Chapter 16 The Elf Undine
Chapter 16 The Elf Undine
"The hero is in danger?"
"Excellent, Heaven is on my side!"
"You need to gather as much information as possible about this hero these next few days. There will be a great reward for doing a good job."
8 a.m.
Orlando followed her into the underground city, where Orlando exposed the true nature of his family right under his nose.
Caesar's promises were so enticing that Olya was completely bewildered and no longer knew anything about her family.
"You have one more task today. After you complete it, you can enter a prize draw. I've prepared a surprise for you."
"Actually, I'd rather upgrade..."
"If you have the qualifications, then you should be promoted."
Caesar said irritably, "Later, you and I are going to trick the adventurers and give them a basic understanding of my new creation."
"Hey, boss, you're going to take action yourself?" Olya asked in surprise, then said somewhat dejectedly, "But I'm being watched closely by my brother now, there's no way I can escape."
Orlando surrounded the siblings with fifteen guards, making it a pipe dream for Oria to escape on her own.
But Caesar had plenty of ways.
A white light suddenly shone at Olivia's feet. With a cry of "Ah!", Olivia triggered a teleportation trap in full view of everyone and disappeared.
Seeing his sister suddenly transform into a living person right in front of him, Orlando fell silent.
"How could there be a teleportation trap here?!"
"It will only teleport players below level 30!"
On the BOSS level, Oliya suddenly appeared in the air with a thud, and then slammed her buttocks hard against the cold ground with another thud.
She grimaced and rubbed her bottom, then looked up to see Caesar sitting leisurely on his throne, one hand propping up his head, staring at the top of her head and laughing.
Lucia stood respectfully to the side, feeding Caesar glistening grapes.
Olya looked up, and above her floated virtual screens displaying real-time monitoring footage of adventurers at various levels.
The screen also thoughtfully displays each person's control panel.
"Oria, you choose someone to fool yourself. I'll send you the information about the sixth floor later."
"Boss, aren't you coming with me?"
"Of course not, we'll split up, that's more efficient."
Caesar chewed on a grape and mumbled, "Lucia will also take action; after all, the mechanism of this relic is rather complicated."
"If we don't explain it to adventurers, it may take them a long time to understand the value of artifacts."
……
The arrow pierced the air, its body composed of raging wind elements shredding everything around it, blasting a goblin and the trees behind it together with unparalleled power.
The owner of the arrow did not have rounded earlobes, but rather slender ears with pointed tips, the angle between them and his face exceeding the limits of ordinary people.
Elf.
Her long, flowing green hair was tied into a high ponytail, and her slender, elf-like body was full of explosive power. She ran and leaped through the forest, with a goblin army chasing after her.
Eagle Eye

The elven archer's talent allows her to aim at targets with incredible accuracy, even in strenuous activities and complex environments, and fire with every shot. Every time she draws her bow, a goblin dies a tragic death under her arrow.
The goblins in the dungeon were fearless and swarmed in one after another.
"Why are the dungeon walkthroughs still selling out? And why can't we kill all these goblins? Weren't there supposed to be very few monsters in the beginning of the North Dungeon?"
The elf cried out mournfully, his hand pulling the arrow so fast it was almost a blur, but the number of goblin soldiers showed no sign of decreasing.
Before long, the elf was forced to the edge of a cliff, and goblins surrounded him from all directions like a tide.
The elf's face was deathly pale, her beautiful features filled with resentment.
She had placed her hands on her neck to prevent the horrific events from happening, as described in folk tales.
Just then, countless shooting stars suddenly lit up the sky.
The elves heard the all-too-familiar sound of arrows piercing the air, and saw arrows falling like raindrops, wiping out the goblin army in just a few breaths.
"So strong!"
The elf exclaimed in amazement as he saw a man wearing a smiling mask land gracefully.
He held a longbow in his hand and had green hair and pointed ears like an elf.
The elf was overjoyed to find that it was someone of the same kind who had saved him.
"My name is Undine, thank you for saving me."
Undine
Class: Elf Archer (Trait: Natural Archer)
Rating: 25
Life Points: 500
Constitution: 30 (The higher the number of points, the greater the improvement)
Soul: 25 (The higher the score, the greater the boost)
Skills (Magic): General Adventurer Skills, Arrow Condensation, Archery, Wind Elemental Magic Mastery...
Professional Talents: [Eagle Eye Lv2 (Sees higher, farther, and clearer; enhanced dynamic vision)] [Intuition Lv2 (Superhuman perception and feel)]
Status: Normal
"You're welcome. My name is Kegel."
Caesar never drafted his lies; he just blurted out a name that was familiar to him subconsciously and that conformed to the three-word naming rules of the elves.
He walked to within five meters of Undine and earnestly advised the energetic young woman:
"You're only level 25. It's too risky for you to come to a place with a level cap of 45 all by yourself. It would be a waste of your life force if you didn't get the BOSS rewards."
Undine blushed; she wanted to say that she had only come to see the legendary succubus industry.
I had heard that there were very few monsters in the North Dungeon, and that even a child in his forties could clear it by following the guide. How could a sixty-year-old adult elf be in trouble?
Who knew that the dungeon had just undergone a major update on her way there, and she couldn't buy the previous guides.
A series of unexpected events led to her being targeted by a horde of goblins that appeared out of nowhere.
She wanted to explain something, and incidentally activated [Insight], which is how adventurers determine the seniority of others in dungeons.
When you meet someone, using the phrase "see through them" is similar to a greeting and there's nothing impolite about it.
Undine had expected to see a string of question marks—the ability to see through obstacles would not work if the adventurer level difference was greater than 15 levels.
But what she saw was [Biological Level: 23].
How come he's even shorter than her?!
Undine paused for a moment, then her tone suddenly became cautious.
"Are you His Highness?"
In each generation of the Elf Forest, multiple Elf Kings appear. Kegel's level is lower than hers, yet he is so strong. In her opinion, he is likely a prince.
The corners of his mouth turned up beneath the Caesar mask.
Hooked.
"What are you thinking? How could His Highness possibly come to a place like this?"
Caesar shook his head: "I also paid to join an adventure group to get in, but I accidentally stepped on a teleportation point and ended up on the BOSS floor."
"I was on my way back to the surface when I ran into you."
"Then how...how can you be so strong?"
Undine was puzzled. How could the enemy mow down her goblin army so easily when they were of the same class and of a lower rank than her?
Could it be that Kegel didn't focus on leveling up and instead spent all his time honing his skills and learning magic?
For long-lived species like elves, whose initial lifespan is thousands of years, leveling up is very slow. Some elves, in order to temporarily increase their combat power, will focus on other things.
"No, it's all thanks to the new rewards from the BOSS level."
Caesar raised his longbow, and Undine then noticed that the longbow was covered with patterns, and that these patterns seemed to be alive.
