Chapter 455 – After Party!

When they returned to the surface, a staff with the camera was ready. They climbed the boat and returned to the beach with the box and the last golden key.

They didn't plan to open it on the boat.

Max didn't know whether the last key was the perfect fit or not, so he planned to get all his keys first before trying. He would open it from the fifth key he got to the first key, the hardest test among the five.

And there were also the other two participants. When he arrived at the beach, Max immediately sought Mr. Strange to talk about it.

"Should we open the chest when all participants arrive or should we open it now?"

That was a question that could change the editing.

And Mr. Strange's answer was...

"Just do whatever you want. This is a challenge, a competition. If you win before your competitors are here, that means you're just much better! And our editors are good, leave it to him to edit it."

This conversation wasn't recorded on camera. Max nodded at Mr. Strange and got the key from the changing room. He also got a jacket for Lily to wear.

After getting the key, they returned to the beach and put the chest on the sand. He opened the wrapping and was about to open it when Lily spoke.

"Can I open it?"

Max looked at her and smiled. She looked like a little child who found a new toy.

"Sure. Start from the fifth key."

"Un, got it."

Lily smiled and held the fifth key and inserted it into the hole. Cameras were focused on them. When she twisted the key, it didn't do anything.

"Wrong one." Max said, "Try another."

She nodded and took the fourth key. It also didn't work. She frowned and used the third key. When she twisted it...

It opened.

Lily beamed in a smile and turned to Max. She raised her hands and high-fived him.

"We did it!"

The last game finished, and the day came to an end. After the staff did a quick interview with the couples, they were sent back to the hotel to have their rest.

"Are you okay?"

In the hotel's restaurant, Max asked June worriedly.

Queeny had to support June with her shoulder as he limped. The staff also helped by carrying their luggage, so they didn't have to do anything.

"Ah, thanks for asking. I just twisted my ankle, nothing much. I just stepped down the ladder too fast. It also won't have a lasting effect. According to the scan result, I will be able to walk normally tomorrow."

"Is that so? That's good, then."

Max didn't feel guilty at all. They were competing against each other. Accident was normal, and June was just unlucky.

Though losing the reality show sucked, June seemed to have fun. But his girlfriend wasn't too happy about it.

"Ugh~ I will definitely win the next challenge!"

The idol girl drank too many beers and got tipsy. In front of her were three empty glasses, while the other just finished around half of their drink. Still, no one said anything. It was the after party. The restaurant was filled with staff members, no one but people in the industry watched her.

"Lily! Airi! Drink with me. Ugh~ It's my fault. If only I am not afraid of heights, June wouldn't be injured!" Queeny said, sobbing so suddenly. "June~ I am sorry, baby.

I will repay you tonight in bed!"

"Hoo, how bold." Max teased as a smirk appeared on his face.

"H-Hey, Queeny. We're outside. Please keep your voice down."

"What? It's normal, right? We're all adults here, and all of us have lovers! There is nothing strange about talking about that!" Queeny complained, her face red from drunkenness.

"But still..."

"I will repay you tonight! That's final."

June's voice died down under Queeny's forceful invitation.

Airi blushed, while Lily looked down. Her face was also red as she glanced at Max.

Max knew where this was going and changed the topic. The party was pretty fun. Everyone got drunk in the end and returned to their own room.

The next day, everyone woke up late but looked refreshed.
