Chapter 34 Hard Level Mission

"Meow."

"Meow meow".

"Meow?"

"Meow!"

A calico cat native to Ironweave Town was crouching under a dining table on the first floor of the inn, meowing back at Wilder.

It stretched its neck forward, letting Wilder's rough hands rub its little head.

Then Wilder broke off half a loaf of bread and tossed it to it.

The calico cat picked up the piece of bread and tiptoed away.

Wilder watched her retreating figure and thought that this girl was finally starting to resemble an adventurer.

A familiar voice came from behind, followed by a large hand poking Wilder in the waist.

It really is Gru.

"Gru? Where have you been all this time?" Wilder asked enthusiastically.

"I was craving my mom's homemade pies, so I went back to my hometown!"

"That simple?"

"It's that simple!" Gru grinned, his thick beard spreading out to the sides. "You still haven't answered me? That girl is your lover?"

"Just a partner," Wilder shook his head. "When you're not around, she and I do beginner quests together."

"It's easy for sparks to fly when doing missions, especially between a man and a woman alone together."

Gru nodded in approval. "I remember a female ranger and a male warrior went hunting ogres, and when they returned, the ranger was pregnant!"

Gru stared at his new outfit and pointed at it:

Lyle was still recovering from his injury, so Cyrion didn't call him. This mission was a three-person team.

They searched for suitable tasks in front of the task bulletin board.
