GRRR
A faint groan of pain escaped Ryuk's lips as he clenched his teeth.
It felt as if molten lava was being poured into his heart, searing through every organ. And yet, at the same time, it was as if he was being reforged—his very being reshaped into something greater. Like a blade being tempered by endless hammering flames.
After five minutes of searing agony, a sudden wave of relief washed over his body as the pain faded away.
But now... something was different.
Looking down at his feet, Ryuk noticed strange tattoos stretching across both legs, extending from his toenails to his knees. There was no clear pattern, yet he faintly felt that they formed a symbol—one he couldn't recognize...for now.
A blue light flickered along the markings, specks of energy seeping from them. His hands instinctively moved toward them, his fingers tracing over the glowing runic lines.
But as he did, his gaze shifted to his arms—and his breath hitched.
The same runic lines covered his arms, spilling out faint blue light from his fingertips to his shoulders. His arms suddenly felt weightless, as if they no longer carried any strength—yet at the same time, his hands filled him with an eerie sense of power.
"Hey, System... what is this?" Ryuk murmured, the unfamiliar sight making him forget the pain he had just endured.

[Host has successfully reached the First Line of True Power in accordance with the system protocol, which requires reaching 200 stat points in an attribute!]
[Now that Host's Strength and Agility have both reached 200, crossing the system's power threshold, the runic lines on Host's legs signify the system's recognition of Agility, while the markings on Host's arms signify the recognition of Strength!]
[Only now has Host truly earned the system's acknowledgment.]
The system explained, but Ryuk couldn't say he fully understood what it meant.
[In short, there is now a massive difference between Host's former strength and speed. It has reached such a level that even the Draconic Pets Evolution System recognizes it and grants its blessing.]
[Right now, Host has truly begun to touch the foundation of Ultimate Power!]
The system's words echoed in his mind as Ryuk's eyes flashed.
Suddenly—
Something moved to his left.
A massive claw, nearly a meter long, slashed through the tree where Ryuk sat.
CRACK!
The thick branches snapped apart like twigs, the attack whistling toward him.
Cold, metallic light gleamed through the air, aiming straight for Ryuk's upper body.
"What the hell!?"
Ryuk barely muttered as he sighted the gleaming metallic light flashing towards his head, mere inches from ripping it to ribbons.
He was well hidden on the tree, with the leaves blocking anything from seeing him above or below, yet there was now a claw inches from him and he never sensed it all.
