Chapter 63 The Quidditch Stadium Showdown
Chapter 63 The Quidditch Stadium Showdown
When Flint and the others saw that Harry and the others were carrying Nimbus 2001, they were all extremely surprised.
This is a national team-level setup!
They only have two Nimbus 2001s in total!
Draco, his eyes practically bulging out of their sockets, yelled, "How could you possibly afford that!"
"You're right, you lazybones who doesn't even make your bed." Fred chuckled, leaning on his broom. "This is a friendly donation from His Majesty the Lion King."
George chuckled, "Nimbus 2000? Even my ghoul doesn't play with that."
Draco and the others were speechless and stared at Harry.
Were the Potters really that rich?
Tens of thousands of Galleons were just given away like that?
"Alright, young men and women, now fly up into the sky!" Now, Madam Huo Qi acted as the referee, blowing her whistle and sending all fourteen people into the sky.
As the crowd gathered in a circle in mid-air, Madam Huoqi shouted, "I hope today's match will be fair and exciting!" With that, she kicked open the wooden box containing the ball.
The golden thief, worth 150 points, soared into the sky, followed closely by two roaming balls that were good at hitting people.
Mrs. Hodge spread her fingers, grabbed the Quaffle, and tossed it. Lee Jordan, the commentator on the mat, shouted, "The game has officially begun!"
The Ghost Ball soared into the sky, and three or five red and green figures shot off like arrows.
Flint knew Gryffindor was skilled with brooms and feared that the longer the game dragged on, the worse it would be for them. He instructed Draco to quickly capture the Golden Snitch and get to the bottom of the match.
Draco lifted the broom handle and went straight up, but looking down at the field, he couldn't find a trace of the Golden Snitch.
Seeing Harry flying low downstream, he assumed he was looking for the Golden Snitch and hurriedly gave chase.
As they got closer, they saw no golden figure and heard no flapping of wings, but instead heard Harry shout.
"Where is the batter! Hurry up and defend the upper left!"
Draco was startled and looked up to see George rushing towards the ball and sweeping it into his own Chaser.
The bouncy ball threw Slytherin's formation into disarray, and Katie Bell seized the opportunity to snatch the Quaffle and head straight for the Slytherin door knocker.
When the two Snakes' Court batters saw this, their faces contorted with rage, and they stepped forward to block the shot.
It should be noted that Katie was a freshman who flew with great speed and moved with a beautiful gait. However, upon seeing these two menacing-looking individuals, she felt a sense of retreat.
Seeing that Katie had slowed down, Harry shouted, "No backing down! Press forward! Lion's Banner forward!"
Katie heard Harry's call but dared not hesitate. She gritted her teeth and charged forward. How could Nimbus 2000 catch up?
In a split second, the ball went through the goalposts, and Li Qiaodan shouted, "Gryffindor gets ten points!"
"The first goal was scored less than two minutes into the game; it looks like today's match is going to be exceptionally exciting!"
Draco was stunned when he saw the whole picture of the goal.
Is that scarred guy Gryffindor's coach?!
Wow! If that's the case, does that mean no one will be competing with me for the Golden Snitch?
He was secretly delighted, thinking that the Gryffindor team was only focused on the small things and had forgotten the big ones. The Golden Snitch, with a score of 150, was much more valuable than the Quaffle.
In the blink of an eye, he saw a flash of golden light. Just as he was about to grab it, a crimson shadow swept past him, and the wind almost knocked him away.
Upon closer inspection, it was indeed Harry Potter.
Seeing Draco's uncertain expression, Harry laughed loudly, "I'll teach you, you sly little bird, how to command a good battlefield and also catch that long-winged golden egg!"
After saying that, he disappeared in a flash.
Within three to five minutes, Gryffindor scored repeatedly, making Flint sweat profusely.
Just last month, he and his friends, confident in their broom skills, neglected their training. Little did they expect that these Gryffindors would pull out Nimbus 2001, each one fierce and ruthless, leaving them speechless with frustration.
All's fair in war. Flint, seeing that he couldn't score or catch the Golden Snitch, simply coughed in a strange manner, which made the Slytherins understand immediately.
The two batters, now abandoning the ball, pretended to chase it for a moment before heading towards Harry.
As they got closer, they both raised their sticks menacingly, one striking the chest and the other the back, both using tremendous force.
Although the two attackers were ruthless, Harry was strong and muscular. He only grunted and managed to withstand both blows, his teeth grinding and veins bulging on his forehead.
Upon seeing this, Li Qiaodan jumped onto the commentary booth and yelled, "Foul! A blatant foul!"
"You two bastards! You should both go to Azkaban!"
The students at the table were all cursing angrily, the Slytherin students were all smug, but Ron and Hermione remained calm and composed.
Ron, holding the binoculars, clicked his tongue and said, "That's too little force. I could have withstood it."
Hermione nodded in agreement. "These two are in big trouble. Harry will keep them in bed for at least two or three days."
Harry took two bites, then spread his fingers and slapped the one on his left, shouting angrily, "You filthy scoundrel! How dare you mess with your ancestors!"
The one who struck the ball was a fourth-year student who, confident in his height and build, was not afraid of Harry's blow.
But when this slap landed on his face, it felt like a giant worm stretching out its claws to tear him apart, or a black bear stretching out its tongue to lick him. He felt as if his skin was about to be scraped off and his eyes were about to pop out of their sockets.
With a loud bang, the man spun around and plummeted from the sky.
Upon seeing this, Lady Hooch quickly blew her whistle, sending the two Slytherin batsmen off the field.
Harry stayed behind in self-defense.
"I'll say it again!" Madam Foster snapped. "I expect you to be fair and impartial!"
Wood and Flint both nodded, but a surge of annoyance burned in their eyes.
"Listen up, all of you!" Wood panted, staring intently at Flint. "Winning or losing doesn't matter anymore. All I want is for you to swat these Slytherins like flies!"
Wood had received countless favors from Harry, and seeing him being beaten only fueled his anger; those two blows felt like they were hitting his face.
They wouldn't rest until they avenged Harry.
Upon hearing this, Fred, George, and the others all nodded with menacing expressions.
They all carried Harry's broom, ate his broom, and were willing to risk their lives for him.
"Just you wait, Wood, none of these guys will be standing up in a minute!"
Madam Hooch blew her whistle again, tossed the Quake ball, and everyone sped away.
Flint had his own cunning tricks up his sleeve. Seeing Wood grab the Quake, he reached out and tried to break Wood's fingers.
In the past, this trick would have failed hundreds of times. But now, after it had been broken off, Wood managed to break it back off with his fingers.
"You didn't expect that, did you, Flint!" Wood sneered. "Harry also taught us quite a few training methods."
