479 Chapter 479 – Different
Max looked around to see if there was anything inside the vast white space, but all he saw was endless white and nothing else. Looking down, he tried to move his body forward but suddenly his stomach felt funny as if something was coming up his throat.
"Hmph?!"
A nausea struck him for a brief moment, forcing him to shut his eyes tightly as he groaned in discomfort. However, his feeling of discomfort went away shortly after that and he opened his eyes again.
He realized he was in a completely different place from before. A familiar Lobby where his parkour park could be found was visible in his view. A sky could be seen above his head and blue sky with white fluffy clouds could be seen floating calmly along with the wind that blew by.
A tall tree and the usual chair where he sat was at the center of this parkour park and the surroundings were all grass. They seemed alive, swaying gently along with the soft breeze blowing through them.
"My Lobby." He muttered as he tried to move.
Indeed, this place was perfect for testing. He had put many obstacles in this parkour park so he could test them without having to move to another server or a game server. It was all located in a local server.
Now, he wondered how this new virtual reality machine was different from the one he had used before. And whether his synchronization rate was higher or not as this machine was created using his data.
'If I can reach 100% like Atlas, that would be awesome.' Max grinned excitedly.
At that moment, he heard a voice.
"Breeze, are you fine inside?"
It was StoneSword's. A hologram popped up in front of Max when he spoke to him from outside.
Max nodded his head in response, indicating that he was okay.
"Yeah, everything is fine. Just a little bit nauseous earlier when the space changed into my Lobby." He reported everything he felt without hiding it. "It was just a brief nausea and it didn't affect me much. Do you receive any different reports from here?"
"No." StoneSword shook his head, "From here, everything is normal. We will check the machine again later. For now, I have installed synchronization rate monitoring. Feel free to do anything you want there and we will proceed with testing."
With that, he terminated the connection between them and Max was left alone in the Lobby again.
'My SR is, without a doubt, increased slightly. I have felt this when I changed VR Capsule back then. Or maybe, the limit of what the capsule can handle with my high SR is increased. That's why it's giving this strange realistic feeling.'
Some people might not like it. There were a lot of them who wanted to enjoy virtual reality as just a virtual. The realistic feeling would be in the way of that as they would feel more immersed than usual.
Still, it wouldn't be a problem for him since he made a living from streaming himself playing games in VR. In fact, the more immersed he was inside virtual reality, the better his gameplay was.
A minute should be enough. He returned to the center of his Lobby and sat on the chair.
"How is it, StoneSword? Any change?"
"Yes. There is a change from earlier."
A voice answered immediately. From the sound of it, he was happy.
"Your SR hasn't changed from before. But... We noticed your performance increased. Can you explain what you feel differently from this capsule compared to our latest model used in competition?"
"It's different." Max nodded his head. "Everything seems real."
"Details please?" StoneSword urged him to continue.
"Well..." Max paused briefly as he organized his thoughts before speaking again, "Every movement of mine feels real. The wind, sensation, everything seems real. It's hard to differentiate this from reality. In my opinion... You shouldn't sell this thing, StoneSword. I doubt it and don't want to try it yet, but... Maybe the pain will also feel real."
After saying that, Max waited for StoneSword's reaction. After a few seconds, he finally replied.
"It's as you said. The pain perception can go up to 100... or even 120%. This is just a prototype, though. There is no need to worry about us selling a defective product. And besides, these are created for Lily. If we want to market them, we certainly will make a slight change to the setting."
"Okay." Max smiled wryly at the siscon's words. This capsule was indeed created to change "I am counting on you."
"Don't worry about it. Now you can rest a little while I change the setting again. We will test it again later."
"Got it."
With that, he stepped out of the Lobby and exited the VR Capsule.
