Chapter 110 104 Centauri Alpha Galaxy

Insight.

As the sole reconnaissance ship of the Imperial Universe Army of the United Empire from Iridium Star, originally part of the R19 fleet, Xiu Ping and his crew had been traveling in space for nearly a month, far away from the Sacred Falcon and Ruyi City.

The primary reconnaissance mission of the Insight was to scout within the Solar System. Although crew members were not deployed to land on celestial bodies, the ship had many drones capable of withstanding harsh environments. The intelligence gathered by the Insight was ample.

Field inspections were naturally much more effective than deductions made through astronomical observations from Earth, and the data sent back by the Insight had already overturned many observations made on Earth.

The exploration of the Solar System's planets by the Insight was by no means thorough. In reality, as soon as a swarm of drones was dispersed over a planet, the Insight would jump to the next one. Essentially, the useful information gathered was what useful resources each planet possessed that could be utilized by Iridium Star.

For a stellar system survey, a month was not long, merely enough to get a rough idea. After finishing the exploration of the small asteroids Pluto and Charon, Captain Xiu Ping turned off the phase jump engine for the first time and initiated the warp engine.

Traveling at a speed higher than Warp 5.4, he crossed the Kuiper Belt and the Oort Cloud, heading for Centauri Alpha Galaxy, the nearest stellar system to the Solar System.

This was the Three-Body System, a place countless humans had dreamt of while confined to Earth!

Long before heading to Centauri Alpha, the Insight, with its astronomical observation capabilities far surpassing those on Earth, had already explored this triple star system.

All reconnaissance missions had several core objectives: to seek habitable and resource-rich planets; to discover anomalies that Iridium Star had never seen before, which were of research value; and to encounter different universe civilizations.

Not until the Insight reached the third planet, orbiting star B in the habitable zone, did the people of Iridium Star find their greatest discovery of this trip.

This was a planet that radiated an emerald glow. From outer space, it exhibited vast oceans. Xiu Ping hardly needed to deploy probes to determine that this was indeed a planet capable of sustaining life. As he had suspected, a large number of drones were sent to this planet, quickly amassing a wealth of intelligence data.

Xiu Ping looked at the holographic screen, also slightly surprised. This planet not only harbored life but also intelligent life similar to humans and Iridium Star people, belonging to the Primate Clan. Xiu Ping was not surprised by this; humanoid intelligent life was considered the most prevalent race in the universe, supported by various hypotheses and theories.

It was generally believed that primates shared a common ancestor, possessing an unverified "Elder Race," which was supposedly the primal forebears of humans, carrying human genes across various corners of the universe.

Another hypothesis leaned towards fatalism, suggesting that among intelligent species capable of reproducing and fostering civilizations on habitable planets, only primates were most suitable; thus, any life-bearing planet making progress was likely to evolve civilizations created by primates.

Yuan Xin, the executive officer, also exclaimed, "Two star systems so close to each other both producing intelligent life, and both are humans, makes me start to believe in the 'Elder Race' hypothesis."

Xiu Ping, who wasn't interested in universe archaeology, said, "This planet's natural environment is somewhat inferior to Earth's, and its civilization level is much lower. Judging by its social structure, it's probably akin to the late Feudal Era, far from entering the industrial age. Hence, the level of productivity here is low, and the population isn't large.

It seems, like Earth, there's no evident sign of interference by alien civilizations in its civilizational progress."

Yuan Xin laughed and said, "Captain, as the Empire captain who first discovered this planet, you have the right to name it."

After thinking for a moment, Xiu Ping replied, "I'm not really good at naming, but this planet is green, a rare color among habitable planets, so let's just call it Emerald Sea Star."
