Chapter 330 A Prince's Curiosity And A Broken Blade
Lyra made her way up the stairs to the VIP section, her steps heavy as she was lost in thought. As she reached the top, she looked around the area until her gaze landed on the crown prince, Alexander. With a calm stride, she made her way over to him, her expression somber yet calm.
Alexander greeted her with a cheerful smile, his eyes bright with curiosity. "Hey, Lyra! What brings you up here? Thought you were going for some last-minute practice before your match?"
Lyra's response was tinged with melancholy as she sank into the seat beside him. "No point in practicing anymore."@@@@
Confusion furrowed Alexander's brow as he leaned in slightly. "Sorry, what was that?"
With a heavy sigh, Lyra lifted her gaze to meet his. "I lost," she confessed, her words heavy with defeat. "I lost to someone in a practice duel. I'm out of the tournament now."

Alexander sat in stunned silence, his usual jovial expression fading into one of disbelief. "You must be joking," he finally managed to utter, he didn't believe her.
"I wish I was," Lyra replied solemnly.
A frown creased Alexander's brow as he mulled over her words. "Who could possibly be strong enough to defeat you in this country, besides me and my father?" he muttered to himself. Clearing his throat, he turned back to Lyra, a glimmer of seriousness in his eyes. "Well, don't be too downhearted. I'm sure you put up a good fight. And whoever managed to beat you must be exhausted.
When it's my turn to step into the ring and face them, I'll make sure to get some payback for you."
Lyra shook her head, a bitter smile on her lips. "It was over in a single move."
Alexander froze at her words, his eyes widening in shock. "If this is some kind of joke, Lyra, you're stretching it a bit too far," he stuttered, his tone tinged with concern. "It's not funny anymore."
Wordlessly, Lyra retrieved her sword from its sheath, revealing the shattered blade and the pieces scattered within. Alexander's shock turned to disbelief as he beheld the sorry state of the once-proud weapon. "What happened to Zantion?"
Prince Alexander followed her gaze, his expression turning thoughtful as he observed Akun. "He does look quite strong," he remarked, his brow furrowing slightly. "And that silver hair of his is rather peculiar."
Shrugging indifferently, Alexander added, "Well, whatever. I can't wait to face off against this man who ended a duel with you in a single move." His eyes gleamed with anticipation as he envisioned the upcoming match.
Back to the intense battle unfolding in the arena.
Aric, his eyes narrowed in seriousness, called out to Kaldarix, his voice tinged with disdain. "I never thought the dragon lord himself would resort to hiding behind a barrage of spells like this. Why don't you call off your magical assault and let us settle this like real men?"
Kaldarix, unfazed by Aric's taunts, stood his ground confidently. "Only fools would throw away such an obvious skill advantage they possess over their enemy,"
He then added, "If I can keep bombarding you with golden swords and tire you out, then it's a win for me. Besides, I don't see the reason to take you more seriously than I already am. Pushing things futher than this would mean I'm out to kill you."
Aric's smirk widened as he responded, "I don't mind that." In an instant, a dark aura began to emanate from Aric's body, enveloping him in it's embrace. The black energy expanded further, spreading out to cover Kaldarix as well, suddenly weighing him down like a gravitational field.
As Kaldarix struggled against the oppressive force bearing down on him, he could feel his strength waning. Nearly forced to his knees, he wonderd, "What this force he is using to pin me down like this?"
Meanwhile, seated in the audience, Akun's keen senses immediately recognized the nature of the skill Aric was using. "Aspect power," he muttered under his breath, his eyes narrowing in deep thought.
Akun's mind raced with questions. How could someone other than him possess aspect power? Did Aric have access to a system like his own? Was it bestowed upon him by the cosmic being as well?
Driven by his growing curiosity, Akun decided to utilize his dragon eyes to peer into Aric's status window, hoping to uncover some answers.
However, the message that appeared before him left him bewildered and shaken to the core. As he read the cryptic words, a surge of confusion and shock washed over him, leaving him questioning the true nature of Aric's power and its origins.
