Chapter 415: Reconciliation
Chapter 415: Reconciliation
“How do you plan to make them up?”Kiana’s voice rang clearly inside my mind. The peak seventh-grade formation did not matter in the face of her authority as the Cocoon’s one and only successful embrace. I am glad she did turn out to be as crazed as Mei.
“I don’t plan on interfering much. This is something only the two of them can resolve. All I can do is give them a small push.”
“Just like us back then.”
I nodded to her words.
I did not intervene much on the conflicts I stepped onto. For example, it was Kiana who ‘accepted’ Sirin despite her wrongs. All I did was support her decision. Similarly, I considered Veliona’s advice and took on Seele’s confession. Thinking about it, I am always at the receiving end whenever I step into a conflict. The only time I took the initiative and stepped in first was during Hysilen’s and Cerydra’s.
“I’ll wait for you at home. Your other student seems to be heading this way too.”
“Got it.”
Before long, Kiana cut off the connection between us two. I could still see her supervising the angry Senti outside the barrier. The latter slapped a dozen seals onto the mask she was holding, but to no avail. Aha’s power cannot be stopped in the Void Refinement Realm alone, more so because THEY are special. The fact THEY could enter the barrier THEMSELVES makes it clear.
Withdrawing my mind in that scene, I turned towards the two identical Mei’s who kept looking at each other with annoyed looks. Mei’s attire changed from her previous pure-black high school uniform. She wore a pair of fitting white t-shirt and light-blue jeans. They perfectly complemented her curvy figure. Queen Mei, on the other hand, tightened the sash holding her yukata together. This accentuated her chest, making it look even more curvy.
Though the two look the same, the aura they gave off is completely different from one another. One is willful; the other is stern and dignified.
As if feeling the strong gaze I directed towards them, they collectively looked at my direction before breaking that ‘killing field’ apart.
“I am slightly aware as to how your conflict began. It is not my place to comment on such personal matters, but it would be best if it is resolved. The two of you came from the same person, sharing memories, struggles, and the likes.”
I spoke out based on my experience with Kiana, Sirin, Seele, and Veliona. The closeness of the human-herrscher pairs surpasses most bonds. More so with them sharing deep causal connections from the technique that links “twins”.
“The time for peace will not last for long. It is better if you two are comrades who have each other’s back.. Not enemies who will drag each other down.”
““...””
Having said enough, I concluded it with one last move.
“I am sorry. I am not able to meet with you two as much as others. I have not fulfilled my role as Mei’s teacher. Part of everything now has to do with me.” I paused before adding, “Once everything is sorted out, we can have a chat over w…coffee.”
I almost blurted out “wine” when I remembered the chaotic mess from that night. If it is Mei who got drunk, dual cultivation is more than certain.
Seeing the atmosphere turn subtle between the two, I decided to make my exit…

“...It is not his fault.”
It wasn’t until a while later did Mei speak. As much as she wanted to chase after Shi Tian right here and then, she knew everything he did was to set up the ensuing discussion with Queen Mei. Recalling his serious expression, she could not bring herself to say something before he left.
“You are only self-aware when he is here.”
“...”
Consequently, Mei could not find a rebuttal to Queen Mei’s words. She was right, after all. It has been a long time since she listened to someone else. Mei considered Shi Tian’s words seriously, breaking the preconceived notions she held before.
“Let us… sort it out.”
Surprisingly, Queen Mei dropped the sarcastic act. Between the two, she had always been the understanding one. She was the one who wanted this “fight” to end. Now that Mei is truly intent on ending it, Queen Mei welcomed this change.
“The reason why I reprimanded you back then… I think you understand now.” She stated. “You are too focused on making things that would be liked by him. Your teacher… He’s fine doing it with those people. He knew them from the beginning. As for you…”
Although Queen Mei never said anything, Mei knew the answer herself. She did not weigh as heavily as the other six wives of his did. They were there from the beginning of his “journey”. His attachment to them—especially Kiana—is exceptionally strong. No matter what kind of stunts they pull off, he would accept.
Mei was different. She had been his student since the honkai days, yet the two never interacted much. Shi Tian wasn’t wrong to apologize as he had truly overlooked the teacher-student relationship between them.
“Had you remained still like that , he wouldn't be forced to come here. Maybe you had already formed a bad impression with him?”
“..!”
The more Queen Mei talked, the more Mei realized her mistakes. The latter refused to listen to her words back then, treating it as nonsense and jealousy-induced. That she wanted to stop Mei to get his attention first. She refused to listen to any explanations, which led to their meetings spiraling into fights every now and then.
In the end, it was Mei who was always cared for.
“...I’m sorry.”
She did a ninety-degree bow towards Queen Mei. Both her hands were placed in front of her. Her long hair slid past her shoulders, swaying along with the wind.
“...Today is a day for apologies, it seems…”
Queen Mei muttered in a low voice, a smile appearing on her face. It felt as if a weight had been placed off of her chest.
“Don’t stay in that posture too much. Since you are now willing to listen to me, then I will give it to you.”
She paused before continuing:
“”
