Getting spoiled in a woman dominating world

Chapter 559: Nubines [2]

Chapter 559: Nubines [2]

Two weeks have passed since the attack on Freya and Amelia. While public opinion turned sharply against Nubines through carefully spread narratives, Brandon chose a more direct path for the first strike.

Now, four horses galloped across the vast, open plains near the western border of the Nubines Empire.

The ground thundered beneath their hooves as dust clouds rose behind them.

Brandon rode at the front, his dark cloak billowing in the wind.

His expression was calm as he stared ahead.

Beside him Scylla, Camille and Lisette flanked them, their cloaks fluttering as they kept pace.

In the distance, thousands of soldiers were standing like a dark sea, heavy infantry with shields, archers positioned behind them, and several catapults looming in the rear.

Elite units of awakened women, secretly trained and armed by the empire, stood among them.

Banners of the Nubines Empire and its vassal kingdoms fluttered in the wind.

At the center of the formation Nubines War General was standing, a towering man in ornate black armor flanked by the generals of the subjugated kingdoms.

They watched the four riders approach in confusion.

"Just four?"

"Are they here to surrender?"

"They instigated the war and now they are surrendering?"

Scylla let out a low whistle as they slowed their horses to a trot, looking at the sheer size of the enemy force.

"Are we going to fight them all alone?" she asked and a wild grin spread across her face despite the overwhelming odds.

Brandon turned his head slightly toward her, "You scared?"

Scylla let out a loud laugh, slapping her thigh.

"Nice joke, Master."

Brandon chuckled softly, "I will take care of the most part."

"You three just make sure none of them escape. My only order for you is... don’t die."

The four of them came to a stop a few hundred meters from the front lines.

The Nubines army tensed visibly and the horns were blared.

The War General stepped forward on his warhorse, raising a hand to halt his troops for a moment.

"Who dares ride alone into our lands?!" he bellowed across the field.

"The Herald of the false Goddess? You have come to die today!"

Brandon drew the silver blade Rheanne had given him as the sword gleamed coldly in the sunlight.

"I’ve come to return the favor."

The Nubines War General laughed mockingly and raised his hand.

"Kill them! All four of them! Show the world what happens when you challenge the Nubines Empire!"

"RAAAARRRRRRRGHHHHHHH!"

Thousands of soldiers roared and charged forward.

Arrows darkened the sky and catapults launched massive stones. The elite awakened women among them surged ahead, ether glowing around their bodies.

Scylla grinned savagely, gripping her axe "AHAHAHAHA! COME ON, YOU BASTARDS!"

Camille and Lisette drew their weapons.

Brandon remained seated on his horse for a moment longer, watching the charging army with calm eyes.

In the next instant, the flying arrows were burned to ashes and the massive stones launched by the catapults turned to dust.

The War general was startled to see this "W-What just happened?"

In a blur, Brandon was off the horse and among them.

The silver blade flashed.

*sleesh*

The first row of soldiers was cut down in a single sweeping arc as their bodies fell apart before they even realized they had been hit.

Scylla charged in right behind him, swinging her axe in wide, devastating arcs that sent soldiers flying like broken dolls.

Camille and Lisette moved behind them, cutting down anyone who tried to flank or escape.

The battlefield turned into a slaughter.

Brandon carved a path straight toward the War General.

Blood sprayed in arcs across the dry grass as he advanced, leaving a trail of death and detached bodies in his path.

The enemy generals, mounted on their warhorses at the rear, watched in growing horror.

"How... how is this possible?!"

"Just four people... against thousands?!"

The Nubines War General gripped his reins tightly, "Hold the line!" he roared.

"Archers! Focus fire on the Herald! Bring him down!"

But it was already too late.

SWOOSH-!

The skies above the battlefield suddenly cleared.

A massive shadow fell over the plains as dozens of blazing meteors materialized high in the air, glowing with intense orange and blue ether.

The entire Nubines army looked up in terror.

"G-GENERAL, LOOK UP!"

"WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT?!"

"RAISE YOUR SHIELDS!"

"I-I-I DON’T THINK SHIELDS CAN WITHSTAND THIS!!!"

Panic erupted across the battlefield as soldiers screamed and scrambled, shoving each other in desperate attempts to escape.

Shields were raised in vain.

The elite awakened women among them tried to summon barriers, but their powers were still crude and untrained compared to what was coming.

Scylla, Camille, and Lisette, still cutting down soldiers around Brandon, looked up in shock.

Scylla grinned wildly, blood dripping from her axe.

"Hah! Now that’s what I’m talking about!"

Camille and Lisette turned their heads toward Brandon, who was still effortlessly breaking through the enemy ranks.

The first meteor struck.

BOOOOOOOM-!!!

The ground exploded in a massive crater and dozens of soldiers were vaporized instantly.

Shockwaves rippled outward, throwing men and horses into the air.

More meteors followed in rapid succession, raining down across the battlefield in a devastating barrage.

The plains trembled as fire and dust filled the air.

Screams of pain and terror drowned out the sounds of battle.

Brandon finally glanced upward for a brief moment with a cold expression.

He raised his free hand slightly, guiding the trajectory of the remaining meteors with precise control, avoiding his own team while maximizing damage to the enemy formation.

Scylla laughed maniacally as she cleaved through a group of panicking soldiers trying to flee the meteor strike zone.

"This is more like it! Burn them all!"

The Nubines army was breaking.

What began as a confident march to crush four intruders turned into a rout.

Thousands of soldiers were now running for their lives as meteors continued to hammer their formations, leaving smoking craters and burning corpses.

The War General’s horse reared in panic.

He struggled to control it, his face twisted in rage and fear.

"Retreat! Fall back to the fortress! Send word to the capital! The Herald is a monster!"

But Brandon was already closing the distance.

His silver blade flashed one final time, cutting down the last soldiers standing between him and the command group.

Brandon stepped forward, his cloak billowing in the wind and his eyes were locked on the War General who was now visibly shaken on his warhorse.

As he was about to move, thunderstorms rolled across the sky.

Hm? Brandon glanced up at the sky and his eyes narrowed "...That’s surprising."

Thunder rumbled across the plains and massive storm clouds rolled in, swallowing the morning sun and casting the entire battlefield into shadow.

Bolts of blinding lightning tore down from the clouds, striking the descending meteors with pinpoint accuracy.

One after another, the massive fiery boulders were shattered mid-air, exploding into harmless showers of burning debris and smoke.

A handsome man with long blonde hair descended down from the skies, looking down at the battlefield.

Pure, crackling lightning danced around his body, forming a radiant halo of power.

The entire Nubines army looked up in awe and fear. Some soldiers fell to their knees, mistaking him for a divine savior.

Camille, standing near Brandon, felt a chill run down her spine.

Her eyes condensed in fear as she sensed the overwhelming, oppressive power radiating from the newcomer.

"Master... who is that?"

A faint smile appeared on Brandon’s lips.

"A God."
