Chapter 398 389 Fire burns at Bei Mountain

Bai Zhongqi was piloting a different small landing craft from the one he had originally used to land on Taoran Star. To avoid the pursuing beasts, Bai Zhongqi was now using an upgraded version from the Yinglong Cruiser, which boasted better maneuverability and a full stealth capability, and was also somewhat larger.

As the landing craft took off, Bai Zhongqi caught a full view of the Bei Mountain surroundings and was somewhat shocked to see that nearly a hundred thousand Stiff Ghosts had gathered around it. Masses of the walking dead were converging on the main peak of Bei Mountain from all sides, reminiscent of scenes from the film "Resident Evil."

However, these Stiff Ghosts weren't brainless monsters; they were humans who had undergone severe mutations and decay. They possessed intelligence and emotions. Such a massing on the mountain had to be orchestrated by someone.

Nan Ma marveled at the large numbers of Stiff Ghosts and remarked, "After the Star Alliance kicks the benefactors out of Taoran Star, I suggest Your Majesty turns Taoran Star into a tourist destination for exploration and adventure within the Star Alliance. Bai Zhongqi had no interest in such banter with Nan Ma. He was determined to deal with the benefactors. In the First Universe, Iridium Star had transformed planets full of dangerous creatures into Administrative Stars, although it required a great deal of effort. To eradicate or relocate a large number of creatures to reserves was a cumbersome and massive project.

On the landing craft, Bai Zhongqi and three Autochthonous Warriors were responsible for piloting the spacecraft, while Nan Ma and another were questioning two of the benefactors. Bai Zhongqi had already decided to abandon the numerous captured underlings of the benefactors. Right before leaving the top of Bei Mountain, Bai Zhongqi ordered two bionic soldiers to enter the crashed benefactors' flying saucer with repair tools.

The flying saucer boarded by the two benefactors was not too badly damaged. After an inspection, it was determined that although the shield was down and the propulsion system had sustained some damage, simple repairs should enable it to fly again.

"So, Your Majesty plans to use this flying saucer as our cover?" Nan Ma inquired.

After executing this action, the Flying Saucer didn't stay any longer and immediately started its engine, flying in the opposite direction from where Bai Zhongqi and his group had departed.

Not long after the Flying Saucer had flown away, two of the benefactors' Flying Saucers arrived at Bei Mountain.

Seeing Bei Mountain engulfed in flames, the people of the benefactors were somewhat shocked.

"Eight Flying Saucers crashed, seven of them. Did the Earthlings really shoot them all down?"
