Chapter 44
Chapter 44
"What are you looking at!"
Yabo vented his anger at the statue, as waves of physical pain washed over him.
He wanted to commit suicide again, but when he thought about how much he had suffered and hadn't even seen a glimpse of the treasure chest, he felt unwilling to give up.
"Since we're already here..." Yabo chanted the incantation and continued forward.
As he walked, he entered a place filled with gravity stones. The gravity from the dark ground was so immense that his bones cracked and popped.
But strangely enough, magic could be used here; the air was filled with a rich magical energy.
Yabo was overjoyed and greedily absorbed the magic in the air. His body warmed up quickly, and his body, strengthened by the magic, easily broke through the limitations of the gravity stone, allowing him to jump at least three meters high.
The only pity is that his kidneys could not fully recover, and a feeling of emptiness pervaded his whole body.
"It's okay, everything will be fine once we get out. As long as I have magic, I'm invincible."
Yabo was confident and walked briskly toward the place where the treasure chest shone. He was not far from there; he only needed to walk another ten kilometers or so to get there.
"roar!"
Suddenly, a deafening roar rang out, and flames shot into the sky from behind a low hill. The chilling heat began to erode the land, distorting the very space it burned.
A giant black and red hand climbed up the low mountain, its blood was scorching lava, and supernatural high temperature surrounded its body. Beneath the lava were golden pupils.
A towering, jet-black horn pierced the curtain, and the colossal being turned to look at the stunned Yabo, a hint of disdain for the weak life flashing in its eyes.
"Flame Demon!"
Yabo was terrified. This was a being in the first tier below legendary creatures like dragons. Ordinary adventurers who were a whole major level higher than it would have to run away.
Subconsciously, he used his insight.
[Bio Level: 50]
"Is it possible to reach a settlement?"
The response to Yabo was a flame casually exhaled by the Flame Demon.
In just a moment, Yabo was burned unconscious by the flames and collapsed to the ground convulsing.
But he didn't die; his strong physique gave him a tenacious life force.
Half an hour later, several black goblins who had wandered over found the unconscious Yabo.
They initially mistook it for one of their own kind, but after flipping it over with a large stick, they discovered that it was not one of their kind, but rather a source of sustenance for reproduction.
Caesar paid no attention to what happened next, focusing his attention on Oliya and her group.
At this point, they had reached the succubus level and brought up the matter of the dungeon arena.
"Opening a arena in the dungeon? I've heard of such a thing. I heard that a duke invested in this project and then lost a lot of money."
"They tried more than a dozen dungeons without success. Isn't this just a huge trap?"
"I think so too."
"Olivia, your family wouldn't be planning something like this, would you? Well then, I can only wish Earl Ston good luck."
The nobles discussed the matter animatedly, and most of them thought it was a complete fantasy.
This was their first time visiting the North Underground City, and even after reading the family's information, they still couldn't understand just how special the succubi were.
Of course, this is also partly due to their lack of intelligence. If Orlando were here, he would probably be eager to write a report on the spot and have his men send it back to Earl Ston.
Olya and Undine laughed it off, not saying much about the matter, as if they had mentioned it casually. Their job was simply to propose the idea; someone clever would eventually see the feasibility of a 'ring'.
"Is that a succubus?"
After walking for a while, someone with sharp eyes spotted a beautiful figure in the distance.
Each time the dungeon expands, the teleportation points from the upper to the lower levels will change. The succubi will usually send people to the various points to welcome adventurers on the third day after the update.
The adventurers who entered after the update a few days ago were a mixed bag, and the Ston family did not have time to figure out the shortest route to the succubus level in time, so they could not send people to protect the succubus's safety in advance.
Adventurers are a dangerous group, and it's hard to say whether there are half as many "good people" as "bad people" among them.
If the succubi were to confront them on their own, adventurers might not hesitate to take them down for a mere few dozen life points or simply to experience the thrill of force.
This was a lesson learned in blood; Caesar lost thousands of life points because of it—he extracted the souls of the succubi in advance so that they could be resurrected.
The succubus also spotted the nobles from afar, and waved and greeted them with a smile from a distance.
"So beautiful, oh my god, I've decided, I must find a pure succubus to take back as my personal maid in the next few days."
"That's what I think too."
"Aren't you curious about what those two succubus leaders look like? I wonder if we can take them back with us."
"You're overthinking it. I've heard that the Holy See and a certain duke are interested in the succubus leader. That's not something we can get our hands on."
The young masters in the group were undoubtedly tempted, and some even wanted to capture the succubus leader. As nobles, very few were virtuous and self-disciplined; the vast majority were extravagant and dissolute.
"Should we rest on the fifth floor for a while?"
Someone suggested it, but he didn't feel any shortness of breath, so his purpose was clearly not to rest.
Oliya shook her head and said, "Our mission is to explore the seventh floor and the BOSS floor. If you want to play around, you can leave the group. There's no danger here anyway."
"I'm not doing this for fun."
The man retorted guiltily and obediently followed Oliya toward the nearest teleportation point.
Undine took everything in. She walked over to Olya, nudged the girl's waist, and chuckled, "Oliya, I've noticed you've changed quite a bit. You're even starting to resemble your brother... You call that aura of authority, right?"
"What dignity! This is called classy... By the way, Undine, how come you have so much vitality? Could it be that our ages were actually set wrong?" Olya replied softly, sounding listless.
She and Undine carried out Caesar's tasks every day, mostly spreading or gathering information.
As she gained more experience, she gradually matured from a naive young girl.
Of course, in private, she just wanted to lie on the succubus sisters and sleep, being a carefree girl.
I don't know why Undine is so energetic all the time, making her seem like a lazy immortal who just wants to lie down all day.
Undine chuckled. She was an anomaly among elves, naturally never idle.
Normally, cultivation takes up most of her time, but now that she's leveling up thanks to Caesar, Undine suddenly has a lot of free time, and she feels restless when she has nothing to do.
Before long, the noble team traversed the fifth and sixth levels and teleported to the seventh level.
"An adventurer has been impregnated by six dark-skinned goblins!"
"Isn't that the Yas family crest on these clothes?"
