnawed at her soul.

As she ventured out into the world once more, Lilith carried with her a newfound sense of openness, a willingness to explore the possibility of friendship, and perhaps even redemption.

And though the road ahead was fraught with uncertainty, she took solace in the knowledge that she was no longer alone – for in Fang Hua, she had found a glimmer of hope, a beacon of light amidst the darkness of her past.

Elsewhere

"Hello, love"

Athena turned around to look at the intruder who invaded her quarters and found out that it was Lucifer, the Devil himself.

Athena’s expression hardened as she regarded Lucifer, her eyes narrowing slightly. She had not expected to see him here, in her private chambers, uninvited and unwelcome.

"What are you doing here, Lucifer?" she asked, her voice tinged with a hint of suspicion.

Lucifer merely smirked, his gaze sweeping over Athena’s form with a mixture of amusement and intrigue. "Just paying a visit to an old acquaintance," he replied smoothly, his tone laced with charm.

Athena remained unconvinced, crossing her arms over her chest as she took a step back, putting some distance between herself and the Devil. She had always been wary of Lucifer’s silver-tongued words and beguiling charisma, knowing all too well the dangers that lay beneath his charming facade.

"I don’t recall being an old acquaintance of yours," she stated firmly, her stance defensive.
